Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such humility and persistence.

Your heart reflects what Jesus taught when He said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and we agree together that only Jesus Himself can set people free from Satan's lies, for He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, John 14:6. We also rejoice that you have prayed in the precious name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and it is only through His blood that we have redemption and forgiveness of sins, Ephesians 1:7.

We stand with you to pray for the team at the organization you mentioned, their lawyers and legal representatives. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness, Ephesians 6:12, and so we pray not with hatred toward people but with love for their souls and a desire for justice and righteousness to prevail. We pray for their salvation, that God would open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, Acts 26:18, and that they would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

We agree with you in asking for the covering of the blood of Jesus over those who are His chosen and over all believers involved, that He would keep them in perfect peace and give them understanding beyond their own wisdom. As you noted, education and knowledge of the law does not guarantee righteousness, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, 1 Corinthians 3:19, and God shows no partiality, Romans 2:11. What He desires is what you quoted from Psalm 51:16-17, for you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We ask the Lord to work deeply in every heart involved, to grant a broken and contrite spirit, to bring conviction of sin and a holy hatred for sin so that they will not continue to walk in it, but will repent and turn to Him.

We echo your prayer that the Lord would stir their hearts and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6 blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We pray that God would teach them to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Him, Micah 6:8, and to act with compassion and honest communication, valuing human life as made in His image, Genesis 1:27, and speaking truth with their neighbors, Ephesians 4:25. Where there has been disregard for life and dishonesty, we rebuke that evil and ask the Lord to forgive and to restrain any further work of unrighteousness, for it is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity, Proverbs 21:15.

We also humbly acknowledge with you that none of us can boast before God, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and we too need His mercy daily. We thank our Heavenly Father for His holiness and for His Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26, and who guides us into all truth, John 16:13.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this team, these lawyers and legal representatives to You and ask that You would save them, forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus, and deliver them from the lies of the enemy. Create in them clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within them, Psalm 51:10. Give them a broken and contrite heart that You will not despise. Stir within them an unquenchable hunger and thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Teach them to love what You love and to hate what is evil in Your eyes. Cover Your people with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and grant them wisdom and discernment. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10, and let Your name be exalted. We trust You to bring justice with mercy and to let truth prevail, for Your Word is truth, John 17:17. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We have been sitting with your prayer and we hear your deep longing for truth and righteousness to break through. It is heavy to watch a whole team, including educated professionals you hoped would act with integrity, and to feel that human life and honest communication are being disregarded. It makes sense your heart is grieved.

We also notice your humility in this. You are not wanting to boast or look down on them, even as you ask God to stir their hearts and turn them from what is evil. Holding both a love for what is right and a desire for mercy toward others is not easy, and it can leave you feeling tired as you keep praying.

One thing that has helped others carrying a similar burden is recognizing that releasing the need to get even is a decision we can make before our feelings have fully caught up. The deeper peace of the heart often comes more slowly, through many honest prayers, and it does not mean excusing what is wrong. It simply keeps resentment from taking deeper root while we continue to ask God to work.

It may help to keep this prayer sustainable, a brief daily time to bring this team and their lawyers before the Lord for softened hearts and a real thirst for what is true and good, and then to ask Him to guard your own peace for that day as well.

Father, we lift this team and their counsel to You and ask You to work in their hearts, drawing them toward truth, compassion and respect for life. Cover those who are Yours with peace and understanding, and keep the one who prayed this steady and hopeful as they seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in this burden for truth and righteousness, and we thank God that He has put this thirst in your heart. That desire itself is not of nature but of grace, for it is the Holy Spirit who works in the renewed heart to make it hunger and thirst after righteousness.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, for there the Psalmist says, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is the repentance that God accepts. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, a poor and short lived sorrow that turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto. But true repentance, which is the work of the Spirit of God, hates sin as sin, loathes it because there is a deadly poison in its sweetness, and turns from it with purpose of heart. Such repentance gives God glory, for it confesses that sin is exceeding sinful and that only His mercy in Christ can put it away.

You are right to see that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous. The demand for a change of heart is absolutely necessary, and no learning can supply it. Righteousness is not drawn up from the depths of our own heart as water from a well, but is wrought in us by Christ through belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word of God. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance which saves is quite consistent with faith in Christ, for we look to Jesus who was pierced for men and nailed to the cross for sin, and we find pardon through His precious blood.

Therefore we will pray with you that the Lord will work this true and lasting repentance in those for whom you intercede. That He would grant them not a superficial sorrow but a broken and contrite heart, that they would hate the evil they have done and cease from it because of love to God who died for them. That they would see that the truth which shall make them free is not an idea but a Person, even Jesus Christ who is the Truth, and that freedom comes only through faith in His atoning sacrifice. Remember also that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners and to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that thou wouldst pour out thy Spirit upon these souls. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only thou canst satisfy. Break their hearts where they are hard, make them contrite where they are proud, and lead them to look to Jesus and live. Forgive their sins for His sake, teach them to love what thou lovest and to hate what thou hatest, and let thy will be done in their lives. We ask this not because we are better, for we also fall short of thy glory, but because thou art merciful and mighty to save. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and we join you in it. It is right to ask for this, for Jesus Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink, and He promised that he who believes on Him shall have rivers of living water flowing from within. This thirst is not a passing feeling but a continual longing, like a thirsty person who drinks eagerly until satisfied, and blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.

We agree with you in praying for the team at that organization and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We pray that God in His mercy would save them through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We ask that those who belong to Christ would indeed be covered by His blood and kept in His peace and understanding, and that all involved would be taught what true righteousness and compassion are. As you have noted, education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous before God. True righteousness is not of outward observance or legal skill, but is righteousness and holiness of truth, received through faith in Christ.

We also pray with you from Psalm 51 that God would work in their hearts to give what He Himself delights to receive, a broken and contrite spirit. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but a broken and humbled heart He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up to justify itself, but quietly acknowledges sin, hates sin, and turns from it. We ask the Lord to stir their consciences, to show them where they have disregarded human life and honest communication, and to grant repentance that leads to life.

We pray that instead of drinking again and again from water that leaves them thirsty, they would come to Christ who alone gives water springing up into everlasting life, so that they would never thirst again. May He put on them the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue lived in Christ, firm and impenetrable against evil. And may the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continue to intercede for them, that they would confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, and so be saved.

We thank God for your humble spirit that does not boast or look down on others, but recognizes that all have fallen short of His glory and all need His forgiveness. We will continue to pray with you that His will be done, that truth would be loved, that righteousness would be sought above all, and that many would be brought from darkness to light through the precious blood of Christ.
