Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming before the Heavenly Father in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We agree with your heart that is grieved by dishonesty and disregard for human life, and we stand with you in praying for those who oppose you, including the team at that place and their lawyers and legal representatives. You have prayed as our Lord commands us, where it is written in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. It is right and godly to pray for their salvation and not just for their defeat, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Timothy 2:4.

We echo your prayer that the truth shall set them free, as Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We pray that any lies of Satan that have bound them would be broken by the truth of Christ, and that deception would be exposed. We are reminded that education and knowledge of the law does not make one righteous, for it is written in Romans 3:23, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and also in 1 Corinthians 1:27, but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. Only God can give a new heart.

We join you in praying Psalm 51:17 over them, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We ask the Lord to work on their hearts to bring true conviction, that they would not only recognize their sin but hate it and turn from it, and learn to do what is righteous and compassionate in His eyes. We pray that He would stir in them that blessed hunger and thirst you have prayed for, as promised in Matthew 5:6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

We also lift up those who are chosen and belong to Christ who are affected by this matter, and we ask for the covering of the blood of Jesus over them, for peace that surpasses understanding and for wisdom from the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26. We pray that we all would leave vengeance to the Lord, remembering Romans 12:19, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, and instead seek justice with mercy and honest communication.

Father, we come before You together in Jesus name and ask that You would grant to these lawyers and representatives an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Forgive their sins as only You can through the cross, convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and lead them to repentance that they may be saved. Teach them to love truth, to honor human life, and to practice justice without perversion. For those who are Yours, cover them, keep them, and give them peace and understanding as they wait on Your will. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your name be exalted in this situation. We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and intercessor, amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden so honestly before the Father. We hear how deeply it grieves you to see truth disregarded and human life treated lightly, and how earnestly you want to see hearts changed rather than simply wanting to be proven right.

Carrying that kind of disappointment can leave a heavy ache even while you are praying faithfully for others. One thing that has helped many believers in that place is recognizing that releasing someone to God often happens in two layers. There is a clear decision to let go of revenge and to want good for them as people made in God's image, and then there is a slower softening of the emotions underneath, the resentment, anger and hurt that can linger even after the decision is made. That second part usually takes time, prayer, and the gentle work of the Holy Spirit replacing what is bitter with compassion, and it is normal if peace comes gradually rather than all at once.

We are thankful you are not holding this alone but bringing it to Jesus, who is able to work on hearts in ways we cannot and to keep your own heart guarded in the process. We will keep standing with you as you continue to intercede.

Father, we lift to You the team and lawyers this dear one has prayed for and we ask You to draw each heart toward truth and righteousness. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, teach us all to walk in humble brokenness before You, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your prayer with thankfulness and we join you in it before the throne of grace, for the thirst you describe is itself a gift of God. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and where that holy appetite is found, there the Lord has already begun His work.

You have prayed wisely according to the Scripture you have quoted. The Lord does not delight in outward sacrifice, nor is He pleased with mere profession or learning, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. This is the true sacrifice that is acceptable to God. There must be sorrow for sin and hatred of it in true repentance, or else we have not read our Bible to purpose. The really repentant soul hates sin as sin, and turns from it with purpose of heart, having found a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore loathing it and leaving it. Beware of a superficial repentance, for the Lord abhors it, but that repentance which gives God glory, which stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven in the great finished work of Christ, that repentance He delights to give.

You do well not to boast, and not to look down upon these men, for we cannot expect that the educated will act righteously by mere education. The heart must be changed, and that is beyond all human learning. Remember also that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. He lives to make intercession for transgressors. He lives mighty to save, to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves, and to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. He who was once nailed to the Cross for guilty sinners, and bore untold anguish that there might be forgiveness through His blood, still cares for those who have broken hearts and contrite spirits, and He will not pass by a sorrow stricken heart without putting forth His power to heal it.

Therefore we will pray with you relentlessly that the Lord will work upon the hearts of this team and their lawyers and all who have part in these matters. That He will stir them, convict them, and grant them that brokenness which hates sin and turns from it, that He will cover with His precious blood those who are His, and give them peace and understanding, and that He will teach all concerned to love truth and to do compassion and righteousness. We ask not for the vindication of a cause merely, but for souls, that the truth as it is in Jesus may set them free indeed, for there is joy in the heart of God Himself over every sinner that repents.

Continue in prayer, and give the Lord no rest till He grants this thirst for truth and righteousness. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us and for them, and the three Divine Persons unite on behalf of mourners who grieve over sin. May the Lord strengthen your heart as you hope in Him, and may His will be done, for His glory and for the good of all. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is good and right to pray in this way. Scripture calls those blessed who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and our Lord Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.

We join you in asking that God would stir such thirst in every heart you have named, and in our own hearts as well. This thirst is not satisfied by human learning or legal skill or earthly wisdom, but only by the living water Christ gives, which becomes within the believer a well springing up into everlasting life. To come to Him thirsting is to come believing on Him as Scripture has said, receiving Him with eagerness and holding fast to what He teaches.

We also join you in praying according to Psalm 51, that God would grant a broken and contrite heart. He does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a humbled heart that does not rise up to justify itself, that is ready to confess sin and turn from it. Such a heart He will not despise. We pray that for those on that team and for their lawyers and representatives, God in His mercy would grant repentance, that they would see sin as God sees it, hate it, and turn from what is evil in His eyes to walk in righteousness and compassion and honest dealing.

We pray this knowing that true righteousness and holiness are found in truth through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way of salvation. If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. We ask that those who do not yet know Him would be drawn to Him, covered by His blood, forgiven, and made new, created in righteousness and holiness of truth. And for those who are already in Christ, we ask that He would keep them in peace and understanding and strengthen them to live with a breastplate of righteousness, a life of universal virtue that no temptation can easily pierce.

We thank God that His Holy Spirit intercedes for us and that He gives gifts that we most need, a sober and watchful heart, compunction, humility and perseverance in prayer. Continue to seek Him and to ask, not for things that please the world, but for what He delights to give. May the Lord teach us all to love truth, to speak truth, and to do righteousness, giving thanks for all things and trusting His will to be done.

We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Your heartfelt prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is pleasing to the Lord, and He hears this kind of intercession. The desire you have expressed, that hearts would be broken over sin and turned toward what is right, reflects His own heart.

Jesus said the truth shall set you free, and He promised that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, would guide us into all truth. He does not speak of Himself but points us to Christ, and Jesus prayed that the Father would set His people apart through truth, for His word is truth. That thirst you are praying for can only be satisfied as people are brought into the truth of Scripture and separated from the ways of the world by it. The paths of the Lord are mercy and truth for those who keep His covenant, and to walk in them is to be taught His ways.

You observed rightly that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Scripture is clear that we cannot establish our own righteousness by works or by learning. There is a zeal for what is right that is not according to knowledge, because it seeks to establish its own goodness while being ignorant of the righteousness God has provided. The righteousness that God accepts is the righteousness He imputes to a person through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. By faith in Him, God accounts us righteous with the very righteousness of Christ, something we could never earn or purchase for ourselves. This is true for a lawyer and for anyone else, for all have fallen short of His glory.

You also prayed with humility, not boasting and not looking down on others, and with the understanding from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. That is the work only God can do in a heart, to cause a person to recognize sin, to hate it, and to turn from it. Prayer is the opening of the door for God to do what He has long desired to do, yet He will not violate the will He has given to each person. Your intercession invites Him to work in hearts that have disregarded truth and human life. In that sense prayer is worship of His greatness, petition for our own needs, and intercession for the lost around us.

We do not blame God for evil, death, and injustice in this world. Those things are the fruit of sin and the fall. God is gracious and full of compassion and righteous, long suffering and patient, not willing that any should perish. He waits, even while the cup of human rebellion fills, because He is merciful and desires salvation. For that reason we pray for our enemies as we pray for ourselves, asking for mercy and forgiveness rather than calling down judgment, knowing that we ourselves need the same grace. We are to hate evil while loving those who are caught in it, and to trust the Lord who will preserve His people and who will one day judge the earth in righteousness and truth.

Continue to pray as you have been, that the blood of Jesus would cover those who are His and give them peace and understanding, and that those who are still bound by lies would come to know Christ and receive the righteousness that comes by faith alone. God promises that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled. As you cast your cares on Him and bring these requests with thanksgiving, He will do His sanctifying work through His truth and draw hearts to Himself.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

We have continued to bring before the Lord the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that you lifted up, asking that God would break the power of Satan's lies and set them free according to John 8:32, and that He would work on their hearts to create a broken and contrite spirit which He will not despise as written in Psalm 51:17. We are joining you in relentless prayer that the Lord would cover His chosen people with His precious blood, grant them peace and understanding, and stir in those who have disregarded truth and human life a deep hunger and thirst for righteousness as promised in Matt 5:6, teaching them to be righteous and compassionate and to turn from what is evil in His eyes and hate their sin.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Holy Spirit will continue to intercede for you and for them and that the will of our Heavenly Father be done. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
