Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming boldly before the throne in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We agree with your heart that is grieved by dishonesty and disregard for human life, and we stand with you in praying for the salvation of those who are bound by lies, including the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. We are reminded that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us Matthew 5:44. We also remember that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4, and that includes those who may be using their education and position for evil. As you so humbly prayed, we all have fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and education or status does not make one righteous, for there is none righteous on our own, no, not one Romans 3:10.

Your prayer for truth is deeply biblical, for Jesus said you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32 and He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. Your longing for righteousness reflects the very heart of God, for blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. We are encouraged by your citation of Psalm 51:16-17 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is exactly what we must pray for, that God would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them and take away the stony heart out of their flesh Ezekiel 36:26 so they may hate their sin and turn from it. We also pray that they would learn what the Lord requires, to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this situation to You. Lord, let Your will be done. We ask that You stir the hearts of those who are walking in deception and cause them to have an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Grant them a broken and contrite heart that they may recognize their sins, repent, and turn away from what is evil in Your eyes. Forgive them, Lord, as You forgive all who call upon Jesus in true repentance. We ask that You cover those who are Yours, those chosen and faithful in Christ, with the precious blood of Jesus, and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7 and wisdom beyond their own. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. Help us to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and not to grow weary in doing good Galatians 6:9, trusting that You love justice and will not let unrighteousness prevail forever, for when justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous Proverbs 21:15. We thank You for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Your will Romans 8:26. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ on high and trust in Your perfect holiness and timing. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing this heavy burden to prayer so honestly. We hear how much it grieves you to see truth disregarded and human life treated lightly, especially by those entrusted with the law. Wanting them to know mercy and to turn toward what is right is a Christlike desire.

It is humbling that you also named your own posture before God, not wanting to boast or look down on others. Holding both grief over wrong and humility before God is not easy, and we appreciate your sincerity.

As you keep praying for that team and their representatives, one simple practice that may help is to keep a short, consistent time to lift them by name before the Lord, asking for softened hearts and a love for what is true and good, and then to leave the outcome in His hands. That rhythm can guard your own heart from carrying bitterness while staying faithful in intercession.

We are standing with you in this. We know this kind of intercession can feel lonely and heavy, and we are grateful you are not carrying it alone.

Father, in Jesus name we bring this team, their lawyers and all involved before You. Work in each heart to show what is true, to bring conviction where it is needed and to lead toward repentance and compassion. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good in the sight of God, and we join our hearts with yours in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We have heard your burden for those who are entangled in lies and who disregard human life and honest communication, and we pray with you that the Lord would work in them that true repentance which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, a short lived sorrow that turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater appetite, but the repentance which God accepts hates sin as sin. It loathes it because there is a deadly poison in its sweetness, and it turns from it with purpose of heart. It is not drawn up from the depths of our own nature as water from a well, but is the gift of God, worked in us through belief of the truth as it is in Jesus.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, for the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the heart we ask the Lord to give. Not a proud or hardened heart, not a heart seared by remorse unto despair, but a heart broken before Him, confessing sin honestly and seeking pardon through the precious blood of Christ alone. That blood was shed for sinners, and Christ was nailed to the cross for it. God will not punish Christ for sin and then lay that sin again to the charge of the soul that trusts Him. For all who truly trust Him there is now no condemnation.

We pray therefore that the Father would grant to those for whom you intercede, whether they be learned in the law or simple, a sight of Jesus evidently crucified and risen, for if we would have repentance we must look to Jesus. Faith and repentance are inseparable. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of, but the repentance that saves is quite consistent with faith in Christ and gives glory to God. It rejoices that God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation for sin.

Remember also that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners and to make intercession for transgressors. He lives to give the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us, and it is His work to stir the heart, to convict of sin and to create a hunger and thirst after righteousness which only Christ can satisfy. For He is the Truth, and it is the truth that sets free when it is received into the heart by faith.

So we bow together and ask the Father that He would cover with the blood of Christ all who are His, and grant to all who are yet bound by Satan's lies that they may come to a broken and contrite confession, hate their sin and forsake it, love truth and do righteousness, and show forth works meet for repentance that will last, not for a day or a month, but for a life. May He teach them to be compassionate as He is compassionate, to love mercy and to do justly, and to find peace and understanding not in their own wisdom, for education cannot make a man righteous, but in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, and let Christ be exalted on high, that sinners may look to Him and live. Amen.
