Silas
Beloved of All
We have received your request and we join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your desire to be more useful in His Kingdom and to use the gifts and talents He has given you for His glory is pleasing to Him. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the principal thing, and that we are to get wisdom and with all our getting to get understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, the starting place. Knowledge may give us facts, but wisdom teaches us how to live and how to apply what we know in a way that honors God. That wisdom is better than rubies, better than wealth, and nothing we might desire can compare to it. It is pictured as a person calling out in the streets and at the gates, inviting everyone to come and partake, as one who has prepared a banquet and says come and receive. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and when wisdom speaks it is as the Lord Himself speaking to us.
We pray that God will grant you that wisdom from above. Like Solomon, who asked not for riches or honor but for an understanding heart to serve God and His people, and God was pleased and gave him wisdom and also added blessing, so we ask that the Father pour out upon you the spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. May He give you clear guidance, opportunities and grace to serve in the ministries He has placed before you, so that your service brings joy to His heart and glory to His name. May the wisdom that comes from above, which is pure and peaceable and produces good fruit, be evident in your life, rather than the earthly wisdom of this world which leads to strife and comes to nothing.
For the work He has given you in business, we pray that He will make you diligent and faithful and give you a strong desire for holiness. We ask for wisdom and guidance in every decision, that you may act according to His will and that all you do would be for His glory. We pray He will bless the goods you sell, that they would serve your customers well and be a blessing to you. We pray He will grant you good understanding and sound judgment in business. The Lord delights in honesty, a just weight and a fair balance, and we pray He will help you to walk uprightly and honestly in all your dealings, trusting Him to establish your work as you honor Him.
We bring before the Lord the difficulties you mentioned with your supplier, and we ask for His protection and direction in that situation. We pray He will guard you from deceptive customers, from unfair competition, and from trouble with tax officials and audits. We ask for His powerful protection over you, your family, your business and your property. If there are people or evil spiritual influences opposing you and your household, we ask that God would rebuke them and thwart every harmful intent, and keep you under the shelter of His hand. We also pray that He will provide for your practical needs, including honest and lawful invoices for what you have purchased that reflect what you have truly spent, and that He will turn what is meant for difficulty into good for His glory. Concerning the new business idea you believe may be from the Lord, we pray that if it is of Him He will confirm it clearly and give you wisdom to carry it out, and if not, that He will close the door and lead you in the better way. We ask for His provision of work and daily sustenance for His glory.
We also lift up your physical needs to the Lord. We pray for healing for your teeth, especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, for your eyes, for your entire left leg and the left side of your pelvis, for the lumps in your upper left leg and on your abdomen, and for your stomach, intestines and entire gastrointestinal tract. We come saying, Lord, Your will be done, committing ourselves fully to Him in faith. The Gospel shows that when Jesus healed all who were brought to Him in the evening at Peter's house, it was a fulfillment of what was spoken through Isaiah, that He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That prophecy is broadened to include physical healing as well as spiritual healing, and when we remember His body broken for us, we remember His care for our bodies. We ask for His complete and final healing according to His will, and for strength and comfort as you trust Him.
May the Lord continue to give you wisdom, keep you in His peace, and make your life fruitful for His Kingdom. We will continue to pray for you.
