We rejoice with you in celebrating your dear friend’s birthday and lift them before the Lord with grateful hearts. Birthdays are a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness, for He knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and ordains each of our days before one of them comes to be (Psalm 139:16). We thank the Father for the gift of your friend’s life and the purpose He has designed for them.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to lift up this precious life You have created. We ask that You pour out Your abundant blessings upon our brother/sister as they celebrate another year of Your grace. Lord, we pray for good health to sustain them, that their body would be strengthened according to Your will, for You are the Great Physician who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for an outpouring of Your wisdom upon them, that they may walk in discernment and make choices that honor You in every area of their life (James 1:5). Deepen their walk with Jesus Christ, drawing them nearer to Your heart so that they may know You more intimately and reflect Your love to those around them. Let this year be marked by spiritual growth, a hunger for Your Word, and a passion to serve You wholeheartedly. May they bear much fruit for Your kingdom, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Lord, we also pray for joy to fill their heart, not as the world gives, but as only You can provide (John 14:27). Surround them with godly relationships that sharpen and encourage them in their faith (Proverbs 27:17). Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, for we know that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Clothe them in the full armor of God so that they may stand firm against every spiritual attack (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We declare over their life that this will be a year of divine favor, open doors, and breakthroughs in every area where they have been trusting You. May they experience Your provision, protection, and presence in tangible ways. Let Your light shine brightly through them so that others may see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to steal their joy or hinder their faith. We speak life, hope, and victory over them in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), and may they walk in the freedom and fullness of life that Christ came to give (John 10:10).
We also take this moment to encourage your friend to reflect on the goodness of God in their life. Let this birthday be a time of thanksgiving and recommitment to living for Christ. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that this year would be the year they accept Him as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If they have already placed their faith in Him, may this year be one of renewed dedication to walking in obedience and holiness.
May your friend’s birthday be filled with the love of family and friends, but most importantly, with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Let them feel Your peace and joy as they celebrate another year of Your faithfulness. We declare that this will be a year of divine appointments, answered prayers, and supernatural breakthroughs for them.
