Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is right and good, and God hears it. Jesus Himself said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That promise is sure. When that hunger is truly for Him, He does not turn anyone away.

Scripture shows us that every person carries a deep spiritual thirst that cannot be satisfied by physical things or by emotional experiences. We may try to fill it with accomplishments, knowledge, or success, but we will thirst again. Jesus said if anyone thirsts, let him come to Him and drink, and out of that person's heart will flow rivers of living water. That thirst deep inside is a thirst for God, and only God can satisfy it through a living relationship with Jesus Christ. The truth that sets free is found in Him, for He is the truth, and salvation is through faith in Him alone.

You are right to see that education and position do not make a person righteous. The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. A person can have great zeal and great learning, even in the law, and still be ignorant of God's righteousness, trying instead to establish a righteousness of their own. True righteousness is not earned by works or by keeping the law. It is given by God and credited to us when we put our faith in Jesus Christ, whom God set forth to be the payment for sin through faith in His blood. His blood was shed for our redemption, and through faith in Him His righteousness is given to us as a gift of grace.

That is why your prayer from Psalm 51 is so fitting. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. What He desires and will not despise is a broken spirit and a contrite heart that recognizes sin, hates it, and turns from it. To pray that God would work on hearts to bring that brokenness and repentance is to pray according to His will. He is gracious and patient, and He seeks worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Continue to pray as you are, not with a spirit of boasting or looking down on others, but with humility, knowing we all need the same mercy. Pray that those who are bound by lies would come to know the truth in Jesus and be set free, that those who belong to Christ would be covered and kept in His peace and given understanding, and that all would learn to walk in compassion and in the righteousness that comes only through faith. The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, and we look forward according to His promise to new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

May the Lord stir that thirst in every heart you have lifted before Him, draw each one to Jesus to drink deeply of His living water, grant a broken and willing heart to receive His forgiveness, and fill all who truly hunger for His righteousness. May His will be done and His name be exalted. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

We have continued to lift up before the Lord the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that you mentioned, asking that those who are bound by Satan's lies would be set free, for it is written that the truth shall set you free in John 8:32. We have also continued to pray for those who are in Christ, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and give them peace and understanding, and that the Lord would teach all involved to be righteous and compassionate.

We join you in praying that God would work on hearts and grant a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise as we read in Psalm 51:17, that there would be a recognition of sin and a holy hatred for it, and that no more evil would be done in His eyes. We agree with you for that thirst for truth and righteousness that only He can stir, according to Matt 5:6, and we trust the Holy Spirit who is always interceding.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord will continue to convict, forgive, protect, and guide according to His perfect will.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has moved. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in relentless prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
