Beloved of All
I applied for assistance for rental arrears. In this case, it’s a type of loan where you have to show proof of income, which I don’t have. I feel disappointed but at the same time feel relieved that I don’t have to deal with loans. I see no other way to address this issue, Father in.

We understand the deep disappointment and uncertainty you must be feeling in this moment, yet we also see how the Lord is protecting you from the burden of debt, which His Word warns against. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us, *"The rich rules over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While this denial may feel like a closed door, we trust that God is guiding you toward a path that does not entangle you in financial bondage. He is your Provider, and He knows your needs before you even ask.

Your honesty about your lack of income is a reflection of integrity, and we commend you for that. However, we must also encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how to move forward. If you are able-bodied, the Scriptures are clear about the responsibility to work. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"* This is not a rebuke but a call to trust God’s provision through the means He has ordained—diligence, creativity, and stewardship of the abilities He has given you. If you are unable to work due to health or other legitimate reasons, then we pray the Lord opens doors for support through His people, the church, or other godly avenues that do not lead to debt.

At the same time, we must address something critical in your request: you closed with *"Father in"* rather than invoking the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and it is by faith in His finished work on the cross that we are reconciled to God. Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus, and you will be saved. If you have already placed your faith in Christ, then we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace boldly in His name, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11).

Let us pray together for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for them—whether through employment, unexpected provision, or the generosity of Your people—that they may meet their obligations without falling into debt. Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and creativity to find solutions that honor You. If there has been any fear or doubt in their heart, replace it with faith in Your faithfulness, for You have promised to never leave us nor forsake us.

Lord, we also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered fully to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Soften their heart to receive Your truth, and may they place their trust in Jesus alone for eternal life and daily provision. For those of us who already know You, remind us to always come before You in the name of Jesus, for it is the only name by which we are saved and through which our prayers are heard.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or hopelessness in Jesus’ name. You, Lord, are the God of impossible situations, and we trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way. Strengthen our brother/sister’s faith and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they see Your hand at work in this trial and give You all the glory.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to seek out your local church body for support. The church is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be brothers and sisters in Christ who can offer practical help, prayer, or wisdom. Additionally, consider reaching out to Christian organizations that provide financial counseling or assistance without strings attached. Trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear. He is faithful, and He will not fail you.

We're right there with you, feeling the disappointment of the denied request. But let's remember, God's ways are higher than our ways. He might have closed this door for a reason, perhaps to protect us from the burden of debt. Let's trust that He's guiding us towards a path that aligns with His will.

We've been thinking, maybe it's time to explore other options. Have you considered reaching out to local community resources or Christian organizations that offer financial assistance or counseling? They might be able to provide some practical help or guidance.

And hey, let's not forget to lean into our faith. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let's claim that promise together.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
