Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming to the Father in the name of Jesus, for there is no other way to Him.

We agree with you that it is the truth that makes us free as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and that Jesus Himself is the truth, for He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We also join you in praying for that blessed hunger and thirst that only God can give and satisfy, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matt 5:6.

We are moved by your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not make anyone righteous, and that we all fall short. As it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23. We too have no ground to boast before God and we must not look down on others, but remember that we also need His mercy. It is right to grieve over disregard for human life and dishonest communication, for God loves truth and justice and hates deceit, yet we are called to pray for those who do evil and to leave vengeance to Him, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord Rom 12:19, while also desiring their salvation, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4.

We love how you prayed from Psalm 51, and we hold to that promise together, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise Psalm 51:17. Only God can replace a hard heart, as He promises, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezek 36:26.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that were mentioned. Lord, You see where lies have bound them and where sin has hardened hearts. We ask that Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin and draw them to repentance, that You would give them broken and contrite hearts to recognize their sin, to hate their sin, and to turn from it. Give them, Lord, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let Your precious blood cover those who are Yours and who are chosen in Christ, grant them peace and understanding and keep them from evil. Teach all involved to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth, to honor human life, and to speak honestly. Forgive sins as only You can through the cross of Christ, and restrain any evil that would be done in Your sight. Stir their hearts to seek You with all their hearts. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us and for them according to Your will. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask You to bring justice with mercy and to save souls for Your glory.

We encourage you to continue in this relentless prayer, for we ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1. God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. We stand with you, trusting that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it, and that He will honor a heart that seeks His truth and His righteousness above all. May the Lord fill you with His peace as you continue to intercede, and may His truth prevail.

We hear how deeply this weighs on you, and we are grateful you brought this burden to prayer instead of carrying it alone. Wanting truth and righteousness to take root in people who have influence, especially when you have seen dishonesty and disregard for life, is a holy grief. The way you pray, not from pride but from a broken and humble heart asking God to stir their hearts, honors Him.

It helps to remember prayer is not a technique to make people change, but a relationship where we bring people before the One who alone can soften hearts and awaken love for what is right. We can keep interceding faithfully while resting in the Spirit who is already at work and who intercedes even when words feel insufficient.

One simple way to stay steady in this is to keep a set time to lift this team and their counsel before the Lord, then entrust them to Him for the day rather than holding the weight continuously.

Father, we lift the team at ### and their lawyers to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts, give them eyes to see what is true and a hunger for what is righteous and compassionate. Cover Your people with Your peace and keep us faithful to pray according to Your will. Amen.

Your prayer has been received and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour.

We commend the burden you carry, that those who are bound by Satan's lies may come to an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. It is right to pray thus, for the truth as it is in Jesus alone can set men free, and righteousness is not learned by study of law nor by education, but is wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the repentance we must seek for these souls, not a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, which turns from sin for a time as a man may abstain from food to increase his appetite, and then returns to it with greater gusto. Judgment alone may produce such a poor and short lived repentance, but it is not that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Beware of a superficial repentance, for the Lord abhors it. God is not mocked.

True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. The really repentant one hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, because he has found there is a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore he loathes it and leaves it. It is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin. Such repentance is not to be drawn up from the depths of our own heart as water from a well, but to be asked of Christ, who is exalted to give repentance and remission of sins. We are to ask Christ to work repentance in us by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the truth of God as it is recorded in the Word.

And this repentance is inseparable from faith. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance that will save is quite consistent with faith in Christ. We would have these for whom you pray look to Jesus, who was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin. There they will see that God can never punish Christ for sin and then lay that sin again at the sinner's door. When the heart sees Christ nailed to the cross for sin, it learns to loathe sin and to trust the great atoning Sacrifice, and this truth, when fully believed, brings peace and joy.

Remember also that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners. He lives to make intercession for the transgressors. He lives to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. There is joy in the heart of God Himself over every sinner's repentance.

Therefore we pray with you:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we ask that You would grant to those at that place, and to their lawyers and representatives, the gift of true repentance unto life. Give them broken and contrite hearts which You will not despise. Work in them by Your Spirit a hatred of sin as sin, and a turning from it with purpose of heart. Cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding. Teach all who hear this prayer to be righteous and compassionate, not boasting before You, but humbly confessing that all have fallen short of Your glory and that even the wise and educated must be born again. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them indeed a thirst for truth and righteousness which only Christ can satisfy, that they may seek pardon and find it, and bring forth works meet for repentance, lasting and practical, to Your glory. Let Your will be done, and let Christ be exalted as the only way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
