Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in relentless prayer before our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for your burden to intercede even for those who oppose what is right.

Your prayer reflects the heart of God who desires that all would come to the knowledge of the truth. As you quoted, Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. And He also declared in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We agree that only Jesus can break the chains of Satan's lies and bring true freedom, and we praise God that you have come boldly in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We are blessed by your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not guarantee righteousness, and that we all fall short of the glory of God. We join you in praying not with a spirit of boasting or looking down on others, but with a broken and contrite heart as you prayed from Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. How precious is that promise that God will not despise a heart that truly repents.

We also stand on the beautiful promise of our Lord in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We pray that God will indeed create that holy hunger in the hearts of the team at the organization you mentioned, and in their lawyers and legal representatives. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict them of sin and stir them to hate what is evil and love what is good, that they would no longer disregard human life and honest communication, but would learn to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God as taught in Micah 6:8.

Together we pray, Father in heaven, we lift up this team and every lawyer and legal representative connected to them. Lord, You see where lies have bound them and where horrible sins have been engaged in even by those who know the law. We ask that You would shine Your light into darkness and expose every lie. Give them eyes to see the truth and hearts that can no longer be at peace with sin. Grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that they would turn from evil in Your eyes and walk in Your ways. We ask for Your precious blood of Jesus to cover those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children, and to grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding and wisdom to act with compassion and integrity. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are. Let Your Holy Spirit intercede for us all, for in Romans 8:26 we are reminded that the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. We ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, that justice would roll on like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. We exalt Your holy name, Lord Jesus, and trust You to work in every heart according to Your perfect timing and mercy. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfastly in this relentless prayer, not growing weary in doing good. God hears the cries of His people who hunger for His righteousness and He is faithful to answer. Keep thirsting for His truth in His Word daily, for it is there we learn His character and His justice, and keep interceding with love even for those who do wrong, knowing that our God desires mercy and that He is able to transform even the hardest heart.

We hear how deeply you are grieving the dishonesty and disregard for life you have seen, and how sincerely you want truth and righteousness to take hold, not just to be talked about. That hunger for what is right, and your willingness to pray for those who have done wrong rather than simply resenting them, is a work of grace in you.

It is painful when people with education and influence do not use it with integrity. It can leave an ache that turns easily into bitterness if we carry it alone. One of the helps we have found is learning to separate our settled decision to release people to God from the slower healing of our emotions. We can choose before God not to seek revenge and to want their good, even while our feelings of hurt and anger take longer to quiet. Naming that difference can keep us honest, we do not excuse what is wrong, and we do not pretend we are not hurt, but we hand the outcome to the Lord who alone can soften hearts.

A simple next step that may help you keep praying without growing weary is to keep a short list of the names or roles you are lifting up and bring them to God at a set time each day, and in that same moment tell Him plainly how their actions have grieved you, so your own heart stays tender before Him.

Father, we lift to You the team and lawyers this dear one has named, and we ask You to work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, teach us all to walk in compassion, and guard this one who prays from discouragement. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a sign of grace at work, for such a thirst is not natural to the heart of man but is given from above. We join you in lifting before the throne of grace the team of whom you speak, with their lawyers and representatives, that the Lord in His mercy would do for them what only He can do.

You have prayed well in quoting that word, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is the true sacrifice which God accepts, not outward forms or learned arguments, but a heart humbled on account of sin. As you have seen, education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous, for sin dwells not only in the ignorant but in the learned, and all have fallen short of the glory of God. If righteousness could come by learning or by statutes, Christ had died in vain.

We pray with you that God would grant them not a carnal repentance which springs alone from terror and withers in a night, a repentance that is superficial and only skin deep, but that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Judgments and terrors of themselves can never work evangelical repentance in a single heart. Law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone, it is a sense of blood bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. May the Lord show them the hatefulness of sin as it is seen in the wounds of Christ, that they may loathe it intensely because it is so hateful to the heart of Jesus, and may that repentance give glory to God and set the soul ever afterwards craving after holiness.

Remember that repentance is the gift of God in the name of Jesus Christ. We are not to draw it up from the depths of our own nature as water from a well, but to ask Christ to work it in us by His Holy Spirit through belief of the truth. He lives to give repentance and remission of sins, and where there is real repentance it is the sure and infallible token of pardon through His precious blood. True repentance and faith are inseparable, the one purges the soul from dead works while the other fills it with living works, the one pulls down what is false and the other builds up Christ as the sole master of the heart.

Therefore we beseech the Lord for these souls, that He would enlighten their understanding and influence their affections, that He would take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, that He would lead them to see their need of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We ask not that God would bless any evil way, but that He would turn them from it, that they would hate their sin enough to forsake it, and hunger and thirst after righteousness. For Christ is the Sun of Righteousness, and to spread righteousness and in so doing to save sinners and to glorify God is His one purpose from which He will never cease.

May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to the will of God also strive with them, making their repentance practical, yielding works meet for repentance, and lasting, not for a moment but lifelong and growing continually, as becomes those who have received repentance unto life. And for those who are already chosen in Christ, may the same blood cover them and keep them in peace and understanding, teaching them to be compassionate as their Father is compassionate, serious and solemn and in earnest before God, worshipping Him with a broken heart which thereby becomes a whole heart.

We will continue to pray that the Lord who is near unto them that are of a broken heart will accomplish His good will, and that His goodness which is meant to lead men to repentance will prevail over hardness and deceit, to the praise of His mercy which endures forever. Let your will be done, O Father, in truth and righteousness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
