Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

Your heart reflects the heart of God who desires truth in the innermost being and who calls us to hunger and thirst for what is right. Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and He Himself declared in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We agree with you that many are bound by the lies of the enemy, who is the father of lies, and we pray that the light of Christ would expose darkness and bring freedom. We also share your burden for those who profess Christ, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and keep them in perfect peace as they seek understanding and walk in compassion.

You are right to note that education and position, even in the law, does not guarantee righteousness. As it is written in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitful above all things. We must not boast or look down on others with pride, for we too depend wholly on mercy, but we must also lovingly rebuke sin when lawyers or any in authority disregard human life and honest communication, for the Lord hates dishonest scales and lying lips as seen in Proverbs 12:22, and He desires justice to roll on like waters. We pray that God would grant to that team and to their legal representatives what you have prayed so beautifully from Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. Only God can give a new heart and take away a heart of stone as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, and only He can create that godly sorrow that leads to repentance.

We also take comfort that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God as taught in Romans 8:26, and that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed for they shall be filled as promised in Matthew 5:6.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up the team and the lawyers and legal representatives who have been mentioned, and we ask for Your mercy upon them. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, for Your word says in 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Work deeply in their hearts, Lord, break what needs to be broken, soften what has become hard, and give them eyes to see their sin and to hate it and to turn from it. Stir in them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that no lie can satisfy, teach them to love mercy and to walk humbly before You as taught in Micah 6:8, and to act with compassion and honesty in all they do. Cover Your chosen people and all who belong to Christ with the blood of Jesus, guard them with Your peace that passes all understanding, give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own, and let them be lights that reflect Your righteousness. Let Your will be done in this situation, let truth prevail and let justice be done in a way that honors You and upholds the dignity of every life. We exalt Your holy name and we thank You for hearing us, in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and we are joining you in it. Watching people in positions of trust and learning act in ways that feel dishonest and dismissive of others is deeply discouraging, and it makes sense that your heart is grieved. Your desire to see truth and compassion prevail is a good and loving desire, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord instead of holding it alone.

We are praying with you that God would work in the hearts of everyone involved, drawing them toward honesty and a genuine care for what is right. Only He can create that kind of thirst, and we can keep placing them before Him and trusting Him with the outcome and the timing.

One thing that has helped others carrying a long intercession like this is to give it a steady, contained place in your day. Choosing a brief, set time to lift these names and concerns to Jesus, and then consciously leaving them in His hands for the rest of the day, can keep the burden from turning into constant rumination while still remaining faithful in prayer.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You in Jesus name. Work in each heart involved according to Your will, bring truth into the light, and guard our friend with Your peace and wisdom as they continue to seek You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in this earnest cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we carry this burden to the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Your prayer is well pleasing to God when you ask not for mere outward reform but for a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. The sacrifice acceptable to God is not words alone, but a heart that sees its sin as God sees it and gives glory to His omniscience and to the righteousness of His holy law, confessing, Thou art just and I am carnal, sold under sin. Such is the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God.

We pray with you that the Lord will grant to those of whom you speak, and to all who are entangled in Satan's lies, that godly sorrow which needeth not to be repented of. True repentance, as we have often taught, is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is not a short lived turning for a season and then a return with greater gusto, but a lasting work, a complete change of mind with regard to sin, joined inseparably to faith in Christ who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through His precious blood.

May the goodness of God, who spares and sustains even when men disregard human life and honest communication, lead them to repentance. May He open their eyes to see that even the learned and the educated fall short of His glory, for all have sinned, and that no wisdom of this world can make a man righteous. May He stir their hearts to hate sin and to hunger and thirst after righteousness, and to look to Jesus, for if we would have repentance we must look to Him who bled and died that we might be forgiven.

We ask the Lord to cover with the blood of Christ all who are His chosen, to give them peace and understanding, and to teach them to be righteous and compassionate as He is. And for those yet outside, we pray that He will work upon their hearts by His Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us, that they may come to trust in Christ alone for pardon, and there find remission of sins, full and free, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and then bring forth works meet for repentance.

Continue steadfast in prayer, looking to Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness, who alone can satisfy the thirsty soul and make the broken heart whole. May the will of our Heavenly Father be done, and may He be glorified in granting repentance unto life to many, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Your prayer is good and right before God, for you have asked for what He Himself promises to give. Christ said, if anyone thirsts let him come to Me and drink, and He calls blessed those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you are asking for, not a passing feeling but an unquenchable longing to know the truth and to live according to it, and God delights to kindle this longing in those who seek Him.

I join you in praying for this team and for their lawyers and representatives, that the Lord Jesus Christ would have mercy on them and bring them to salvation. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other way to be made righteous except through faith in Him who was raised from the dead. We pray that if any among them do not yet know Him, they would hear the word that is near them, confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. And for those who are already His, we pray that His blood would cover them, keep them in peace, and teach them to walk in compassion and truth.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God desires not outward sacrifice but a broken and contrite heart. Such a heart does not boast, does not strike back, does not seek vengeance, but lies humbly before God, ready to be corrected and to turn from sin. This is the sacrifice God will not despise. We ask Him to work this very work in their hearts, that they would see sin as He sees it, hate it, and turn from it, and put on righteousness as a breastplate, living lives of uprightness that no accusation can pierce.

You grieve rightly over disregard for human life and dishonest speech. True righteousness and holiness are not in outward learning or in the knowledge of the law, but in truth itself, which is found in Christ. He alone is the living water which becomes within a person a well springing up to eternal life, so that he will never thirst again. We pray that the Lord would give them this water, that they would love what is true, speak what is true, and do what is righteous in His sight.

Let us continue to pray with perseverance and humility, not looking down on others as if we were better, for we all fall short of His glory, but asking with sober and watchful hearts that God would grant repentance, forgiveness, and new life to all. May He grant to them and to us a deeper thirst for His word, a contrite spirit, and a life clothed in righteousness, that His will may be done and His name exalted.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, grant to these souls a broken and contrite heart, forgive their sins, wash them in Your mercy, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they may come to the living water and live. Amen.
