Renewed strength

Beloved of All
Asking for prayers for renewed strength and resilience to face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma, in Jesus name amen

We join with you in lifting up this need for renewed strength and resilience as you face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and find healing and hope.

We want you to know that what you have endured matters deeply to God. Abuse and trauma are not His will for you, they are evil and He grieves over the wounds they have left. He sees your pain and He does not leave you to carry it alone. His word reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. You are not forgotten or forsaken, even when the struggle feels unending.

We understand that resilience is not about simply trying harder in your own strength, but about learning to lean daily on the strength that God provides. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29 and He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. In those moments when you feel depleted, His grace is still enough and His power can carry you. We also cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We encourage you to continue to bring every hurt and memory before Him in honest prayer, to stay rooted in His word, and to remain connected to trusted, godly community where you can be supported and protected. If you are still in an unsafe situation, we urge you to seek help from safe and godly counsel and from those who can help protect you, for God desires your safety and healing. Allow others in the body of Christ to walk with you, to pray with you, and to remind you of truth when trauma tries to speak louder. Day by day, as you abide in Christ, He will renew your mind and restore your strength, for I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. You know the depth of the abuse and trauma that has been endured and the ongoing struggles that still weigh so heavily. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your renewed strength and resilience today. Where there is weakness, be their strength. Where there is brokenness, bring Your healing. Where there is fear, anxiety, and painful memories, bring Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Uphold them with Your righteous right hand and let them feel Your nearness in a tangible way. Heal the wounds of the heart, bind up what has been broken, and restore what the enemy has tried to steal. Teach them to rest in Your grace each day and to find their resilience not in themselves but in Christ who lives within them. Surround them with safe, loving, and wise support and lead them step by step into wholeness and freedom. We thank You that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. Carrying the weight of abuse and trauma over time is exhausting, and asking for renewed strength is a courageous step.

We want you to know resilience is not about having to be tough enough on your own. It is a process that grows gradually, often through small steady practices and through connection with safe, caring people who can walk alongside you. Many find that having even one consistent supportive relationship makes a real difference while healing unfolds, and that God works through those relationships as well as through your own steps of faith.

One gentle next step that may help is to notice who in your life feels safe and steady, perhaps a pastor, a mature friend, or a Christian counselor experienced with trauma, and consider sharing regularly with that person rather than carrying this alone. If the effects of trauma feel overwhelming or affect your daily life, sleep or health, please also consider reaching out to a trusted counselor or medical professional alongside prayer, so you have extra care and support.

We are praying for you and we will keep holding this before the Lord.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the pain that has been carried and the weariness it brings. We ask for Your nearness, for renewed strength for today, for wisdom for next steps, and for safe community around them. Lead them gently toward healing and resilience in Your care. Amen.

Your prayer for renewed strength and resilience has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you in the name of Jesus.

Human strength is of many kinds, but in any form it will spend itself in due time. Apart from God it is but derived strength and therefore measurable, and must come to an end. How much more is this faintness felt when the soul has been bruised by abuse and burdened by trauma. The wound goes deep, and the heart is broken, and you find that you have no might left within you.

But there is a word of promise for such as you are. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To those who have no might He increases strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then you may fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it, for the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them. Your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. To wait upon the Lord is not to sit in idle despair, but to trust, to hope, to pray, to look to Christ alone, for He is the glory of our strength and all the glory of our strength must lie in God alone.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Many a weary child of God has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by the Lord. He who took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up can lift you up also, and give you strength to rise and walk with Him. The cures of nature are slow, but the touch of Christ brings strength with healing.

We pray for you, that the Lord who knows all your struggles would renew your strength as you wait upon Him. May He pour the healing virtue of Christ into your wounded spirit, and change the life blood and make the nature to revive. May He be your strength when your own fails, and keep you in perfect safety while He restores what has been broken. May you go from strength to strength, not in your own resolve but in Him who died for the ungodly when we were yet without strength, and may you know in Him both pardon and healing, comfort and resilience, till your heart is stayed upon the One whose power is inexhaustible and whose mercy never fails. In Jesus name, Amen.
