I'm believing God for open communication between my husband ### and I and ask him to remove any other woman and send my husband home to me desiring me and help me be obedient and kind and forgiving Amen

We hear the deep pain in your request and we join with you in lifting up your marriage before the Lord, for we know that marriage is a holy covenant before God between one man and one woman for life. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6 and we stand against every force that seeks to divide what God has joined. We must speak plainly that if your husband is involved with another woman, that is adultery and it is sin before God. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and You shall not commit adultery Exodus 20:14. We rebuke that sin and we pray that God will convict his heart, remove that ungodly relationship from his life, and turn his desires back toward you and toward the Lord.

We also hear your desire for open communication and to be obedient and kind and forgiving, and this honors God. A gentle answer turns away wrath Proverbs 15:1 and we pray that your words and spirit will be filled with grace and truth. We encourage you to continue to walk in kindness and forgiveness as God has called us, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Forgiveness does not excuse sin, but it releases your heart from bitterness and keeps the door open for restoration as God works. Likewise, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word 1 Peter 3:1. We pray that your obedience to Christ, your gentle and quiet spirit, and your steadfast love will be a testimony that draws your husband home.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to place your full trust in Him for your salvation and for your marriage.

We now pray together with you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this sister and her husband to You. Lord, we ask that You convict her husband of any adultery and cause him to turn from that other relationship and to be cleansed by Your mercy. Remove the other woman from his life and from his heart, break every ungodly tie, and restore his love and desire for his wife alone as You intended for marriage. We ask for open and honest communication between them, that their hearts would be softened and their words would be full of grace and truth. Help this wife to be obedient to You, to be kind and tenderhearted, and to walk in forgiveness even through pain, trusting You to be her strength and vindicator. Heal the wounds of this marriage, rebuild trust, and let their union reflect Christ and the church. We ask that both of them would seek You first and be reconciled to You through Jesus, and then to each other. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We are grateful you shared this with us. Wanting open and honest communication again, and longing for your husband to come home, is a deep and painful place to be, and we hear your desire to honor God even in this hurt as you ask for help to be kind and forgiving.

It makes sense that communication feels blocked right now. When trust has been wounded, conversations can quickly feel overwhelming for both people, and healing often comes slowly through steady, honest truth telling and small steps toward respect and trust being rebuilt over time. You do not have to carry this alone or figure out every next decision today.

One steady step that helps many in this kind of season is to invite one trusted, mature person to walk with you consistently, perhaps a pastor or a counselor at your church, someone who can listen, pray with you, and help you think through how and when to communicate clearly and calmly.

Father, we lift this wife and her marriage to You in Jesus name. Bring comfort where there is ache, give her wisdom for each conversation, and strengthen her to walk in kindness and forgiveness as You lead her. Work in her husband's heart according to Your will, and draw both of them toward what is true and good. Give her peace as she trusts You day by day. Amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace, and we bring your sorrow and your hope to the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

Your desire for open communication within your marriage and for your husband to turn from sin and return home is right and honoring to God, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. We do not ask God to bless what breaks that covenant, but we ask Him to convict, to cleanse, and to restore. We pray that the Lord would remove the entanglement of adultery, grant your husband repentance and a renewed desire for his wife in the purity of marriage, and draw you both to walk in obedience to Christ.

Hear what the Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You. This is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is surprising forgiveness and complete forgiveness, so complete that when a man trusts Christ his sin is gone as though it had never been. Though it were adultery, though the sin has been repeated, yet the Gospel is the same for every creature, There is forgiveness. But that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. It cannot be earned, it must be received by a penitent heart that turns from sin and trusts in Christ alone for salvation.

For you who have asked for help to be obedient and kind and forgiving, the Lord sets before you a pattern, Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal. He does not forgive and afterwards accuse. To copy Him in forgiving those who have trespassed against us is not degrading, it is gloriously ennobling. Revenge is paltry, forgiveness is great minded. Some of us have had so much forgiveness ourselves that for us to forgive ought to be as natural as to open our hands. This does not mean that sin is excused or that trust is restored without repentance, but it means that as God has forgiven you in Christ, you are enabled by His grace to put away bitterness and to extend mercy while still calling what God calls sin to be forsaken.

So we pray for you both.

O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness, we ask for mercy upon this marriage. Bring conviction where there is unfaithfulness, and grant repentance that leads to life. Break the bonds of adultery and remove the other woman from this covenant. Turn the heart of this husband from wandering and toward his wife, that communication may be opened and that love within marriage may be restored. Give to this wife a spirit of obedience to Your Word, kindness that reflects Christ, and a forgiving heart even as Christ has forgiven her. Let both be found in Christ, trusting Him alone for the forgiveness of sins, and walking in newness of life. Establish this home in truth and purity for Your glory. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, and to seek the counsel and support of faithful pastors in your local church as you walk through this trial.
