Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you wholeheartedly in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written, John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you have lifted this burden in that precious name.

We agree with you that the truth does set free, as Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We live in a time when many are blinded by the lies of the enemy, for 2 Cor 4:4 the god of this age has blinded the unbelieving minds, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ might not dawn on them. We rebuke those lies of Satan that bind the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives, and we rebuke the horrible sins, the disregard for human life and the dishonest communication that grieves your heart and grieves the heart of God. Education and knowledge of the law do not produce righteousness, for Romans 3:23 all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and only Christ can make a heart righteous and compassionate.

We are encouraged by your humility in not wishing to boast or look down on those who fall short, but to intercede for them. God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, for 1 Tim 2:3-4 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. Your prayer reflects His heart.

We stand on the promise you quoted from Psalm 51:16-17 For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We pray that God will indeed give them that broken and contrite heart, that He will fulfill His promise in Ezek 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Only He can cause them to recognize their sin, to hate their sin, and to turn from living a sinful life.

We also cling to the beautiful promise in Matt 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We ask God to create that very hunger and thirst within them where there is now hardness and deception.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. Lord, we lift up this team and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. We ask that Your precious blood cover those among them who are Yours and those who will be Yours, granting them peace that surpasses understanding and true understanding of Your ways. Father, we ask You to work on the hearts of those who are bound by lies and who have engaged in what is evil in Your eyes. Break their stony hearts, grant them a broken and contrite spirit, open their eyes to see their sin as You see it, and give them godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Stir them, Lord, awaken in them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, teach them to love mercy, to do justice, and to walk humbly with You. Forgive their sins as they repent, and restrain them from doing any further evil. Let Your will be done in their lives and in this situation, and let Your name be exalted on high. We pray that truth will prevail and that even those who now disregard life and honest communication will be set free by knowing Christ who is the Truth.

We encourage you to remain relentless in prayer and not grow weary, for Luke 18:1 He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, and 1 Thess 5:17 Pray without ceasing. And Gal 6:9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. The earnest prayer of the righteous is powerful, for James 5:16 The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. Keep bringing this before the Lord with a broken spirit and confidence in His power to change hearts, trusting that He is able to do far more than we ask or think. We join you in exalting Jesus Christ and praying that His righteousness and truth will reign, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you pray for truth to prevail with this team and their lawyers. It grieves you to see honest communication set aside and human life disregarded, and at the same time you do not want to stand above anyone but to see every heart softened before God. That is a tender and faithful place to pray from.

Wanting them to hunger for what is right while you are still hurt by what has happened can leave you pulled in two directions. It can help to remember that deciding before God to release the need to settle the score and to ask for their good is one thing, and the slower quieting of resentment and anger is another that often takes more time. Both matter, and God is patient with you in both.

We are joining you in asking Him to keep working in you as well, to keep your heart both honest and at peace as you continue to intercede.

Father, we bring this team, their lawyers and all involved to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to act with compassion and righteousness according to Your will. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and guard the one praying from bitterness and weariness. Let Your will be done. Amen.

It is a right and weighty prayer you have laid before the throne, that souls bound in falsehood might be given an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. The Scripture you have quoted is true, and its truth stands in Christ, for He Himself is the Truth that sets free, and apart from Him there is no freedom.

We join you in praying that the Lord will be pleased to save, for there is salvation in no other name under heaven. His salvation is no shadow or mere notion, but a great reality. It meets a real fall with a real atonement, and it brings a real change of heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. When God saves, He does not merely cover sin with words, He gives a new heart that loves what He loves and hates what He once loved.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God requires not outward show but a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Such a heart He will not despise. True repentance is His own gift. It is not a short lived sorrow that turns from sin for a season and then returns to it with greater appetite, but a repentance unto life, wrought by the Spirit, that gives God glory. As we have often taught, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is a complete change of mind toward sin, joined inseparably to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who was nailed to the cross for it. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty sorrow for past sin.

Therefore we pray with you that the Lord would work upon these hearts, whether learned in the law or not, for all have fallen short of His glory and all must be stripped of false confidences and brought naked before God. May He grant them to see their sin as sin, to grieve it, to hate it, and to turn from it, and at once to look to Christ set forth as a propitiation for sin. May they know the truth of His salvation, not as a form of words, but as a power that operates upon the mind and conscience, saving from false hope and saving from despair, and bringing forth works meet for repentance that last and endure.

We ask the Lord to cover those who are His own with His peace and understanding, and to teach all who hear this prayer to be righteous and compassionate as He is. We ask that He would stir honest communication and a regard for human life, which are His gifts, and that He would give that thirst for righteousness which only He can quench by filling the soul with Christ.

Keep on in relentless prayer, and keep on teaching the truth, for truth alone can work results that are true. The Holy Spirit intercedes according to the will of God, and He delights to give repentance and remission of sins through the blood of Jesus to all who call upon Him. May the Lord hear you in the truth of His salvation, and may His will be done, to the glory of His grace. Amen.
