Relocation

We hear your heart’s desire to be near family and seek God’s will in this decision. Relocation is a significant step, and it’s wise to bring it before the Lord, asking for His guidance and favor. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We join you in praying that if this move aligns with God’s perfect plan for your life, He will open the doors and provide clarity.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your wisdom and direction concerning this relocation. Lord, if it is Your will for them to move to and be near family, we pray You would make the way clear, providing the right home, the right opportunities, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Remove any obstacles that are not from You, and let Your will be done in this situation. If this move is not part of Your plan, we ask that You close the doors gently and reveal Your better purpose for their lives. Give them patience to wait on You and faith to trust in Your timing. Surround them with Your peace as they seek Your face. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to seek the Lord diligently in this matter. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking God to confirm His will through His Word and the counsel of godly believers. James 1:5 reminds us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Consider fasting as well, as it can help sharpen your spiritual discernment. Trust that God cares deeply about the details of your life and will lead you faithfully if you seek Him with all your heart.

If this move is part of God’s plan, we pray it would be a blessing not only to you but also to your brother and those around you. May it be an opportunity to strengthen family bonds, grow in faith together, and be a light for Christ in your new community. If it is not His will, trust that He has something even better in store. Either way, we stand with you in prayer, believing that God’s plans for you are good, as Jeremiah 29:11 declares: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

We’re glad you reached out about this move, it’s a big decision, and wanting to be near your brother is understandable. As we pray with you, we also want to encourage you to lean into the process of seeking God’s will. Often, discernment comes not in a single sign but through a steady combination of open doors, a growing sense of peace, and the wisdom of trusted, biblically grounded friends who know your situation. If you haven’t already, you might take time as a family to talk through what you sense God doing, and even fast or set aside a day to listen together. Pay attention to the practical details, too, sometimes God uses finances, housing, or timing to guide us just as much as our inner desires.

We’ll be praying that God makes your path clear, and that whether you move or stay, you’ll sense His presence and provision. He cares about the people you love and the place you call home.

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to you now. You know their desire to be near a brother, and you see every detail of their lives. Please give them wisdom that goes beyond their own understanding, and make the way plain, whether that means moving forward with confidence or finding contentment where they are. Quiet their anxious thoughts, and surround them with trustworthy counsel and practical help. In your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

To say "if it is God's will" is to speak as a true child of God, for the true child bends before his Father's will. It is wise to hold every desire with that holy reservation, knowing that we cannot both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in all our plans we must feel, "I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God."

Yet remember, there is a revealed will we must never violate, and a providential will we should always consult. Look to the Ten Commandments and the plain directions of Scripture, and watch how God's hand opens or closes the door. When your way is God's way, you can always have your way, but the surer path often lies in the submissive, "Not as I will." There may be more grace in that groaning than in any triumphant shout.

Pray earnestly, then, and if the Lord wills you to be near your brother, He will make it plain. If He withholds, it is so much the better, for He will give you Himself instead. He will guide you with His counsel, and afterward receive you to glory.
