RELENTLESS PRAYER FOR an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you before the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

We are encouraged by your humble and compassionate heart in this request. You are not boasting and you are not looking down on others, but you rightly recognize that education and position, even being learned in the law, does not make a person righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. We too grieve when human life is disregarded and when honest communication is abandoned, because our God is a God of truth and justice who hates dishonest scales, Proverbs 11:1.

We stand on the promise you quoted that you will know the truth and the truth will make you free, John 8:32. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that anyone can be saved, Acts 4:12, and we thank you for coming to the Father in Jesus name. We also cling to the beatitude that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. That is the very thirst you are praying for over this team and their lawyers and legal representatives.

We lift them up together and ask for the Lord to do a deep work in their hearts. We pray that the precious blood of Jesus would cover those who are His chosen and bring peace and understanding that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and that He would draw those who are still bound by Satan's lies out of darkness into His marvelous light, 1 Peter 2:9. We ask that God would give them a broken and contrite heart, for you rightly prayed from Psalm 51:16-17, For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We pray with you that the Lord would teach them to be righteous and compassionate and to hate their sin enough to turn from it, and that He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, Ezekiel 36:26. We remember also that to obey is better than sacrifice, 1 Samuel 15:22, and we ask that they would learn obedience to the Lord rather than continuing in what is evil in His eyes.

We thank the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26, and we trust that He is interceding for us and for them even now. We do not pray for vengeance but for salvation and transformation, that they would be forgiven and would no longer do what is evil, but would walk in truth and righteousness for His glory.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to pour out Your mercy on the team at the organization mentioned and on their lawyers and legal representatives. Save those who do not know You, forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and cover Your children among them with Your peace and wisdom. Break and soften hard hearts, create in them clean hearts and renew a right spirit within them, Psalm 51:10. Stir them, Lord, to hunger and thirst for truth and righteousness and let them find fullness in You alone. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10, and let Your name be exalted. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear the burden in your prayer for truth and righteousness to prevail, and for hearts to be softened. It is painful to watch honesty and respect for human life feel disregarded, especially when it involves people in positions of trust like legal teams, and we are grateful you are bringing that grief directly to the Father in Jesus' name.

We join you in asking for His covering over those who are vulnerable, and for His work in the hearts of those you mentioned, that they would come to see what is true and turn from what is harmful. Praying this way for others, even those who have caused hurt, is a faithful and often wearying kind of intercession.

One thing that helps many who carry this kind of concern is understanding that the decision to release a wrong to God and the quieting of the hurt inside often move at different paces. You can choose before God to let go of revenge and to desire what is right for the other person, while still needing time for resentment and sorrow to ease as you keep bringing it to Him. If those feelings rise again, it does not mean your prayer has failed.

We will continue to stand with you for that unquenchable thirst for what is true and right to grow, and for your own peace as you wait on the Lord.

Father, we lift this burden to You in Jesus' name. Cover those who need Your protection with Your peace and wisdom, work in the hearts of those who have acted unjustly to bring conviction and a love for truth, and guard our friend's heart from weariness. Let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and needful prayer, and we join with you in it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have prayed according to the Scripture which says, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the true sacrifice which God accepts, not outward forms or learned arguments, but a heart humbled before Him. We ask with you that the Lord would work such a heart in those for whom you intercede, the team and their lawyers and all who are concerned, that they may not rest in a superficial repentance which only affects the surface of the man and is hardly more than skin deep, a repentance that springs alone from terror and withers as quickly as it appears, but that they may receive that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit.

For judgments and terrors alone can never work evangelical repentance in a single human heart. Law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone, it is a sense of blood bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. True repentance gives God glory, it makes the sinner loathe sin because it is hateful to the heart of Jesus, and it sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness. It is a repentance unto life, practical, yielding works meet for repentance, lasting and growing continually, not a transient feeling but a lifelong act.

We pray therefore that God would grant repentance as His own gift in the name of Jesus Christ. You are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of your own heart as you might draw water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance by His Holy Spirit through belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word of God. For Jesus lives to give repentance and remission of sins, and He lives to make intercession for transgressors. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance we preach is one connected with faith, the repentance which purges the soul from dead works and the faith which fills the soul with living works, the repentance which pulls down and the faith which builds up on Christ the sole Master of the heart.

You have rightly observed that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous, for the demand for a change of heart is absolutely necessary. The goodness of God is meant to lead men to repentance, and He delights in mercy and His mercy endures forever. We pray that His goodness and His holiness may prick the heart, for a saving impression is always a prick in the heart, painful yet operative, causing the soul to cry, what must we do, and to turn with earnest inquiry to Christ.

We pray that the Lord Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness, who is the center and King of all truth, would shine His light into every dark place, that lies may be scattered and truth loved, that human life may be honored and honest communication restored, and that those who are His may be covered by His precious blood and kept in peace and understanding, learning to be righteous and compassionate as He is.

May the Lord grant to you perseverance in this relentless prayer, and may He grant to those for whom you pray that broken and contrite spirit which He will not despise, and that faith which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only, that they may hate sin, forsake it, and thirst henceforth for truth and righteousness for His glory. We ask this trusting not in our own pleading but in the intercession of the Holy Spirit and the finished work of Christ, that the will of our heavenly Father may be done. Amen.
