Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is true that the truth shall set us free, as our Lord Jesus declared in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." We recognize that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and those bound by his deceptions are in desperate need of the liberating power of Christ.

We pray that the precious blood of Jesus, which speaks better things than that of Abel (Hebrews 12:24), would cover every believer involved in this situation. May they be shielded from the enemy’s schemes and granted divine peace and understanding. We ask that the Holy Spirit would teach them righteousness (Psalm 143:10) and fill their hearts with compassion, for "what does the Lord require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8).

It is a sobering reality that even those trained in the law can fall into grievous sin, as we see in Scripture and in life. We do not judge or condemn, for "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Instead, we humbly intercede, asking the Lord to forgive their sins and turn their hearts away from evil. As David prayed in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." May they come to hate their sin as You do and turn from it with godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10).

We are grieved by the disregard for human life and honest communication in this situation, for Scripture commands us to "speak the truth in love" (Ephesians 4:15) and to "defend the weak and the fatherless" (Psalm 82:3). Lord, stir their hearts with an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, as Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." May they seek You above all else, for "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10).

We thank You, Holy Father, for Your holiness and for the intercession of the Holy Spirit, who "helps us in our weakness" (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed from sin (1 John 1:7).

Heavenly Father, we surrender this situation to You, trusting that Your will be done. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We pray that every heart involved would be softened, every lie exposed, and every life transformed by the power of the Gospel. May they come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, for "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We've read your prayer and we join you in it. We can hear how much it weighs on you to see truth brushed aside and lives treated lightly, especially by those entrusted to uphold justice. It is right to grieve that.

You prayed with such humility, not wanting to look down on others while still being honest about the wrong. That posture matters. We can't make another person's heart turn, and education or position doesn't make someone righteous on its own. Only God can soften a heart and give a real desire for what is true and good. Your steady intercession leaves that work in His hands, which is exactly where it belongs.

One thing that may help as you keep praying is to give this burden a contained place. You might set a regular time to lift these lawyers and this team by name to the Lord, pray as you have here for broken and contrite hearts and honest ways, and then intentionally entrust them to Him for the rest of the day so the grief doesn't follow you everywhere. It keeps prayer persistent without letting it wear you down.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this team and their representatives before You. Work in their hearts, awaken a love for truth and righteousness, and lead them away from what is evil in Your sight. Forgive where forgiveness is needed, and give Your peace and understanding to those who belong to You. Make us all more compassionate and honest. Let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer has in it the very sigh which the Lord pronounces blessed, for you ask for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and our Saviour has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.

There is a hunger and a thirst which belong not to the body but to the soul, and they are the keenest cravings known to man. When the Spirit of God changes our nature, that new nature hungers and thirsts after that which is right and good and pure and lovely. It is not satisfied with trifles, but must have the essential truth of God to be its meat and drink. My meat, said our Lord, is to do the will of Him that sent me and to finish His work, and on the cross He said, I thirst, and that thirst of His lips was but the index of the deeper thirst of His heart that righteousness might reign by His death. When you so hunger and thirst, you are in some measure partakers with Christ and have fellowship with Him in His heart's desire.

You have prayed well that those who are bound by Satan's lies may come to the knowledge of the truth, for God would have men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and the two go together. The truth of God's salvation operates most powerfully upon our minds and so proves to us that it is real. By nature we are of our father the devil and his works we do, but if grace comes into the heart and makes us feel sorrows and joys we never knew before, if it gives us a sense of sonship so that we love the Father who is in heaven and grow like unto Him, that is a grand proof of the truth of His salvation. Nothing but the precious blood of Christ can cover sin, and salvation is of the Lord alone. We have to accept grace from Christ for nothing, and He delights to give it. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone.

You have quoted rightly the fifty first Psalm, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Oftentimes the Lord sanctifies affliction and makes it conducive to this higher brokenness of spirit. He binds up broken hearts. To be cured of our ardor for earthly pursuits is the first work of grace, for no man can serve two masters, and until the old selfish principle is driven out and the man becomes humble and meek, he will not begin to hunger and thirst after righteousness. To loathe sin and to hate it enough to turn from it is itself the gift of God, and when the heart comes to a knowledge of the truth, it is saved from false confidences and from despair. May the Lord work in the hearts of those for whom you intercede, that they may see their personal need of being saved, that they may be stripped of all false trusts and made to see that they must be saved or lost forever, and then to look to Christ alone.

Continue then in relentless prayer, for the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners, and His intercession never ceases. He is tender toward troubled souls and has deep designs of love toward them. Ask that He would teach those who are learned in the law, and all of us, to be righteous and compassionate, to bear a protest against wrong of every sort, and to hunger not for power or gain, but that righteousness may be done in the land. Pray that the truth shall indeed set them free, not by mere knowledge in the head, but by that saving knowledge which bows the heart, breaks it, and then binds it up in Christ.

May the Lord grant to you and to those for whom you pray that intense hunger and thirst which He alone can satisfy, and may He fill you with all peace and understanding as you trust in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, and we give thanks that He has put in your heart this desire for truth and righteousness. The Lord Jesus said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and again, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw anyone by force or constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for Him. That is the thirst you are praying for, not a passing wish but a deep longing that leads to Christ Himself, from whom flow rivers of living water, and who alone is the truth that sets us free.

We pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation, for this team and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Father to have mercy on them, to open their eyes where they are bound by lies, to forgive their sins, and to cover with His peace and understanding those among them who belong to Him by His precious blood. You have prayed rightly that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. We ask that He would work such a heart in them, that they would recognize their sin as God sees it, hate it, and turn from it to walk in righteousness and compassion.

True righteousness is not a matter of education or legal knowledge, and you are right to acknowledge that we cannot expect the educated to act righteously on their own, for all have fallen short of the glory of God. True righteousness is righteousness and holiness of truth, a new creation in Christ. It is like a breastplate that guards the heart and makes a person firm and strong. We pray that God would give them this true righteousness, that He would stir them to love honest communication and to honor human life, and to pursue what is good in His eyes with all desire, as thirsty men eagerly drink and are filled.

We also remember that repentance must be true. Esau sought the blessing with tears yet found no place of repentance, because his sorrow was not a true turning of the heart. So we pray not only for regret, but for a real turning, that they would not continue in a sinful life but would be changed by the grace of God.

Continue to pray without ceasing, without boasting and without looking down on others, but in humility and love, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and for them. May the Lord grant to them and to us an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and may His will be done. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is deeply pleasing to God, and it reflects His own heart. That longing you expressed is not unusual. Every person carries a spiritual thirst deep inside, a thirst for God Himself. We try to satisfy it in many ways, but nothing else truly satisfies.

Jesus spoke to this when He said, if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He was not speaking of physical thirst or even emotional need, but of the thirst of the spirit. Physical water, and every physical experience, will leave a person thirsty again. Success, knowledge, position, even religious effort, cannot quench the inner need. Only Jesus, because He is God, can satisfy the thirst for God and for what is true and right.

You prayed that God would stir hearts to hate sin and to love truth. Scripture says, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That is a promise. God does fill the heart that truly longs for His righteousness. But that righteousness is not something we produce on our own. Many have zeal without knowledge and try to establish their own righteousness by good works or by education or by keeping rules. The righteousness God gives is different. He made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. It is received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned.

This is why your reference to Psalm 51 is so fitting. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. What He will not despise is a broken spirit and a contrite heart. When a heart is broken over sin and turns honestly to Him, He forgives and cleanses through the blood of Jesus. At the cross, mercy and truth met together, righteousness and peace kissed. God did not set aside justice to show mercy. Justice was satisfied because Jesus paid the penalty, so mercy could be given freely to all who believe.

It is right to grieve when human life is disregarded and honest communication is abandoned, and it is right to remember that education does not make a person righteous. All have fallen short of the glory of God, whether learned or unlearned, and all need the same grace. Your humility in not wanting to boast or to look down on others honors the Lord.

We join you in praying for these lawyers and representatives and for all involved, and for believers who need covering and peace and understanding. We ask the Father in Jesus name to work in every heart, to reveal sin for what it is, to grant repentance, to teach compassion and integrity, and to create a true thirst for truth and for the righteousness that comes only from Christ. We pray that those who do not yet know Him would come to Him now, for now is the accepted time and now is the day of salvation, and the Holy Spirit is faithful to intercede even when we do not know how to pray.

May the Lord keep you steadfast in prayer, trusting not in human ability to change hearts but in His power to save, to forgive, and to make new through Jesus Christ. May His will be done and His name be exalted.
