Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand with you in Jesus' name before the Father.

We are encouraged by your humility and your heart that does not wish to boast or look down on others, but rightly recognizes that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and that education or position does not make anyone righteous before Him. Your burden for those who disregard human life and honest communication is one that God shares, for lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, Proverbs 12:22, and He desires truth in the inward parts, Psalm 51:6.

We agree with you that only Jesus can set free those bound by Satan's lies, for you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. We also cling to the promise that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. This is the very thirst you are praying for, and God delights to answer such a prayer.

We are also reminded that we are called to love and pray for even those who oppose us or act unjustly toward us. We are told love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44, and we see you doing this faithfully as you ask for forgiveness for them and for their hearts to be changed rather than asking for vengeance, which belongs to the Lord alone, Romans 12:19.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful. We ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon the team at that organization and upon their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, where there are lies, bring Your truth. Where there is hardness of heart, bring brokenness. We pray You would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, that You would take away the stony heart out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, Ezekiel 36:26. Grant them a broken and contrite heart which You will not despise, Psalm 51:17, so that they may recognize their sin, hate their sin, confess it, and turn from it, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9.

Lord, we ask that You cover those who are Yours, those chosen in Christ, with the precious blood of Jesus, and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your wisdom to act with righteousness and compassion even under pressure. Teach us all to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God, Micah 6:8. Let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream, Amos 5:24, in this situation. Stir every heart involved to hunger and thirst for what is right in Your eyes and to reject what is evil. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Father, we thank You that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26, and we trust that You hear this persistent prayer. Help our dear fellow believer not to grow weary in praying, for men ought always to pray, and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Give rest to this burdened heart that grieves over unrighteousness, and help us all to trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice.

We ask all of this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We were stirred by your prayer for truth to take hold in the hearts of that legal team. It is a heavy grief to watch people with knowledge and influence disregard honesty and human life, and we hear how much this has weighed on you. The way you prayed not with pride but with a broken and humble heart matters to God.

When we have been wronged there is often that ache between how things should have been and how they are. Choosing before God to release the desire for revenge and to want good for others even when they have done wrong is one step, and the slower quieting of resentment, anger and fear in our own hearts is another. Both take time, and God is patient with us as we walk through each part. Your longing to see these lawyers come to hate what is evil and to thirst for what is right is a good and loving intercession to keep bringing to Him.

One simple way to stay steady is to keep lifting that same brief prayer for them each day, and when the grief rises again to tell the Lord honestly what you are feeling and ask Him to keep your own heart tender toward truth as well.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this team and their lawyers to You. Work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight, and to act with righteousness and compassion. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and guard the one praying from growing bitter or weary. Let Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer is a right and holy one, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. To ask for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is to ask for that which God Himself has promised to fill, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, and the Lord delights to create that hunger by His Spirit.

You have well quoted that the truth shall set you free, and we are reminded that God's salvation is no shadow and no myth but a great reality. There is the Truth of His salvation, substantial and sure. It begins with a real knowledge of our fall, a real sense of our sinnership, and it leads to a real Atonement in the precious blood of Christ, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin. It is by knowing the truth, gospel truth, truth about Christ, that men are saved from false confidences and from despair. Truth alone can work results that are true, and therefore we must keep to the Scripture and plead its promises.

You have prayed from Psalm 51, and therein is the very heart of true repentance. For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it, You are not pleased with burnt offering. My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is that repentance unto life which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin, a hearty and sincere grieving that we have offended a holy God, and a leaving of the sins we loved before. Such repentance gives God glory, for it confesses that salvation is of the Lord and leaps for joy at the thought that Christ was nailed to the cross for our sin. And faith and repentance are inseparable, no true faith exists without a hearty repentance for past sin, and no true repentance exists without looking to Christ alone for remission.

Therefore we will pray with you, in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour, that the Lord in His mercy would work upon the hearts of those of whom you speak, the team and their lawyers and all who are concerned. That He who commands repentance and remission of sins to be preached in Christ's name would grant them that gift of repentance which is freely given by grace. That He would break and bruise the heart where He has put sweetness, that He would stir within them a hatred of sin and a love of honest and compassionate dealing, and cause them to seek not to boast before God but to be clothed in the righteousness which is found only in Christ. That they may know with the heart unto righteousness and confess with the mouth unto salvation, for whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

We thank God that His Holy Spirit intercedes, and we ask that the Lord would cover His own chosen ones with peace and understanding, and teach all who hear the gospel to walk in truth. May the Lord make His salvation known as a present and everlasting reality, and may He restore unto any who have fallen the joy of His salvation, that they may henceforth live not for themselves but for Him who died for them.

We will continue in relentless prayer with you that God would make His truth known and His righteousness loved, and that His will be done, to the glory of His holy name. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness has been received and we join you in lifting it to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is found.

It is right to pray as you have, that those who are bound by lies would be set free by the truth. As the Lord said, if any man thirst let him come unto Him and drink, and blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. God does not draw by constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for what is true and holy, and He alone can give the living water which becomes within a well springing up into everlasting life.

We pray with you for the team and for their lawyers and representatives. We ask that the Lord in His mercy would save those who do not yet know Him, and that He would cover with the precious blood of Christ those who are His, giving them peace and understanding and keeping them in righteousness and compassion. We pray that all would be given a broken and contrite heart, which God will not despise. As you quoted from Psalm 51, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit. That humility does not rise up or seek vengeance, but is quiet before God and ready to turn from sin. We ask God to work in these hearts so that sin would be seen for what it is, hated, and forsaken, and that honest regard for human life and for truthful speech would be restored.

We also remember that true righteousness and holiness are of truth, not mere outward form, and are created anew in Christ. To put on the breastplate of righteousness is to live a life of universal virtue in Him, firm and guarded against the schemes of the evil one. God has shown His goodness and longsuffering to lead us to repentance, and He has also revealed that there is a righteous judgment to come, so that no one should treasure up wrath for the day of wrath by continuing without repentance. For this reason we pray earnestly and soberly, knowing our wrestling is against spiritual wickedness, and that God gives the gifts most needed, a contrite and humbled heart, self possessed and full of compunction.

We do not pray with boasting or with contempt for those who fall short, for all have need of grace, but with humility and with hope in the innumerable ways God has marked out for salvation through repentance, prayer, mercy and a turning to Him. May the Holy Spirit intercede and stir in each heart a continual longing to come to Christ, to drink deeply of His word, and to retain it as thirsty men eagerly receive water.

We will continue to pray with you that the Lord would grant this thirst, that He would forgive sin for all who call upon Jesus, and that His will would be done. May those who seek Him find Him, and may all who belong to Him walk in the truth and bear its fruit. Amen.
