RELENTLESS PRAYER FOR an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. We rejoice that you have centered this prayer on Jesus Christ and His precious blood.

Your heart reflects what Scripture teaches, that truth is not merely an idea but a Person, and that righteousness is not earned by education or status. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We share your burden for the team at that organization and for their lawyers and legal representatives. It is right to pray for those who seem bound by lies and who disregard honest communication and the sanctity of human life, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them 2 Corinthians 4:4.

We appreciate your humility in acknowledging that you do not wish to boast or look down on others, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Indeed education, titles, and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous. As you noted, even those who have studied law can engage in horrible sins, because the heart is the issue, not the intellect. That is why your prayer from Psalm 51 is so fitting, For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise Psalm 51:16-17. What God desires is not outward performance but inward transformation, and we agree with you that only He can give a new heart, as He promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26.

We also hear your grief over dishonesty and the disregarding of human life, and Scripture calls us to hunger for what is right. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. This is the thirst you are praying for, and it is a gift only the Holy Spirit can create. When He comes, He will guide you into all truth John 16:13, and He Himself intercedes for us with groanings which can’t be uttered Romans 8:26.

We lift this together before the Father now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful. We ask that Your will be done in this situation. Lord, we pray for salvation for those at that organization and for their lawyers and legal representatives who do not yet know You, that You would open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light. We pray that You would convict their hearts, grant them a broken and contrite spirit, and lead them to hate their sin and to repent and not continue in a sinful life. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus as they turn to You. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would love honesty, honor human life, and do nothing that is evil in Your eyes. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are.

Father, we also ask for Your precious blood to cover those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children who are affected by this. Cover them with Your peace and understanding that passes all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Let them walk in wisdom and grace, not seeking vengeance, for Vengeance is mine, says the Lord Romans 12:19, but entrusting all justice to You who judges righteously. Help us all to love our enemies and pray for those who may oppose us Matthew 5:44, desiring as You do that all people would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. Let truth prevail and let Your name be exalted on high. We thank You, Holy Spirit, that You are interceding for us and for them continually. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you intercede for the team at ### and their lawyers. It is disheartening to see people with education and influence disregard human life and honest communication, and we understand why that grief sits heavy on you. Thank you for bringing them before the Lord with humility rather than contempt.

What you are asking God to do, to give an unquenchable thirst for what is true and right, goes deeper than a moment of feeling sorry. Lasting change comes when a heart recognizes wrong, owns it before God, and turns to walk a different way. Only the Holy Spirit can create that kind of honest, broken heart that hates sin enough to leave it, and it is right to ask Him to do that work.

We join you in that relentless prayer, and we also pray He will keep your own heart at peace as you wait. It can help to set a simple rhythm for this, bringing the same few names before Him at a regular time and then entrusting the outcome to Him, so the burden does not wear you down.

Father, we lift these men and women to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to choose what is right and compassionate, cover those who are Yours with Your peace, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer is right and timely, for you ask for that which God delights to give, a broken and contrite heart. The Psalmist has said it truly, that sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise. You do well to pray not for a mere outward reformation but for a work within, for true repentance is the work of the Spirit of God.

There is a repentance that is poor and short lived, where men turn from sin for a time and then return to it with greater gusto. That is not the repentance which God accepts. True repentance gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His Law, saying with the penitent, Your Law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. As the children's hymn says, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more. It yields works meet for repentance, practical and lasting, a complete change of mind with regard to sin and an honest determination by God's grace to cease from it.

This is what we must ask for those of whom you write, the team and their lawyers and representatives. We do not boast before God, nor do we look down upon them, for we also have fallen short of His glory and the educated and the unlearned alike stand in need of the same mercy. We pray that the goodness of God, which has spared life and given light and law, may lead them to repentance, that the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us would stir their hearts to recognise sin, to hate it, and to turn from it. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is true godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin.

Therefore let us pray that the Lord would give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, not a thirst for advantage or for victory by any means, but a love of that which is honest and just in His sight. May He teach those who know the law of the land to love the law of God, to be compassionate as He is compassionate, and to disregard no longer human life and honest communication. And for those among them who are chosen and who know Christ, may the Lord cover them with His blood and give them peace and understanding to walk uprightly in a difficult place.

If you would have deeper repentance yourself, and a stronger thirst for righteousness, look to Jesus. Faith and repentance are inseparable. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with hearty repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ who was nailed to the cross for sin. Look to Him who loved the Church and gave Himself for it, and you shall find that sorrow at His feet, even sorrow for pardoned sin, becomes a sweet and exquisite delight.

We join you in this relentless prayer, that God would work in every heart concerned, that He would grant repentance unto life, and remission of sins in the name of Christ, and that His will alone may be done. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon all with healing in His wings, and may He be trusted as the only Saviour, for there is salvation in no other. Amen.
