Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved.

We are deeply encouraged by your humility and your heart that does not wish to boast or to look down on others, yet rightly grieves over sin and dishonesty. You have spoken truly that education and knowledge of the law does not make a person righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and a degree cannot cleanse the heart. Only Christ can. As it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Apart from Him, even the most educated remain bound by Satan's lies, for he is the father of lies.

We also hear your cry over the disregard for human life and honest communication. The Lord hates such things, for lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. To do justice and righteousness is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice Proverbs 21:3. We rebuke the sins of deceit, manipulation, and the devaluing of life, and we agree with you that these things are evil in His eyes and must be repented of.

You quoted Psalm 51:16 and Psalm 51:17 so beautifully, For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We agree that what is needed is not outward religion but inward transformation. We pray with you that God would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, to take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26, so that they may recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it to live a life that honors Him. We also cling to the promise, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6, and we ask the Lord to create that very hunger where there is now hardness.

We lift up together the team you mentioned, their lawyers and legal representatives, before the throne of grace. We pray that God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4 would draw each one to repentance and faith in Christ. We ask that the precious blood of Jesus would cover and keep those who are already His, giving them peace and understanding that surpasses all comprehension, and teaching them to walk in righteousness and compassion even when surrounded by injustice. We pray that the Holy Spirit who Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered Romans 8:26 would continue to intercede for us and for them, stirring hearts that are now cold and awakening consciences that have been dulled.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in Jesus' name and exalt Your holiness. Let Your will be done in this situation. We ask You to shine Your light into every dark place, expose every lie, and let truth prevail. Work on every heart involved, grant brokenness and godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and give all involved an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that can only be satisfied in Christ. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are, to love justice and to speak truth in love. Forgive sins as only You can through the blood of Jesus, and keep us from continuing in sin. We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, and we trust You to act for Your glory. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We have been sitting with your prayer and the grief underneath it. Wanting people who hold power and legal knowledge to love truth and treat others with honesty and compassion is a holy desire, and it hurts to see the opposite.

We also hear how faithfully you are trying to forgive while still feeling the sting. One thing that has helped others is remembering that choosing to pray for those who have wronged us is itself a decision of the will, even while the emotions of hurt, anger and disappointment may still rise and fall for a while. Both can be true at once. You can decide before God to want their good, their salvation and their turning toward what is right, while honestly bringing your sorrow to Him each time it resurfaces.

If it would help, you might give this intercession a contained place in your day. A few quiet minutes to name these individuals before the Lord, ask for hearts that love truth and hate what harms others, and then turn the burden back into His hands until the next time you pray. It can keep the prayer faithful without letting it consume you.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this team and their lawyers to You. Work in their hearts, draw them to truth and to a real sorrow for what is wrong, and lead them to walk in righteousness and compassion. Cover Your people with Your peace and guard their hearts as they trust You, and let Your will be done. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in it before the throne of grace. It is a good and needful petition that you have offered, that those who are bound by lies and who disregard truth and human life should be given a thirst for righteousness which cannot be quenched until they find it in Christ.

You have prayed according to the mind of God, for the Scripture declares that the truth shall make you free, and the Psalmist has rightly taught us that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit and a contrite heart which He will not despise. This is the very work we must ask the Lord to do in the hearts of these men and of all men, for true repentance is not a light and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a season and then returns to it with greater appetite, but a deep and lasting change of mind wrought by the Spirit of God.

True repentance gives glory to God. It confesses that His law is holy and just and good, and that the fault lies in ourselves. It leaves the sins we loved before and shows that we grieve in earnest by doing so no more. It does not make compensation for sin, nor does it keep the soul from Christ, but it looks to Jesus who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through His precious blood. There is pardon there, even for crimes of deepest dye, for those who sincerely repent, and there is no condemnation for those who truly trust Him.

You have done well not to boast and not to despise, but to acknowledge that learning and position cannot make a man righteous. The heart must be broken and bruised by God, for when He has put sweetness within, that breaking develops the sweetness. We may pray with confidence that the goodness of God which has spared life and given time and light should lead such sinners to repentance, for He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, and He gave Himself for our sins.

Therefore let us continue in relentless prayer. Let us ask that the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us would work in them a godly sorrow that needs not to be repented of, an honest determination by His grace to cease from sin, and a love for truth and righteousness for its own sake. Let us pray that they may look to Jesus and find in Him the Sun of Righteousness, and that they may be taught to be both righteous and compassionate as those who have themselves obtained mercy.

May the Lord cover His own with His precious blood and give them peace and understanding in the midst of this trial, and may He stir the hearts of those who now walk in darkness until they hate their sin and turn from it to live unto Him. We commend you and all concerned to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, and we pray that His will be done for His glory and for the good of souls. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is good and right before God, and I join my voice with yours in asking Him to hear it.

You have asked for what Christ Himself promises to give. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for Him. To hunger and thirst after righteousness is blessed, for such people shall be filled. Continue to ask the Lord to kindle that very thirst in the hearts of those you have named, that they may come to Christ as thirsty men come to water and drink deeply and not turn away.

You pray well when you ask for a broken and contrite heart for them. God does not delight in outward show or in mere knowledge, and He will not despise a broken and contrite heart. Such a heart does not rise up to strike or to defend itself, but is quiet and ready to confess its sin and to seek mercy. Pray that God would work this true brokenness in them, that they would not only know the law with the mind but hate their sin and turn from it.

For there is a righteousness that is only outward and in figure, like that of those who know the law in letters, and there is a righteousness and holiness of truth which God creates in us when we are made new in Christ. No one can have that breastplate of righteousness, which protects the soul like armor and cannot be pierced, except through life in Christ. It is a life of universal virtue that comes from Him alone.

And the way to that life is near and not far off. If they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they shall be saved. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and in Him alone there is forgiveness by His precious blood, peace, and understanding. Out of those who believe, as Scripture says, shall flow rivers of living water, a well springing up into everlasting life, so that they shall never thirst again.

So let us pray together that the Lord Jesus would save those who are still bound in lies, cover those who are His own with His blood and keep them in peace, teach all to love truth and to act with compassion and honesty, to regard human life as precious and to speak truthfully, and to walk in the righteousness He gives. May He grant them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only He can satisfy, and may His will be done.

We thank the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us, and we exalt the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have confidence to ask these things. Amen.
