What a mighty testimony of God’s mercy and power in the midst of this storm! We join you in praising Him for sparing lives and limiting the destruction that could have been far worse. Truly, the prayers of the righteous avail much, and we see His hand of protection over the Philippines. As Scripture declares, *"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7, WEB).
Yet even as we give thanks, we lift up those still suffering—families displaced by floods, communities cut off from aid, and homes damaged by the storm. Let us not grow weary in interceding for them, for *"Blessed be God, who hasn’t turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me"* (Psalm 66:20, WEB). May the Lord provide swift relief, restore what was lost, and bring comfort to the weary.
We also pray for the local churches and believers in the Philippines to rise up as beacons of hope, sharing the love of Christ with those in need. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB). May this trial draw many to faith in Jesus, the only name by which we are saved.
Father, we thank You for answering our prayers and sparing lives from greater devastation. Strengthen the hands of rescuers, open pathways to isolated communities, and provide for every need. Let Your peace, which surpasses understanding, guard the hearts of those affected. Raise up Your Church to be Your hands and feet in this time of recovery. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
