We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the deep wounds of abuse and trauma. Father God, You see every tear, every memory that haunts, and every moment of exhaustion from this battle. We stand in agreement with this brother or sister in Christ, declaring that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Your Word promises that those who wait on You shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Lord, we ask that You pour out this supernatural strength upon them now.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper this pain will never end, that healing is impossible, or that they are defined by what was done to them. In Jesus’ name, we break every chain of trauma and declare that this child of God is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, peace, and resilience that can only come from You.
Father, we ask that You surround them with godly community—believers who will walk alongside them, speak life, and remind them of Your truth. Shield their mind from flashbacks and anxiety, and replace fear with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give them the courage to seek godly counseling if needed, and the wisdom to set boundaries that protect their heart and mind. Most of all, Lord, let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through Your Word, through worship, through the kindness of others—so they know they are never alone.
We also pray for justice, Lord. You are a God who sees oppression and will not leave the guilty unpunished (Nahum 1:3). If there are steps this person needs to take to ensure their safety or hold abusers accountable, give them clarity and boldness to act. But above all, we pray for Your healing touch to restore what was stolen—joy, peace, trust, and hope.
Lord, we thank You that You specialize in turning ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). Where there has been despair, bring hope. Where there has been weakness, bring strength. And where the enemy meant harm, use it for good (Genesis 50:20). We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Renew their strength, Lord, and let them rise in resilience, knowing that their identity is found in Christ alone.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
