Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and burden of your heart.

You have prayed according to the heart of God, for it is written blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We agree with you that Satan is the father of lies and blinds the minds of those who do not believe, as it is written the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them 2 Corinthians 4:4. We also agree that education and knowledge of the law does not make a person righteous, for we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and there is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death Proverbs 14:12.

We love how you quoted Psalm 51:16-17, for you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. That is exactly what these lawyers and legal representatives and the team at the place you mentioned need, not just outward correction but inward transformation. Only God can replace a heart of stone with a heart of flesh, as He promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26. We also rejoice that you came in Jesus name, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We lift this burden together before the throne now.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful. We ask that Your will be done in this situation. Lord, we pray for the team and their lawyers and legal representatives who are bound by lies and deception. Shine Your light into their darkness and expose every lie, and give them a holy hatred for sin and a relentless thirst for truth and righteousness that cannot be quenched by anything of this world. Grant them broken and contrite hearts that recognize their sin and turn from it in true repentance toward You through faith in Jesus Christ, for You desire that all people should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We ask You to forgive those who repent and wash them in the precious blood of Jesus. For those who are chosen and belong to Christ in the midst of this trial, we ask You to cover them, keep them in Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, and give them wisdom and understanding and compassionate yet righteous hearts. Teach us all not to boast and not to look down on others, but to walk humbly with You, to love mercy and to do justly Micah 6:8, and to trust that You will bring justice in Your perfect time, for You have said vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay Romans 12:19. Stir hearts, Lord, that human life and honest communication would be honored as You command, and let Your Holy Spirit intercede and work powerfully where we cannot. We exalt Your name, Lord Jesus, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in this intercession, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much James 5:16. Continue to hunger for righteousness yourself and to speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15, knowing that God is not only able to restrain evil but to save even those who seem farthest from Him.

Thank you for pouring out such an honest prayer for truth and righteousness to prevail. We hear both your grief over dishonest and harmful actions and your humility in not wanting to boast or look down on anyone even as you name the wrong.

That ache you described when human life and honest communication are disregarded is real, and it makes sense it would weigh on you. We are grateful you are bringing it to the Lord instead of carrying it alone, asking Him to work in hearts toward what is right and compassionate.

One insight that has helped others carrying a similar burden is that releasing hurt to God often has two parts. One is a settled decision not to pursue revenge and to will good even for those who have done wrong. The other is slower, the gradual easing of resentment and bitterness as God replaces it with peace. Both matter, and the second often takes time and repeated prayer. You do not have to force either one or pretend the wrong did not matter.

We will keep standing with you, asking God to stir a deep thirst for truth in all involved and to guard your own heart with peace and clarity as you continue to intercede.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers and representatives to You and ask You to gently work on hearts toward truth, righteousness and compassion. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and keep the one praying close to You, protected from bitterness and strengthened in hope in Your justice and mercy. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a prayer after God's own heart, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. Blessed indeed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that hunger itself is often the first tender work of the Holy Spirit within the soul.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, for the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. You ask rightly that the Lord would work upon the hearts of these men, the team and their lawyers and representatives, that they might not only feel a terror of judgment but be brought to that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. There is a repentance that springs alone from terror and comes up in a night and withers in a night, a superficial repentance that only affects the surface of the man and is hardly more than skin deep. It does not give God glory. But true repentance, the repentance unto life, gives God glory, because it loathes evil as hateful to the heart of Jesus, and it sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness. Law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone, it is a sense of blood bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone.

We therefore do not preach repentance after the manner of Moses, as a thing to be drawn up from the depths of your own heart as water from a well, but we preach repentance in the name of Jesus Christ, as the gift of God. Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. If any man's heart is turned away from sin, it is the sure and infallible sign of pardon, for the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Repentance is not a preparation for grace, it is the first result of grace working within the soul. And that repentance which saves is never alone, it is inseparable from faith. Any repentance that keeps a man from believing in Christ, that makes him think Christ will not save him, needs itself to be repented of. True repentance purges the soul from dead works and faith fills the soul with living works, the one pulls down and the other builds up, and both look out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

We will pray with you to this end. That the God who delights in mercy would cover those who are His own with the precious blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding in the midst of this trial. That He would teach all concerned, learned and unlearned alike, that wisdom without grace cannot make a man righteous, and that He would in His goodness lead sinners to repentance. For it is the goodness of God that leadeth to repentance, and when the heart is truly broken, frivolity and trifling are gone, and the soul becomes serious, solemn and in earnest before God. May the Lord grant to these men not a carnal and fleeting sorrow, but a practical repentance that yieldeth works meet for repentance and that lasteth, a continual lifelong act that groweth as grace enlighteneth the understanding and affecteth the heart. May they be brought to hate sin and to love truth, to disregard no longer human life and honest communication, but to thirst for that righteousness which is found only in Christ, who is the Sun of Righteousness and the center of all truth.

We cast this burden upon the Lord Jesus who ever liveth to make intercession for transgressors. May His will be done, and may He be glorified both in the showing of mercy and in the doing of justice, through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and pleasing to God, and we join you in it before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have prayed as Scripture teaches us to pray. The Lord Himself said, if anyone thirsts let him come to Me and drink, and He promised that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. This is not a passing wish but a holy longing that God Himself kindles in the heart. As thirsty people eagerly take water and are not satisfied until they have drunk deeply, so the soul that has tasted the living water of Christ continually longs for more of His truth and His righteousness. That living water becomes within a well springing up into everlasting life, so that the one who drinks of it shall never thirst in the way the world thirsts again.

You have also prayed well in asking for a broken and contrite heart for those who are still bound in sin, including the team and the lawyers and representatives you mentioned. This is the sacrifice God will not despise. A contrite heart does not boast, does not rise up to strike back, does not seek vengeance, but is humbled, quiet, and ready to confess its need. Such a heart is itself a gift from God, for we are in a real conflict against spiritual wickedness and we cannot create humility in ourselves. We must ask Him for it, as you have done, that He would soften hearts, grant repentance, and teach them to hate the sin they once excused and to turn from what is evil in His eyes.

We pray with you that God would grant this work according to His mercy. We ask that those who are chosen and those who are yet outside of Christ would hear the word of faith which is near, that if they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead they shall be saved. We ask that the Lord would cover His people with peace and understanding, and guard them with the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of virtue lived in holiness and truth, not the mere figure of righteousness but the reality that comes through new birth in Christ. We ask that those who have used knowledge and education for unrighteous purposes would be brought to see that true righteousness is not from the law but from faith in Christ, and that truth is not an idea but the Lord Himself who sets us free.

It is right that you do not boast and do not look down on others, remembering that all have fallen short of the glory of God, and it is right that your heart is grieved by disregard for human life and for honest communication. Bring that grief to God in prayer, and also commit your own heart to thanksgiving, to humility, to mercy toward those who have wronged you, and to continued intercession. The Holy Spirit indeed intercedes for us and for them, and the Father hears.

So we will continue in relentless prayer with you. May the Lord increase in you and in all His people this thirst for truth and righteousness, may He grant to those for whom you pray a true contrition and a new heart, and may His will be done. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation. Amen.

Your prayer reflects a heart that longs for what God Himself promises to fill, a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled, and He also said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. That truth is not an idea or a philosophy, it is a Person. Jesus is the truth, and apart from Him there is no lasting freedom.

It is right to pray as you have for those who are caught in deception. Scripture shows us that Satan is a liar and the father of lies, and he blinds minds to the truth. No amount of education or training in the law can make a person righteous or truthful. We can be zealous and learned and still be ignorant of the righteousness that God provides. The Bible teaches that righteousness does not come by keeping the law or by our own good works. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, and as Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness, so God counts faith in Jesus Christ for righteousness to all who trust in Him. He imputes the righteousness of Christ to us through faith in His blood.

You prayed from Psalm 51 and that is exactly what God looks for. He does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. There is a sorrow that is only feeling sorry for what we have done while we continue in it, and that leads to death. Godly sorrow works repentance, and repentance always means a change. It is a turning away from sin to hate it and to walk no longer in it. It is right to ask God to work on the heart in that way, to bring conviction that leads to a real turning.

We can pray this way with confidence because God is gracious and full of compassion, longsuffering and patient. He preserves the souls of His saints and delivers them, and light is sown for the righteous. His throne is founded on righteousness and judgment, and when Christ reigns He will judge the earth in righteousness and truth. Until then we groan and long for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we do not blame God for the evil and death that sin has brought into this world.

Continue in relentless prayer as you have. Truth is part of our defense against the lies of the enemy, and prayer is how that power is broken and eyes are opened. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth who guides into all truth and does not speak of Himself but testifies of Jesus. The Father sanctifies us through His truth, for His word is truth. As you pray, the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes, and God is able to bind the work of the enemy and open hearts to see and receive the provision God has made for sin through Jesus alone.

We join you in asking that God would cover those who are His with the blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding, and that He would stir the hearts of those who do not yet know Him, granting them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only He can satisfy, and bringing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May He teach us all to hate evil and love what is good, to walk in compassion and honesty, and to live for His glory as we wait for Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this relentless cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

We have continued to lift up before the Heavenly Father the team and their lawyers and legal representatives you mentioned, asking that Jesus would save those who are bound by Satan's lies and that the truth that shall set them free spoken of in John 8:32 would take hold in their hearts. We have prayed that the precious blood of Jesus would cover those who are His and give them peace and understanding, and that God would teach all involved to be righteous and compassionate and to turn from the horrible sins that grieve your heart and disregard human life and honest communication. We have asked Him to do as you prayed and work on their hearts to make them broken and contrite as we read in Psalm 51:17, a heart which God will not despise, and to stir in them the hunger and thirst for righteousness promised in Matt 5:6 so they will come to hate their sin and not continue to live a sinful life or do what is evil in His eyes. We join you in humbly acknowledging that we cannot expect the educated to always act righteously and that all have fallen short of His glory, and we thank Him that His Holy Spirit is interceding for us and for them.

If your request was answered and you have seen God stir hearts toward truth and righteousness and toward a hatred of sin, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the burden remains heavy, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord will continue to do His will in every heart involved and exalt the name of Jesus Christ in this situation. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
