Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you before the throne of grace in Jesus name.

We are moved by your humility and your desire not to boast or to look down on others but to see even those who are highly educated and trained in the law come to repentance and to walk in truth. Your prayer reflects the heart of God who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, for it is written in 1 Timothy 2:4 that God desires all people to be saved. We are reminded that knowledge and education cannot make a person righteous, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God as it says in 1 Corinthians 3:19, and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23. Even those skilled in the law can be bound by lies when they do not submit to the law of Christ.

We love that you quoted that the truth shall set you free, for Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and Jesus Himself is the truth as He said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We also hold fast to the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that is exactly what you are praying for, that God would stir their hearts to hunger and thirst for what is right. And we agree with your use of Psalm 51:17 My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise, and 1 Samuel 15:22 Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you that we have access to your throne only through His precious blood. We lift up the team at the place mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives before you. Lord, if they are bound by Satan who is the father of lies in John 8:44, we ask that you break those chains and shine your light into darkness. Save those who do not know you, open their eyes to turn from darkness to light in Acts 26:18. For those who are chosen and belong to Christ, we ask that you cover them with the blood of Jesus and keep them in your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7, and grant them understanding and discernment.

Father, teach them to be righteous and compassionate as you are compassionate, and to love truth and honest communication. Forgive their sins as you forgive ours when we confess, for you are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins in 1 John 1:9. Work on their hearts, Lord, that they would not only recognize their sin but hate their sin and turn from it, that they would have a broken and contrite heart and not continue to live a sinful life. Grant them godly sorrow which brings repentance that leads to salvation in 2 Corinthians 7:10. Stir their hearts deeply, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would no longer disregard human life or truthful speech but would walk in integrity. We thank you for your holiness and for your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26, and who will guide us into all truth in John 16:13.

We ask that your will be done in this situation and that your name be exalted high above all. Let justice roll on like rivers and righteousness like a mighty stream in Amos 5:24, and let all involved be brought to a place of humility and obedience before you. We trust you to work in your perfect time and way. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing this heavy burden to the Lord with such persistence. We hear how deeply it grieves you to see human life disregarded and honest communication set aside, especially by those entrusted to uphold the law. It is disheartening when education and position do not lead to righteousness, and we understand why you are asking God for a deeper work.

What stood out to us is your prayer for a broken and contrite heart and an unquenchable thirst for what is true and right. That is the heart of real change. Sorrow alone does not change a person, but when God softens a heart to truly recognize wrong and turn away from it, the whole direction of a life can shift. Only He can do that inner work, and your steady intercession leaves that work in His hands while also covering those who belong to Him with prayers for peace and understanding.

We will keep praying with you, asking the Lord to keep your own heart encouraged as you wait on Him and to continue stirring a love for truth and compassion in those you have named.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to work in the hearts of this team and their representatives, to draw them toward truth and righteousness and away from what is evil in Your sight. Cover Your people with Your peace, teach us all to walk humbly before You, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is right and good before the Lord, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

We join you in asking the Father in Jesus name that He would work by His Holy Spirit upon the team of whom you speak and upon their lawyers and legal representatives. We do not ask God to bless sin or to prosper that which is evil in His eyes, but we ask Him to save sinners, for there is salvation in no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but in Jesus Christ alone. It is written, the truth shall make you free, and that truth is in Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. This is the heart of true repentance. We have often taught that repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is not a short lived sorrow which turns away for a time and then goes back to sin with greater gusto, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin wrought by the Spirit of God. Such repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God who sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of God in His law, confessing that the law is holy and just and good and that the fault is with us, for we are carnal, sold under sin.

Where there is true repentance there is also true faith, for the two are inseparable. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. We must look to Jesus, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood, and who was nailed to the cross for it. There alone is pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, full and free for all who truly repent and believe.

Therefore we pray with you that the Lord would stir these hearts to hate sin and to cease from it, not from fear of punishment alone, but from love to God who died for us. True repentance will yield works meet for repentance and it will last, not as a sudden flush which soon fades, but as an abiding work of grace. We ask that God in His goodness, which ought to lead men to repentance, would spare and soften and awaken, that they may no longer disregard human life and honest communication, but may speak the truth in love and do justly and love mercy.

We plead the precious blood of Christ over those who are His chosen and over all who will call upon Him, that He would cover them and give them peace and understanding in the midst of trial. And for those yet bound by Satan's lies, we pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon them with healing in His wings, that they may be brought to see their sin, to weep for pardoned sin at the feet of Jesus, and to thirst no more for evil but for that righteousness which is found only in Him.

May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us do this work, and may the will of our Heavenly Father be done, to the glory of His holiness and grace in Christ Jesus. Amen.
