We lift up our brother in Christ who has submitted this prayer request, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s will for our political leader and the future of our nation. It is good and right to pray for those in authority, as Scripture instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." We recognize that all leadership is ultimately established by God, as Romans 13:1 reminds us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, asking for Your divine wisdom, strength, and protection to rest upon this leader. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that You would elevate him to a position of greater influence, where he may serve with integrity, justice, and compassion. Grant him a heart that seeks Your guidance in every decision, that he may lead with humility and a deep sense of responsibility for the people entrusted to his care. We ask that You would remove every obstacle and scheme of the enemy that seeks to hinder his path, and that You would surround him with godly counsel and wisdom from above.
Lord, we pray for the formation of a stable and righteous government that prioritizes the welfare of the people. May Your peace and unity prevail in our land, and may the leaders be instruments of Your justice and mercy. We ask for solutions to the challenges facing our nation—economic struggles, social divisions, and any form of injustice. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your truth guide the decisions made for the good of all.
We also pray for the people of our nation, that they would turn their hearts toward You, seeking Your face and Your will. May there be a revival of faith, righteousness, and love among us, so that we may be a people who honor You in all things. Father, we know that without You, our efforts are in vain, as Psalm 127:1 declares, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."
We rebuke any spirit of division, corruption, or ungodliness that seeks to undermine the work of righteous leadership. We stand against the schemes of the enemy and declare that no weapon formed against this leader or our nation shall prosper, for Isaiah 54:17 tells us, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh."
We trust in Your sovereign plan, Lord, and we submit this request to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our nation as it is in heaven. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
