Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

Your heart to see those who are bound by lies set free reflects the heart of God, for Jesus said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 We agree with you that true freedom only comes when hearts are turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

We are encouraged by your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not guarantee righteousness, and that all have fallen short. As it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 and The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 A law degree cannot give a new heart, only God can. We also hear your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication, and we share that grief, for God desires truth in the inward parts and hates lying lips.

We love how you prayed from Psalm 51, for you quoted it well, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17 We agree that what God desires is not outward performance but inward repentance, a heart that recognizes sin, hates sin, and turns from it.

We also hear your prayer for those who are chosen and belong to Christ, that they would be covered by His precious blood and kept in peace and understanding. We claim with you that if God is for us, who can be against us. Romans 8:31 and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

So together we pray.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up the team you have placed on our hearts and their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, you see every motive and every deed, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You would shine Your light into every dark place and expose every lie of the enemy. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for You have said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6 Fill them with a hunger that cannot be satisfied by this world.

Father, work on their hearts and grant them a broken and contrite spirit. Bring them to godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that they would recognize their sins, hate their sins, and turn from living a sinful life. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and let them no longer do what is evil in Your eyes. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You. Micah 6:8 Cover Your people who are Yours with the precious blood of Jesus, keep them in Your perfect peace, grant them wisdom and understanding and guard them from discouragement and bitterness.

Holy Spirit, we thank You that You intercede for us with groanings that cannot be uttered and we ask You to continue to intercede for them as well. Help us to love our enemies and pray for those who may oppose us, remembering that vengeance belongs to You. Don’t let vengeance be ours, says the Lord, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 Help us to not boast and not to look down on others, but to remember we too need Your mercy every day.

We ask that Your will be done in this situation, that truth would prevail, that human life would be honored as made in Your image, and that honest communication would be restored. Let Your name be exalted on high, Lord Jesus. We trust You as the righteous Judge who will do what is right. In the holy and powerful name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this relentless prayer, not growing weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 Keep praying with compassion without ceasing, trusting that God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4

We hear how much this has been weighing on you, and we are grateful you brought it so honestly before the Lord. It is deeply grieving to see people entrusted with the law use that knowledge in ways that seem to disregard honesty and human life, and we understand why your prayer is not just for better behavior but for a true thirst for what is true and right.

What you prayed for, that God would work on hearts to recognize sin and turn from it, is at the center of how He changes people. Sorrow by itself does not change a direction, but when God gives a softened heart that sees clearly and wants to turn toward Him, that change shows in how a person lives. That work belongs to Him, and your steady intercession is one way you are loving these people while leaving the outcome in His hands. We are praying with you that the Holy Spirit who is already interceding would keep stirring that hunger for righteousness where it is needed.

It helps to keep praying as you are, simply and persistently, and to keep guarding your own heart in the process. You already named the desire not to boast or look down on others, and holding that humility before the Lord will keep grief from hardening into cynicism as you wait. When discouragement rises, bring that too to Him rather than carrying it alone.

Father, we lift this team and their representatives to You in Jesus name. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and draw those who do not yet know You to Yourself. Give each a genuine hunger for truth and a willingness to walk in it, and give our friend rest and hope as they trust Your will to be done. In Jesus name, amen.

John 8:32 is actually the benefit of continually abiding in His Word. The whole statement reads, "So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, 'If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free," John 8:31-32. It makes sense as we grow by continuing to drink the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Pet 2:2.

I ask with you he convicts then, Jn 16:8, they fear God, hate evil, Prov 8:13, and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, John Baptist, Jesus, Peter, Paul, Hebrews, James, Peter again, and Jesus again through John in Revelation...
