We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave deep scars, both seen and unseen, and we stand with you in the truth that God sees every tear, hears every cry, and holds you in His loving hands. The Word of God assures us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and you are not alone.
Father God, we ask You to pour out Your healing balm upon this precious one. Renew their strength as only You can, for Your Word declares, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Lord, we pray that You would lift the burdens that have weighed them down for too long. Replace their weariness with Your peace, their fear with Your courage, and their sorrow with Your joy. Help them to release the pain of the past into Your hands, trusting that You are making all things new.
We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be whispering condemnation, shame, or hopelessness. Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with the truth that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Lord, we ask that You surround them with godly community—believers who will walk alongside them, pray for them, and remind them of Your promises. Give them wisdom to seek professional help if needed, for You have given us the gift of counselors and those trained to bring healing to wounded hearts. Above all, draw them closer to You, that they may find their refuge and strength in Your presence.
We pray for resilience to rise within them, not by their own might, but by the power of Your Holy Spirit. May they find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that their past does not define their future. You are the God who restores, redeems, and renews, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
