Remove this person from my way amen!

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Lord please can you remove my collegue from my classroom. She is using it whenever she can, even when she is not in my classroom (according to the schedule). She is like intruder this year in my life. Always interrupting me while i prepare material for my classes, throwing me out in the middle of my eating (gasrric diet) and humiliating me infront of her pupils/teenagers (she was suppose to be in other classroom but she doesnt like it and she was arrogant and threw me out - she obviously doesnt understand my curcumstances, which usually happens to narcissists). I see that i will be forced to fight with her or be like a snake or you will pray for me to deliver me from that spirit of sabotage/intruder...she is in fact in my way. Lord remove her and deal with her arrogance in Jesus name. She thinks she is entitled to everything. The principle punished her already for something else...her name is ###.

We hear your distress about this ongoing conflict in your workplace and the deep frustration you feel when your classroom, your preparation time, and even your mealtime for your gastric diet are being interrupted and when you have felt humiliated in front of students. We understand how wearying it is to feel intruded upon day after day, and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.

We want to gently rebuke and correct some of what you have expressed, because we love you and want you to walk in a way that honors God. To ask the Lord to simply remove a person from your way can come from a heart of anger and vengeance, and to consider becoming like a snake or fighting with her is not the way of Christ. We are called not to repay evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19 says, Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:21 says, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. We also must be careful about judging her heart and labeling her as a narcissist who does not understand, for only God sees the heart fully. Matthew 7:1-2 warns us, Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged. Instead we are called to love even those who mistreat us. Matthew 5:44 says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

We also notice you mentioned her being punished by the principal already for something else. We must guard our hearts from rejoicing when someone who has hurt us faces discipline, and instead desire her restoration. God calls us to humility and to consider others. Philippians 2:3-4 says, doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself, each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

This does not mean that what she is doing is right. Interrupting your work, disregarding the schedule, throwing you out while you are eating, and humiliating you before teenagers is not respectful or loving, and it is right to seek order and peace. God is a God of order and peace. Romans 12:18 says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Proverbs 15:1 says, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. And James 1:19-20 says, So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

We encourage you to address this biblically and practically. First, go to her privately in gentleness and with a soft answer, explaining the schedule, your need for uninterrupted preparation time, and your medical need to eat without being displaced, and how you felt when humiliated. If she will not listen, then it is appropriate to go with a witness or to appeal respectfully to the proper authority, which in this case is your principal, not to punish her but to establish clear boundaries and stewardship of the classrooms. Matthew 18:15 says, If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. Ephesians 4:32 says, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.

We are thankful you invoked the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cling to that name together.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this classroom and in both lives. Lord, we ask You to search our hearts and create in us a clean heart, removing any root of bitterness, anger, or desire for revenge, and filling us with Your love and forgiveness. Give our dear coworker peace in her own struggles and help her to see where she has acted arrogantly or without consideration, and bring her to humility and repentance if she has sinned. Lord, we ask for Your healing and protection over this gastric condition and for provision of a quiet, dignified place and time to eat and to prepare. Grant wisdom to the principal to lead with fairness and clarity regarding the schedule and use of rooms. Teach us to speak with gentleness and truth, to be slow to anger, and to be peacemakers who are called children of God as Matthew 5:9 promises. Let Your peace which passes all understanding guard our hearts. Help us not to become like a snake or to fight in the flesh, but to overcome evil with good and to trust Your justice and timing. Let this classroom be a place of order, respect, and testimony to Your grace. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We can hear how draining this has been for you. Having someone come into the classroom you are responsible for, interrupting your preparation and even your meal time, and feeling humiliated in front of students would leave anyone on edge. It makes sense you feel intruded upon and just want space to do your work well and care for your health.

One insight that helps many people in tight workplace situations is thinking of boundaries as a kind of property line. They help us name what is ours to steward, our time, our energy, our responsibilities in that classroom, and what is not ours to carry, so we can stay connected to others and still be free to say a clear yes or no with kindness.

When you have a calm moment, it may help to get the room schedule in writing and ask your principal or administrator to clarify who uses which room and when, so expectations are clear for both of you. If you do speak with your colleague, a brief private conversation focused on one specific need at a time, like uninterrupted preparation time or being able to finish eating without interruption, often goes further than trying to address everything at once. Having a trusted third person present or keeping a simple written note of what was agreed can also help keep things calm and fair.

We are carrying you in prayer.

Father, You see the strain our sister is carrying at work and the hurt of feeling disrespected. Give her wisdom and steady peace, and help her find words that are both truthful and gentle. Guard her health and her heart, and guide those in authority toward a fair and workable solution. Bring her rest and encouragement in You day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have heard the heaviness you carry in your daily work. To be interrupted while you prepare, to be denied quiet even in the time of your meal when your body requires care, and to feel humiliated before others in the very place where you labour, is a trial that would weary any heart. The Lord knows these moments and sees the conflict in that classroom.

Yet in this trial we must look not only at what is done to us, but at what has been done for us, and what is now required of us. The Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. That word was not written for a distant age only, but for this present moment. There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ, full and complete, not measured out by degrees, but given freely to those who confess their need. When we have seen Jesus die, we have not been able to understand how any sin could be difficult to remove. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal. If you have known this forgiveness, though you were the chief of sinners, you have received the chief of sinners forgiveness, and the record of your debt has been nailed to the Cross.

And the pattern set before us is this, Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. We are to study that pattern and then to copy it. Christ forgives in a continuous manner. He does not forgive and afterwards accuse. His forgiveness is complete, as though the sin had never been. Admire as much the way in which Christ forgives as the forgiveness which He bestows. It was with love and patience that He sought us, and so we are called to show love and patience to others.

To win a conflict in Gods way, with no weapons but love, patience and forgiveness, this is the most glorious of victories. Blessed is that man who is more than a conqueror because he inflicts no wounds in the conflict, but overcomes evil with good. To fight with the same spirit that has wounded you, or to become as a snake toward another, would only add bitterness to your own soul and grieve the Spirit of Christ. It is not by cunning or by strife that peace is gained.

We cannot pray as you have asked that God would simply remove this colleague or deal with her in anger, for we are taught to pray for those who despitefully use us and to seek their good. Instead we will pray that the Lord will work in both hearts. We will ask Him to give you wisdom to set right boundaries with gentleness, to give you grace to speak privately and plainly with your colleague about the use of the room and the interruptions, and if needed to seek the help of those in authority with a calm and respectful spirit. We will ask Him to guard you from a root of bitterness, to heal the hurt of humiliation, to provide for your health and need of quiet nourishment, and to make you steadfast in meekness before the young people who watch your conduct.

We will also pray for your colleague, that the Lord would soften what is hard, correct what is arrogant, and lead her to see her own need of grace. For there is forgiveness with God even for her, whatever her faults have been, if she will turn to Christ.

May you prove in this place that there is a more excellent way. Come to the Lord Jesus anew with your own sins and sorrows, and receive afresh His complete forgiveness. Then, in the strength of that forgiveness, extend forgiveness to her who has grieved you. In that path, whether the outward trial is soon lifted or remains for a season, your heart may know peace, and Christ may be honoured in your classroom.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your distress over this classroom situation has been heard, and the hurt you feel from being interrupted, displaced while you are trying to eat for your health, and humiliated in front of students is real and difficult to carry.

It is understandable to want the struggle to be taken away quickly and to ask God to remove the other person from your way. Yet Scripture does not teach us to pray for the harm or removal of those who trouble us, nor to meet conflict by becoming like a snake or by rushing into a fight. Instead we are taught to bear all things with patience, and to show by our patience that we truly trust the One who has promised to be with us. Faith is shown not only when God answers at once, but when He seems to delay and we do not despair or grow fainthearted, but continue to believe He is good and at work. Patience and hope strengthen each other, and both are nourished as we stay close to the Scriptures.

You are also taught not to seek out conflict, but to deprecate it. When we are dragged into a trial we are to stand with nobleness of spirit, but when we are not summoned we are to be quiet and wait for the proper time, showing freedom from vainglory. Many conflicts spring from vainglory, envy, or the desire to possess what belongs to another, and the way to cut off the fruit is to cut the root by learning to despise the passing things of this life and to value what is from God. The person who wrongs another does not truly steal your honor in God's sight, and your treasure above remains secure even when earthly comfort or reputation is disturbed. This does not excuse arrogant or intrusive behavior, but it helps keep your own heart from being consumed by it.

Rather than praying for God to deal harshly with your colleague, the better prayer is that God would give you endurance, wisdom, and peace, and that He would work in both of your hearts toward humility and kindness. It is also right to seek orderly help. Since a schedule exists and a principal has already been involved, continue to address the practical matter calmly and through proper authority. Speak clearly and without accusation about the need for the classroom according to the schedule, about your health need to eat undisturbed, and about being treated with respect in front of students. Keep a written record, ask for a clear agreement about room use, and invite a neutral leader to help mediate so that you are not forced into personal retaliation.

I will pray for you, not that God would remove your colleague in anger, but that He would sustain you in this trial, heal and strengthen your body, guard your heart from bitterness, grant you patience that endures even under provocation, and give wisdom to your school leadership to establish peace and fairness. I will also pray for your colleague, that God would grant her humility and consideration for others.

May the Lord comfort you with His patience, keep you in hope as you wait on Him, and teach you to endure affliction without being troubled, trusting that He will bring what is needed in His time.
