Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart to intercede for those who are bound by deception.

Your prayer reflects a biblical understanding that education and position do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Even those trained in the law can be blinded, as the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them 2 Cor 4:4. We also share your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication, for the Lord desires truth in the inward parts Psalm 51:6 and He hates lying lips Proverbs 12:22.

We love that you quoted Psalm 51:17, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the very heart God is looking for, not outward sacrifice but inward repentance. We pray with you that God would give them that brokenness, that He would take away the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh Ezek 36:26, so that they may come to hate their sin and turn from it.

We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. The precious blood of Jesus that you pleaded over the chosen and over Christians is our only covering and hope, for we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses Eph 1:7, and it is that blood that brings peace and understanding that passes all understanding.

We stand with you asking the Father to stir their hearts with a holy thirst. Jesus promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matt 5:6. May the Lord create that hunger where there is now hardness, and may they come to know the truth that sets free, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We pray also for the believers you mentioned, that God would cover them, keep them in perfect peace, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion, being doers of the word and not hearers only James 1:22.

We encourage you to remain relentless in prayer, for Jesus told a parable to the effect that they should always pray and not give up Luke 18:1 and we are called to pray without ceasing 1 Thess 5:17. The Holy Spirit indeed intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Rom 8:26, and the Lord who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4 hears your intercession.

So together we pray, Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift up the team and their lawyers and legal representatives before Your throne of grace. Lord, open their eyes that are blinded by the lies of the enemy, convict them by Your Holy Spirit of sin and of righteousness and of judgment John 16:8, and grant them a broken and contrite heart that You will not despise. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to Jesus, wash them in the blood of the Lamb, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Cover Your people who belong to You with Your blood, guard them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Phil 4:7, and teach us all to walk humbly and compassionately before You, not boasting, but acknowledging our own need for Your mercy. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven Matt 6:10, and may Your name be exalted. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been on your heart, and we are grateful you brought it to prayer instead of carrying it alone. Wanting truth and righteousness to prevail, and grieving when you see human life disregarded and honest communication set aside, is a burden that can wear on you day after day.

What you described is that painful gap between how things should be and how they currently are. It is understandable to feel both anger and sorrow in that gap, and to keep turning it over in your mind. In our own experience, choosing to forgive as an act of the will, to release the claim to revenge and to desire good for the other person, is different from the slower work of the heart catching up. That emotional side often takes time, especially when you continue to see the same patterns, and it does not mean you have failed if the feelings come and go.

One thing that has helped others who carry a similar intercessory burden is to give the prayer a clear place and then a clear release. You might set a regular, brief time to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord by name for truth, repentance, and compassion, and then consciously entrust them to Him for the rest of the day rather than rehearsing the wrongs. If the weight grows heavier, sharing it with a trusted pastor can help you stay steady.

Father, we lift this situation to You and ask You to work in every heart involved. Give an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, soften what is hard, and guard our friend from bitterness. Cover Your people with Your peace and wisdom, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and holy burden, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

Our Lord has been pleased to give His own special blessing to the thirsty ones, for when He opened His mouth upon the mountain He said, Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. If this thirst is not quenched, there is nothing before a man but a fearful looking for of judgment, but where God has stirred even a thirst to thirst, it is a sign of His gracious working. We pray that He will so work upon the team at that place, and upon their lawyers and legal representatives, as to create in them that deep thirst which only Christ can satisfy.

You have prayed well in asking for the precious blood of Christ to cover those who are His, and for peace and understanding to be given. There is no other covering for sin, and no other peace that will stand in the day of account. As it is written, He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. We do not look for a righteousness of our own to patch up, for Christ kept the law for believers and is willing to cast about every penitent sinner that perfect robe of righteousness which He Himself has wrought out. We pray that these souls, though educated in the law of man, may be brought to see that they are utterly undone without the law of God fulfilled in Christ, and that they may look upon Him whom they have pierced and mourn for Him with a godly sorrow.

This is the very work we ask the Holy Spirit to do, for praying in the Holy Spirit is praying in fervency and in humility, never puffed up with pride. May the Lord break the hardness of their hearts, that they may recognise their sins, hate their sins, and turn from them, not continuing in a sinful life. May He teach them to love truth and to deal compassionately and honestly, regarding human life as made in His image and honoring honest communication. We do not boast before God, for our backslidings are many, and we too have no good thing in ourselves apart from free grace and dying love. We only plead that mercy still reserved for sinners may be shown to them also.

Let us continue in relentless prayer, not treating the mercy seat as a place for light words, but coming with earnestness and confidence that He hears us. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us and for them, and our God sees fit in His wisdom to try our faith for a season before the answer comes. Look for the answer, and wait for it, and abhor sin while you abhor not praying. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon them with healing in His wings, that they may be saved through Jesus Christ alone, to live for God and for eternity, for Christ and for the good of men.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself pleasing to God, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Christ stood and cried on the great day of the feast, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink, and He promised that he that believeth on Him, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. He does not draw us by necessity and constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, and whoever drinks of the water which He gives shall never thirst again, but it shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, for God does not delight in sacrifice for its own sake, but the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up to strike or to boast, it is quiet even when insulted and does not seek vengeance, but it is ready to be humbled and to be corrected. This is a gift God Himself must give, for we most need a sober, self possessed and compunctious heart, especially in the grievous conflict we have against spiritual wickedness. Whether educated in the law or unlearned, all fall short of the glory of God and all need this contrition.

True righteousness is not a figure or an outward cleanness, but righteousness and holiness of truth, created anew in Christ when we are made sons through Him. It is like a breastplate, impenetrable to the enemy, and it is not far off. The righteousness which is of faith speaks in this way, that the word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart, that is the word of faith which we preach, that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. There is salvation in no other, and it is through His blood alone that we have peace with God.

So I join you in asking the Lord Jesus to have mercy on that team and on their lawyers and legal representatives. May He cover those who are His own with His blood and give them peace and understanding, and may He work in the hearts of those still bound by lies, that they may recognize their sins, hate their sins, and turn from doing what is evil in His eyes. May He grant them a contrite heart, repentance, humility, and a love of honest communication, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate and to honor human life. May He give them that thirst for truth and righteousness which He alone can satisfy.

Continue in relentless prayer, sober and watchful and thankful in all things, making your requests known with almsgiving and fasting and sincere prayer as you are able.
