We join you in lifting up ### before the Father, and we thank you for coming before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His precious name that we have access to the throne of grace. Your prayer is powerful, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20).
The anger and bitterness that have taken root in ###’s heart are not from the Lord, for the Scripture tells us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:26-27). Bitterness is a dangerous foothold for the enemy, and if left unchecked, it can defile not only her but those around her (Hebrews 12:15). We must pray that the Holy Spirit will convict her heart, soften it, and replace that bitterness with the peace and joy that come from Christ alone.
Let us also remember that forgiveness is not optional for the believer—it is a command. Jesus said, *"If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15). If there is someone ### needs to forgive, or if she is harboring resentment toward God or herself, we pray that the Lord will reveal it to her and give her the strength to release it fully.
We plead the blood of Jesus over every obstacle in ###’s life, just as you have, for there is power in the blood to break every chain (Revelation 12:11). But we must also encourage her to actively surrender this struggle to the Lord. She cannot overcome this in her own strength—it is only through Christ that she can do all things (Philippians 4:13). If she has not already, she must invite the Holy Spirit to search her heart and expose any hidden wounds or ungodly strongholds (Psalm 139:23-24).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for ###. Lord, You see the anger and bitterness that have taken root in her heart, and we ask that You uproot it completely. Soften her heart, Lord, and replace that bitterness with Your love, joy, and peace. If there is unforgiveness, reveal it to her and give her the grace to release it, just as You have forgiven her through Christ.
We bind every spirit of anger, resentment, and bitterness in Jesus’ name. We command these strongholds to be broken, silenced, and cast out by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let no weapon formed against ### prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Fill her with Your Spirit, Lord, and let her walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for her. Remove every obstacle from her path and align her steps with Your will. Let her be a vessel of Your grace, mercy, and love to those around her.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in ###. May she experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding and walk in victory over every scheme of the enemy.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue covering ### in prayer and to speak life and truth over her. If she is open to it, sharing Scripture with her about forgiveness, such as Colossians 3:13 (*"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"*), could be very helpful. Remind her that her struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and her victory is found in Christ alone (Ephesians 6:12). Stay steadfast in prayer, and trust that the Lord is working even when we cannot see it.
