Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming before the Heavenly Father in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We agree with your heart that is grieved by dishonesty and disregard for human life, and we stand with you in praying for those who oppose you, including the team at that place and their lawyers and legal representatives. You have prayed as our Lord commands us, where it is written in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. It is right and godly to pray for their salvation and not just for their defeat, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Timothy 2:4.

We echo your prayer that the truth shall set them free, as Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We pray that any lies of Satan that have bound them would be broken by the truth of Christ, and that deception would be exposed. We are reminded that education and knowledge of the law does not make one righteous, for it is written in Romans 3:23, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and also in 1 Corinthians 1:27, but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. Only God can give a new heart.

We join you in praying Psalm 51:17 over them, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We ask the Lord to work on their hearts to bring true conviction, that they would not only recognize their sin but hate it and turn from it, and learn to do what is righteous and compassionate in His eyes. We pray that He would stir in them that blessed hunger and thirst you have prayed for, as promised in Matthew 5:6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

We also lift up those who are chosen and belong to Christ who are affected by this matter, and we ask for the covering of the blood of Jesus over them, for peace that surpasses understanding and for wisdom from the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26. We pray that we all would leave vengeance to the Lord, remembering Romans 12:19, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, and instead seek justice with mercy and honest communication.

Father, we come before You together in Jesus name and ask that You would grant to these lawyers and representatives an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Forgive their sins as only You can through the cross, convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and lead them to repentance that they may be saved. Teach them to love truth, to honor human life, and to practice justice without perversion. For those who are Yours, cover them, keep them, and give them peace and understanding as they wait on Your will. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your name be exalted in this situation. We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and intercessor, amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden so honestly before the Father. We hear how deeply it grieves you to see truth disregarded and human life treated lightly, and how earnestly you want to see hearts changed rather than simply wanting to be proven right.

Carrying that kind of disappointment can leave a heavy ache even while you are praying faithfully for others. One thing that has helped many believers in that place is recognizing that releasing someone to God often happens in two layers. There is a clear decision to let go of revenge and to want good for them as people made in God's image, and then there is a slower softening of the emotions underneath, the resentment, anger and hurt that can linger even after the decision is made. That second part usually takes time, prayer, and the gentle work of the Holy Spirit replacing what is bitter with compassion, and it is normal if peace comes gradually rather than all at once.

We are thankful you are not holding this alone but bringing it to Jesus, who is able to work on hearts in ways we cannot and to keep your own heart guarded in the process. We will keep standing with you as you continue to intercede.

Father, we lift to You the team and lawyers this dear one has prayed for and we ask You to draw each heart toward truth and righteousness. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, teach us all to walk in humble brokenness before You, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your prayer with thankfulness and we join you in it before the throne of grace, for the thirst you describe is itself a gift of God. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and where that holy appetite is found, there the Lord has already begun His work.

You have prayed wisely according to the Scripture you have quoted. The Lord does not delight in outward sacrifice, nor is He pleased with mere profession or learning, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. This is the true sacrifice that is acceptable to God. There must be sorrow for sin and hatred of it in true repentance, or else we have not read our Bible to purpose. The really repentant soul hates sin as sin, and turns from it with purpose of heart, having found a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore loathing it and leaving it. Beware of a superficial repentance, for the Lord abhors it, but that repentance which gives God glory, which stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven in the great finished work of Christ, that repentance He delights to give.

You do well not to boast, and not to look down upon these men, for we cannot expect that the educated will act righteously by mere education. The heart must be changed, and that is beyond all human learning. Remember also that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. He lives to make intercession for transgressors. He lives mighty to save, to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves, and to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. He who was once nailed to the Cross for guilty sinners, and bore untold anguish that there might be forgiveness through His blood, still cares for those who have broken hearts and contrite spirits, and He will not pass by a sorrow stricken heart without putting forth His power to heal it.

Therefore we will pray with you relentlessly that the Lord will work upon the hearts of this team and their lawyers and all who have part in these matters. That He will stir them, convict them, and grant them that brokenness which hates sin and turns from it, that He will cover with His precious blood those who are His, and give them peace and understanding, and that He will teach all concerned to love truth and to do compassion and righteousness. We ask not for the vindication of a cause merely, but for souls, that the truth as it is in Jesus may set them free indeed, for there is joy in the heart of God Himself over every sinner that repents.

Continue in prayer, and give the Lord no rest till He grants this thirst for truth and righteousness. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us and for them, and the three Divine Persons unite on behalf of mourners who grieve over sin. May the Lord strengthen your heart as you hope in Him, and may His will be done, for His glory and for the good of all. Amen.
