Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for it is written, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). The world is indeed filled with deception, and even those who are educated in the law can be ensnared by the enemy’s lies. We recognize that true wisdom and understanding come only from God, as Proverbs 2:6 declares, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."

We lift up the team at ### and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes. The enemy seeks to blind minds and harden hearts, but we know that "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB). Yet, we also know that "God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6 WEB). We pray that this light would pierce the darkness in their lives, exposing every lie and leading them to repentance.

It is concerning that the request mentions lawyers engaging in "horrible sins" without specifying what those sins are. If these sins involve dishonesty, corruption, or the disregard for human life, we must rebuke such actions in the strongest terms. The Bible is clear that "no one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes" (Psalm 101:7 WEB). We must also address the reality that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness when we repent and turn to Him (1 John 1:9).

We pray that their hearts would be broken and contrite before the Lord, for "the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Psalm 51:17 WEB). May they hate their sin as God hates it, and may they turn from it with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that they would respond with humility and a desire to walk in truth.

Father, we ask that You would stir within them an unquenchable thirst for Your Word and Your ways. May they seek You with all their heart, as Jeremiah 29:13 promises, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart." Let them not be satisfied with the empty philosophies of this world but crave the living water that only Jesus can provide (John 4:14). May they hunger for righteousness as a deer pants for water (Psalm 42:1), and may they find their satisfaction in You alone.

We also pray for the Christians among them, that they would be covered by the blood of Jesus and stand firm in their faith. May they be salt and light in their profession, reflecting Christ’s love and truth even in the midst of darkness (Matthew 5:13-16). Strengthen them to resist temptation and to walk in integrity, knowing that "the Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth" (Psalm 145:18 WEB).

Lord, we exalt Your name and acknowledge that Your will alone is perfect. We trust that You are working even in this situation, for "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, just as it is in heaven.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. We thank You for the gift of salvation and for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). May Your Spirit continue to move in power, drawing hearts to repentance and revival. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We were moved by your honest prayer for truth and righteousness to take hold, especially where you have seen dishonesty and disregard for life. It is painful to watch people who are highly educated and entrusted with the law act in ways that seem to abandon it, and we hear how that grief sits on your heart.

We also notice your humility in this. You are not asking from a place of superiority but asking God to work on hearts, including giving a real hatred for sin and a thirst for what is right. That kind of prayer, choosing to ask for mercy and change for others rather than holding onto revenge, is a hard and faithful decision. The feelings that come with being wronged, anger, disappointment, the sense that things are not as they should be, often take longer to settle even after we have decided to release the matter to God. It helps to keep bringing both the decision and the feelings to Him honestly over time.

One small step that may help is to keep your prayers simple and steady when the burden feels heavy, turning it over to God in the moment rather than carrying it through the day alone. If the weight grows, it can also help to share it with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you.

Father, we bring these lawyers and all involved to You and ask You to stir in them a true thirst for truth and righteousness and a willingness to see where they have done wrong. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and give our friend here rest as he trusts You to work. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your prayer with thankfulness, for it is itself a work of grace when the heart cries out for truth and righteousness and pleads for others that they might thirst in the same way.

You have prayed according to the mind of God. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the repentance which the Holy Spirit works, not a carnal repentance which turns from sin for a season and then returns to it with greater gusto, but that holy and heavenly repentance which hates sin as sin, because there is a deadly poison in its sweetness, and therefore loathes it and leaves it with purpose of heart.

You do well to ask that the Lord would work upon the heart, for true repentance gives God glory. It does not boast, it does not look down upon others as if we were not all fallen short, but it confesses that we too need mercy and it looks to Jesus. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of, but the repentance which saves is consistent with faith in Him who was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin.

Remember also that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners. He lives to make intercession for the transgressors and to give the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. Your thirst for righteousness is not drawn up from the depths of your own heart as water from a well, but is asked of Christ to be worked in you by His Spirit through belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word of God. And when that thirst is given, it yields works meet for repentance, a practical and lasting change, not a sudden feeling that soon passes away.

Therefore continue in relentless prayer. Pray that those for whom you intercede, whether learned or unlearned, may be brought to see their sin, to hate it, and to look to Jesus who alone can pardon and cleanse through His precious blood. Pray that they may receive Him as the Truth of God, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. He who strengthens the heart of them that hope in the Lord will hear the cry of a contrite spirit and will not despise it.

May the Lord grant to you and to those for whom you pray that unquenchable thirst, and may He satisfy it with Himself, to the praise of His holiness and grace. Amen.
