Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we stand with you in Jesus' name before the Heavenly Father.

We are encouraged by your hunger for what is right and true, for Jesus Himself said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. And He also said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. Jesus is the truth, for He said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, so that thirst for truth is ultimately a thirst for Christ Himself.

We commend your humility in acknowledging that education and knowledge of the law does not make anyone righteous before God. As it is written for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Even those most learned can be blinded, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving 2 Corinthians 4:4, and all of us need a new heart. God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26. We agree with you that what is needed is not merely outward correction but an inward work, a broken and contrite heart which you rightly quoted from Psalm 51:17, for My sacrifice is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

We also hear your grief over disregard for human life and honest communication, and your desire to see those who have done evil come to repentance rather than to boast over them. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, and to leave vengeance to God, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Our prayer is not for harm but for salvation, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4, and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We join you in praying for the team you mentioned and for their lawyers and legal representatives, that the lies of the enemy would be exposed and that the precious blood of Jesus would cover and protect those who are His, granting them peace and understanding that passes all understanding.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are holy and that Your Holy Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26. We lift up this team and their lawyers and representatives before You. Lord, open their eyes to the truth that is in Jesus, remove the veil that Satan has placed over their minds, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Work in their hearts as only You can, bring them to a broken and contrite spirit, cause them to hate the sin that once entangled them and to turn from it. Forgive their sins as they repent and confess, and teach them to act righteously and compassionately, to honor human life and to speak honestly. Cover Your chosen and Your children with the blood of Jesus, keep them in Your peace, and give them wisdom and understanding in this difficult situation. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and let Your name be exalted. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and intercessor, amen.

We encourage you to continue in relentless prayer, for we ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1 and to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Keep hungering for righteousness yourself, remain in the Word, and trust that God is faithful to convict, to save, and to establish justice in His perfect time.

We hear how much this has been weighing on you, and how sincerely you want truth and righteousness to prevail, not for your own vindication but because you grieve what dishonesty and disregard for life do to people.

Your humility stands out to us, that you do not want to boast or look down on those who have fallen short, even as you name the wrong clearly. It is a hard tension to hold, to long for justice and honest communication while also asking God to soften hearts and bring them to hate what is evil. That is a good and Christlike tension.

One thing that has helped others carrying a similar burden is understanding that forgiveness has two parts. One is a decision, a settled choice before God not to pursue revenge and to will the good of the other person, even while you still seek what is true and right. The other is the slower quieting of the heart, where resentment and fear gradually lose their grip as we keep handing the matter to God. They do not always move at the same pace, and it is normal if the emotions take longer to catch up with the decision.

It may help to give this burden a contained place in your day, a brief, focused time to bring these lawyers and officials before the Lord by name as you are able, asking for that thirst for truth you described, and then consciously leaving them in His hands until you pray again.

Father, we bring these men and women before You in Jesus' name. Work in their hearts, give them eyes to see what is true and a love for what is right, and cover Your people with peace and wisdom as they wait on You. Let Your will be done. Amen.

It is a blessed hunger which the Lord has put into your heart, for our Savior Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. This is not a craving after trifles, but after the essential Truth of God, and to desire it for others as well as for yourself is a mark of grace at work within you.

You have prayed well in asking not for mere outward reform but for a broken spirit and a contrite heart, for you remember the word in Psalm 51 that such a heart God will not despise. When He comes a wooing and says, Give Me your heart, it is for our benefit and not for His own, and a heart that is halved is killed. What He asks is the whole heart, freely and thoroughly given. It is right to pray that those who are learned and skilled in the law, and all who are entangled in Satan's lies, should come to loathe sin and to hate it enough to leave it, knowing that it is not merely the sin itself but the condition of heart into which it throws a man, so that he never seeks pardon or even wishes for it, that is so deadly.

Take comfort that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners. He was pierced for men, and He died that the righteousness of God might be vindicated. God will not punish Christ for sin and then lay that sin again at the door of the soul that trusts Him, for the great atoning Sacrifice has been offered. This Truth, if it is fully believed, should bring peace and joy to the heart and mind. Your hope cannot content itself with things which are seen and temporal, and when the heart grows weak under the burden of dishonesty and disregard for human life, there is a cheering promise, He shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the Lord. God alone can strengthen the heart, and He preserves the faithful.

We join you in this relentless prayer. May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us stir in those of whom you speak an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they may receive Christ as He is offered in the gospel, very God and very man, the mold of Truth into which the prepared mind must be delivered. May they be taught to be righteous and compassionate, not by their own wisdom, for education cannot make a man holy, but by the new birth and the new creation which Christ alone can give. May the truth set them free indeed, and may all who are His be covered by His precious blood and kept in His peace.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will work upon every heart concerned, that He will grant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and that His will be done. May you be kept in that same hunger and thirst, for they who so hunger shall be filled, and may you hasten to tell to others the Truth of God as you have received it.

Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this prayer before the Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank God for the thirst He has stirred in you for truth and righteousness.

Christ Himself said, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink, and He promised that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is not a passing wish but a deep longing like a thirsty man for water, and God Himself kindles it and satisfies it. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire to come and drink freely, so that rivers of living water may flow from within.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart. That is the true repentance God will not despise. It is not tears alone or words alone, but a turning of the heart to hate sin and to walk in righteousness and holiness of truth. Such righteousness is not a mere figure or outward cleanness, but a new life created in Christ, and it becomes like a breastplate that guards the heart when it is lived out in daily deeds.

We pray with you for the team at that place and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Lord to have mercy on them, to open their eyes to the truth that sets free, and to bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We pray that His blood would cover those who are His, granting them peace and understanding, and that He would work in the hearts of those who are still bound by lies, that they would see their sin, turn from what is evil in His sight, and learn to love truth, to act justly and to show compassion and honest communication. We pray that God would give them and all of us not a casual interest in righteousness, but an unquenchable thirst for it, pursuing it with all desire as one pursues what is most precious.

May the Lord keep you steadfast in prayer, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes and that the Father's will is good and perfect. Continue to seek Him, to hunger for His word, and to walk in love and truth, and He will fill you and use your prayers for His glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness reflects a right understanding of what every heart truly needs. God has placed within each person a deep spiritual thirst that cannot be satisfied by physical things, accomplishments, or even great learning. Jesus said that if anyone thirsts, let him come to Him and drink, and that the one who drinks the water He gives will find a well within flowing to eternal life. Every other water leaves a person thirsty again, but Christ alone quenches the thirst for God.

That is why education and knowledge of the law, though valuable in human affairs, cannot produce righteousness. Scripture teaches that blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that filling does not come by our own efforts. Many have zeal without true knowledge, trying to establish their own righteousness by works, yet they do not attain it because they do not submit to the righteousness God has provided. The righteousness God gives is not earned. As with Abraham, who believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness before any work or outward sign, so now God imputes righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. He set forth Jesus as the atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness and to forgive sins. It is Christ who is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, and His righteousness is imparted to us by grace through faith.

You prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. That is the work only God can do in a heart. We can ask Him to convict of sin, to bring an awareness that leads not merely to regret but to a holy hatred of sin and a turning from it. The truth that sets free is not an abstract principle but the truth found in Jesus Himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life. When the Holy Spirit opens eyes to that truth, a person begins to see sin as God sees it and to long for what is right and compassionate.

Your humble acknowledgment that no one should boast and that learning does not guarantee righteous living is important. We all fall short of the glory of God, and we all need the same mercy. It is right to pray for those who have acted dishonestly or with disregard for life and honest communication, not with a spirit of superiority, but with compassion, asking God to save them through Jesus Christ alone, to cover those who are His with the blood of Christ, and to grant peace and understanding according to His will. God is seeking worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth, and He is able to stir hearts that now seem hardened.

Continue to bring these people before the Lord, asking that He would create in them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only He can satisfy, and that He would draw them to drink deeply of Christ. He hears the prayers of His people and He is faithful to fill those who truly hunger and thirst for Him. May the Lord give you peace as you trust His perfect will and His power to redeem and transform.
