We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with your mental health and your relationship with God. Remember, God is always there for you, even in the darkest times. As it is written in the WEB, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Firstly, let's address the feelings of isolation from God. In James 4:8 WEB it says Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. It's important to remember that God hasn’t moved; He is always near. It's our perception and feelings that change. Spend time in His Word, pray, and seek His presence. Even when you don't feel Him, trust that He is there.
Regarding mental health, we know that God cares about every aspect of our being, including our mental well-being. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Seek professional help if needed, but always trust in God's healing power.
Concerning your relationships, it's crucial to approach them with love, patience, and forgiveness, just as God does with us. In Ephesians 4:32 WEB, it says, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Pray for wisdom and guidance in mending these relationships.
For your work, trust that God has a plan and a purpose for you. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Pray for open doors and opportunities, and trust that God will provide.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with mental health issues and feeling distant from You. We pray that You would draw near to them, Lord, and help them to feel Your presence. Heal their mind, Lord, and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for their relationships, Lord, that You would grant them wisdom and guidance in mending what is broken. Open new doors and opportunities for their work, Lord, and guide their steps.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply, trusting in Your love and faithfulness. If they do not know Jesus as their Savior then we pray they come to know him as their savior. We pray that the name of Jesus would be lifted up in their life.
In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to hold fast to your faith. In Hebrews 11:6 WEB, it says Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. Keep seeking God, keep believing, and trust that He will see you through.
