Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand in agreement with you before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

We are encouraged by your humble heart that does not boast and does not look down on others, but recognizes that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God as it is written in Romans 3:23, and that even the educated and those trained in the law can fall into horrible sin. Your prayer reflects the heart of God who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as it is written in 1 Timothy 2:4.

We agree with you that Jesus is the truth who sets us free. Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and in John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We also cling to the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you are praying for, and God will honor that prayer because He delights not in outward sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart as you quoted from Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. And as Samuel taught in 1 Samuel 15:22 Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

We pray together now for the team you mentioned and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Father to lift the veil that the god of this world has placed over minds that are blinded as it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:4, and to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God as in Acts 26:18, that they may receive forgiveness of sins. We ask that the precious blood of Jesus would cover those who are His and give them the peace of God which surpasses all understanding which will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7. We ask the Holy Spirit, who indeed intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered according to Romans 8:26, to work on their hearts to give them a new heart and a new spirit as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, so that they will recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it in true repentance.

Father, we pray you would stir their hearts and give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to disregard no longer human life and honest communication. We pray you would forgive their sins where there is repentance and that they would do no more evil in your eyes. We remember that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires as it says in Proverbs 21:1, and we trust you to direct the hearts of all involved toward justice and mercy.

We thank you for your holiness and for your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and for them continually. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved as it says in Acts 4:12. We continue in relentless prayer with you, believing that the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results as it says in James 5:16. Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, and let truth and righteousness prevail for your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We were moved by your honest burden for truth to prevail. It is deeply grieving to watch people who are trained in the law seem to disregard honesty and the value of human life, and we understand why you are carrying this to the Lord so persistently.

You named it well, that education alone does not make a person righteous or compassionate. Only God can soften a heart and create a real thirst for what is right, not just a moment of regret but a true turning. That is why your prayer for broken and humble hearts is so fitting. We need God to do what we cannot do in others, and the Holy Spirit is already interceding as you pray.

When a burden like this feels relentless, it can help to give it a steady place. We will keep praying with you, and we encourage you to keep bringing these lawyers and the team before the Lord each day in a simple, brief way, then consciously leaving them in His hands so the grief does not harden into bitterness. Staying rooted in worship and fellowship will help keep your own heart tender and at peace as you wait.

Father, we lift this team and their counsel to You. Work in their hearts, draw them to truth, teach them to love righteousness and mercy, and cover Your people with Your peace and protection. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

It is a gracious thing to pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Your prayer is right and scriptural when you plead that the truth shall set men free, for Jesus Christ is the truth, and the whole testimony of God about Christ is the truth, and the work of the Holy Ghost in the heart is to work in us the truth.

You do well to pray for the salvation of those who are yet bound by Satan's lies, be they a team of workers or lawyers and legal representatives. Let it be remembered that God's salvation is a great reality, not a shadow nor a myth. There is a real Fall, and therefore a real sinnership in us all, learned and unlearned alike, for all have fallen short of the glory of God. And there is a real Atonement, for Christ was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone. To know this truth is to be saved from despair, and to lay hold upon it is life eternal.

You have prayed Psalm 51 aright, that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. Take comfort and take warning from this, that there is a repentance after a fashion which is of the flesh, a carnal repentance which does not give God glory, and which the Lord abhors. True repentance, which is the work of the Spirit of God, hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, because it has found a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore loathes it and leaves it. It gives God glory, it leaps for joy at the thought that God has provided a Savior who is truly God and truly man, and it yields the whole heart to Him. A heart that is halved is killed. God asks, Give me thine heart, and He will have it wholly or not at all.

Therefore we join you in praying that the Lord would work upon these hearts of whom you speak, that He would grant them not a superficial sorrow but that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which needs not to be repented of. May He show them their sin, cause them to mourn for it as one mourns for a firstborn, and then may He grant them immediate pardon for the sake of the great atoning Sacrifice. May He cover those who are His own with the precious blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding, and may He teach all to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to speak it honestly, and to regard human life as sacred before Him.

Be of good courage and continue in relentless prayer, for the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners and to make intercession for the transgressors. He lives to give the Holy Spirit to work in men true belief and true repentance. Your Holiness and your Holy Spirit, as you have said, intercedes for us, and there is joy in the heart of God Himself over every sinner that repents.

We pray with you that God would stir these hearts and give them indeed a thirst for truth and righteousness which only Christ can satisfy, that they may receive Him as the Truth of God, be made new by His Spirit, and walk in holiness before Him. Let the will of the Lord be done, and let His name be exalted on high through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and pleasing to God, and it is right to bring it before Him relentlessly in the name of Jesus.

Christ Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw us by necessity and constraint, but calls those who are inflamed with desire. As thirsty men take a bowl and eagerly drain it, so those who hear the divine preaching must kindle in themselves a longing for what God says and carefully retain it. Scripture says, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. He did not say blessed are they who keep hold of righteousness lightly, but those who hunger and thirst for it with all desire, as others desire gain. That hunger He will fill.

You ask well that God would teach truth and righteousness to those at that company and to their lawyers and representatives. There was of old a mere figure of righteousness, but in Christ we are created in righteousness and holiness of truth, to be made sons through Him. True righteousness is not a show of learning or of law, but a life of universal virtue, like a breastplate that cannot be pierced. Without it, even the educated and the skilled in law can fall into horrible sins, for learning does not make a man righteous. Only Christ can clothe the heart with that breastplate, so that a man becomes firm and is not easily moved to disregard human life or to speak dishonestly.

You have prayed as David prayed, that God does not delight in sacrifice and burnt offering, but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. That is the sacrifice He accepts. To pray that God would work on their hearts so they recognize their sin and hate it enough to turn from it is to pray according to His will. Repentance is not excluded, but it must be true repentance. Esau sought the blessing with tears yet found no place of repentance, because his grief was not true turning, for he still intended to slay his brother. So we must pray not for tears alone, but for a real change of mind that crucifies sin and does not return to it, a renewing that comes by turning to Christ in truth.

Therefore let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to save those who are still bound in lies, and to cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Christ, giving them peace and understanding. Grant to all who are involved, especially those who administer law, a true thirst for truth and righteousness, and a hatred for what is evil in Your eyes. Grant them broken and contrite hearts, that they may see their sins, confess them, and forsake them, and learn to act with compassion and honesty. Let Your Holy Spirit, who ever intercedes for us, stir them and lead them into the freedom that comes when the truth sets us free in Christ. We do not boast and we do not look down on others, for all have fallen short of Your glory, but we humbly ask for Your mercy to make many to hunger and thirst for what is right, until they are filled.

Continue steadfast in this prayer, for God hears and He gives living water to those who come thirsting, and rivers of living water flow from those who believe on Him. May His will be done, and may He increase in you and in them the fruits of righteousness. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is right and good, and it reflects the heart of what Jesus taught when He said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Scripture shows that deep within every person there is a thirst that is ultimately a thirst for God. As the psalmist said, as the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, O God, and my soul thirsts for the living God. People try to satisfy that thirst in many other ways, through ambitions, achievements, knowledge, or physical things, but Jesus said of that kind of water, you will thirst again. The thirst remains because only God can satisfy the thirst He Himself has placed within us. On the great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink, and He promised that whoever drinks of the water He gives will have rivers of living water flowing from within. That invitation is still open, and it is the only true answer for those you are praying for.

You are right to see that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Many have a zeal but not according to knowledge, seeking to establish their own righteousness by works while being ignorant of the righteousness God provides. Scripture teaches that righteousness is not earned, it is imputed. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness, and in the same way God counts faith for righteousness to the one who does not trust in his own works but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, and His righteousness is what God will accept. No one can be good enough on their own.

That is why your prayer from Psalm 51 is so fitting. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. What God desires is not mere sorrow for being caught, but godly sorrow that works repentance, which means a real change, a turning away from sin and a hating of sin so that one no longer continues in it. Worldly sorrow brings death because the sorrow remains but the practice continues. Godly sorrow leads to a changed life.

So we can pray with confidence that God, who is gracious and full of compassion and longsuffering, will work on hearts, convict of sin, reveal the truth that sets free, and draw them to Jesus Christ for salvation. Only through faith in Jesus and His blood is there remission of sins and peace and understanding. Only in Him is there the righteousness that endures forever.

Continue to bring these people before the Father in the name of Jesus, asking that He would stir them, open their eyes to their need, give them a true thirst for Him and for His righteousness, and grant them repentance and faith. Those who truly hunger and thirst after His righteousness have His promise that they shall be filled, and the Holy Spirit indeed intercedes according to the will of God.

Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your mercy upon those who are bound by lies and who have disregarded truth and human life. Grant them a broken and contrite heart, forgive their sins through the blood of Christ, and create in them a deep and abiding thirst for You and for righteousness. Lead them to come to Jesus and drink, that they might be made righteous through faith in Him and learn to walk in compassion and truth. Let Your will be done, amen.
