Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by your broken and compassionate heart before the Lord. You have prayed so beautifully in Jesus' name, acknowledging that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that truth itself is found in Him.

We agree with you that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. True righteousness and true truth come only from being born again by the Spirit of God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and you rightly quoted, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32. Apart from Christ, even the most learned remain bound by Satan's lies, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, 2 Corinthians 4:4.

We also love your humble spirit in not wishing to boast or look down on others, but to intercede for them. God desires this intercession, for He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We cling to the promise you quoted from Psalm 51:17, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. And we hold to the beatitude, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. That hunger is not natural to the heart of man, it must be given by God, and so we ask Him to create it within them.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are holy and that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Your will, Romans 8:26. Lord, we lift up the team at the organization mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. We ask that You would have mercy upon them and save those among them who do not know You. Pierce through the darkness and the lies that bind them. By Your precious blood shed on the cross, cover and protect those who are Yours, grant them Your peace which surpasses understanding, Philippians 4:7, and give them wisdom and understanding in this difficult situation.

Father, we ask You to work on the hearts of those who are acting unrighteously and disregarding human life and honest communication. Give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, Ezekiel 36:26. Grant them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from it in true repentance. Stir within them an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness that only You can satisfy. Teach them to do what is just and to love mercy and to walk humbly with You, Micah 6:8. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to Jesus, and keep them from doing what is evil in Your eyes. Let them know that obedience is better than sacrifice, 1 Samuel 15:22, and that You desire truth in the innermost being, Psalm 51:6.

We thank You that You hear relentless prayer. You have told us to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and that men ought always to pray and not to lose heart, Luke 18:1. So we will continue to stand in the gap. Let Your will be done, Heavenly Father, on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ above every other name, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We entrust all of this into Your sovereign and compassionate hands.

In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this faithful, relentless intercession. God is using your grief over sin and your love for truth as a reflection of His own heart. Keep praying that God would grant repentance and that many would be delivered from darkness into the kingdom of His beloved Son, Colossians 1:13.

We hear the weight in your prayer, and the grief you carry over how truth and human life have been disregarded. It is a heavy burden to see dishonesty and to keep bringing it before the Lord as you have, with humility and without wanting to look down on others.

What stood out to us is that you have chosen to pray for those who have caused that hurt, asking God to work in their hearts rather than holding onto revenge or avoidance. That kind of decision is significant, even when the feelings of anger and sorrow are still very present. In our experience the decision to release someone to God and the quieting of the emotions around it often move at different paces. The emotions can still rise and fall day to day, especially when you keep turning the situation over in your mind, and that does not mean your prayer was not sincere.

One thing that may help is to give your intercession a clear place and then a clear stopping point. When you have prayed as you did here, try to consciously hand the matter back to God for that day and step back into the duties He has given you, rather than ruminating on what those lawyers might do next. If the grief surges again, a brief, simple entrusting prayer can be enough.

Father, we lift this burden to You in Jesus' name. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, guard our brother or sister from bitterness, and give them wisdom and rest as they trust You. Stir hearts toward truth and righteousness according to Your will, and teach us all to walk humbly before You. Amen.

It is a right and blessed desire that you have poured out before the Lord, to hunger and thirst after righteousness. Our Savior said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled, and that promise stands sure. Such a thirst is not wrought in us by nature, but by the grace of God, and where He has begun it He will satisfy it.

You grieve, and rightly, to see those who are learned in the law yet not governed by the law of God, and to see truth disregarded and human life lightly esteemed. It is true, as you have humbly confessed, that education cannot make the heart righteous. The heart itself must be given to God. He says, My son, give Me your heart, and a heart that is halved is no heart at all. He asks for the whole, though it be foul and filthy, that He may wash it and make it new. What He delights in is not outward sacrifice but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise.

Take comfort that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners. While we pray here below, He intercedes above, and His blood still speaks for mercy. The truth you long to see reign is not an abstract principle but a Person, for He is the Truth, and where He is received in deed and truth He forms the mind anew and gives it shape according to His perfect wisdom. When that Truth is fully believed it brings peace and joy to the heart and mind, for God will not punish Christ for sin and then lay that sin again to the charge of the sinner for whom the Substitute has died.

So we will pray with you. May the Lord work in the hearts of those of whom you speak, that they may come to loathe sin and to hate it enough to turn from it, and may He grant them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only He can create and only He can satisfy. May He cover with His precious blood all who are His, and give them peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate. And for all who hope in the Lord, though the heart grows weak, He has promised to strengthen the heart. He alone can do it.

We join you in asking the Holy Spirit to stir and convict and to draw many to know the Truth of God for themselves, that they may then hasten to tell it to others. May the Lord grant repentance, forgiveness through the great atoning Sacrifice, and newness of life, and may His will be done.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would grant a true hunger and thirst for righteousness, that You would break the hard heart and make it contrite, and that You would cause truth to reign where lies have bound. Grant pardon and cleansing through the blood of Christ to all who turn to Him, and strengthen the hearts of those who hope in You. Let Your will be done, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and pleasing to God, and we join you in it. Our Lord Himself said blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, and again, if any man thirst let him come to me and drink. Those who come to the divine preaching must have the desire of thirsty men for water and kindle that longing within, and God is the one who can give it. We ask Him to give this thirst both to you and to those for whom you pray, so that you may eagerly receive what He teaches and retain it.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. A broken heart does not rise up or strike back, it is quiet even when insulted and is not eager for vengeance, but is ready to be humbled and to turn from sin. This is the gift we need most. God Himself gives the contrite and humbled heart, sober and self possessed and awestruck, full of repentance and compunction, and without it we cannot stand in the conflict against unseen powers and spiritual wickedness. We pray with you that He will work on the hearts of the team and their lawyers and representatives, that they would see their sins, hate their sins, and not continue in them, but turn to true righteousness and holiness which are of the truth in Christ. The old righteousness was only a figure, but in Christ we are made new, created in righteousness and holiness of truth, made sons through Him.

We also pray as you have, not boasting and not looking down on others, for we all fall short of the glory of God, and God has marked out innumerable ways for our healing when we are willing to attend, through prayers, compunction, repentance, humility, a contrite heart, showing mercy, remitting anger against those who have displeased us, giving thanks for all things, fasting according to our power, and praying sincerely. When we pray according to the will of God, we are heard, for the Spirit Himself intercedes for us and teaches us to ask for what is pleasing to Him. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to cover those who are His with the precious blood of Christ, to grant them peace and understanding, to teach them to be compassionate and to love honest communication and to regard human life as He does, and above all to grant salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. May He stir all hearts involved to love truth and to hate what is evil in His eyes.

Continue steadfast in this relentless prayer, with thanksgiving and humility, and trust that the Holy Spirit who intercedes for you and for them is at work. May the Lord grant you and them that living water, so that rivers of living water may flow from within, and may He count us all worthy to obtain pardon and to walk in His ways. Let His will be done. Amen.
