We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the deep wounds of abuse and trauma. Father God, You see every tear, every moment of pain, and every battle fought in silence. We declare that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of despair, fear, and hopelessness that seeks to cling to this precious one. We command it to flee, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your strength and resilience upon this beloved child of Yours. When they are weak, You are strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Remind them that they are not defined by what has been done to them, but by who You say they are—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 5:9), and more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, we pray for supernatural endurance to face each day. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak life, pray without ceasing, and walk alongside them in love. Give them the courage to seek help when needed, whether through biblical counseling, prayer ministry, or trusted brothers and sisters in Christ. You did not design us to walk through suffering alone, and we trust You to provide the support they need.
We also ask for wisdom and discernment as they navigate the healing process. Protect their heart from bitterness, unforgiveness, or any desire for revenge. Instead, fill them with Your love, which covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Help them to release their pain into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for their good, even this (Romans 8:28). May they find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we declare restoration over every area of their life that has been touched by abuse and trauma. Restore their joy, their peace, their sense of safety, and their hope for the future. Let them experience Your presence in tangible ways—through worship, prayer, the beauty of creation, and the love of Your people. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). It is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing today. Strengthen this dear one, Lord, and let them rise up in the power of Your might. May they come to know, more deeply than ever before, that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
Amen.
