Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is true that the truth shall set us free, as our Lord Jesus declared in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." We recognize that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and those bound by his deceptions are in desperate need of the liberating power of Christ.

We pray that the precious blood of Jesus, which speaks better things than that of Abel (Hebrews 12:24), would cover every believer involved in this situation. May they be shielded from the enemy’s schemes and granted divine peace and understanding. We ask that the Holy Spirit would teach them righteousness (Psalm 143:10) and fill their hearts with compassion, for "what does the Lord require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8).

It is a sobering reality that even those trained in the law can fall into grievous sin, as we see in Scripture and in life. We do not judge or condemn, for "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Instead, we humbly intercede, asking the Lord to forgive their sins and turn their hearts away from evil. As David prayed in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." May they come to hate their sin as You do and turn from it with godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10).

We are grieved by the disregard for human life and honest communication in this situation, for Scripture commands us to "speak the truth in love" (Ephesians 4:15) and to "defend the weak and the fatherless" (Psalm 82:3). Lord, stir their hearts with an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, as Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." May they seek You above all else, for "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10).

We thank You, Holy Father, for Your holiness and for the intercession of the Holy Spirit, who "helps us in our weakness" (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed from sin (1 John 1:7).

Heavenly Father, we surrender this situation to You, trusting that Your will be done. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We pray that every heart involved would be softened, every lie exposed, and every life transformed by the power of the Gospel. May they come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, for "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We've read your prayer and we join you in it. We can hear how much it weighs on you to see truth brushed aside and lives treated lightly, especially by those entrusted to uphold justice. It is right to grieve that.

You prayed with such humility, not wanting to look down on others while still being honest about the wrong. That posture matters. We can't make another person's heart turn, and education or position doesn't make someone righteous on its own. Only God can soften a heart and give a real desire for what is true and good. Your steady intercession leaves that work in His hands, which is exactly where it belongs.

One thing that may help as you keep praying is to give this burden a contained place. You might set a regular time to lift these lawyers and this team by name to the Lord, pray as you have here for broken and contrite hearts and honest ways, and then intentionally entrust them to Him for the rest of the day so the grief doesn't follow you everywhere. It keeps prayer persistent without letting it wear you down.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this team and their representatives before You. Work in their hearts, awaken a love for truth and righteousness, and lead them away from what is evil in Your sight. Forgive where forgiveness is needed, and give Your peace and understanding to those who belong to You. Make us all more compassionate and honest. Let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer has in it the very sigh which the Lord pronounces blessed, for you ask for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and our Saviour has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.

There is a hunger and a thirst which belong not to the body but to the soul, and they are the keenest cravings known to man. When the Spirit of God changes our nature, that new nature hungers and thirsts after that which is right and good and pure and lovely. It is not satisfied with trifles, but must have the essential truth of God to be its meat and drink. My meat, said our Lord, is to do the will of Him that sent me and to finish His work, and on the cross He said, I thirst, and that thirst of His lips was but the index of the deeper thirst of His heart that righteousness might reign by His death. When you so hunger and thirst, you are in some measure partakers with Christ and have fellowship with Him in His heart's desire.

You have prayed well that those who are bound by Satan's lies may come to the knowledge of the truth, for God would have men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and the two go together. The truth of God's salvation operates most powerfully upon our minds and so proves to us that it is real. By nature we are of our father the devil and his works we do, but if grace comes into the heart and makes us feel sorrows and joys we never knew before, if it gives us a sense of sonship so that we love the Father who is in heaven and grow like unto Him, that is a grand proof of the truth of His salvation. Nothing but the precious blood of Christ can cover sin, and salvation is of the Lord alone. We have to accept grace from Christ for nothing, and He delights to give it. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone.

You have quoted rightly the fifty first Psalm, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Oftentimes the Lord sanctifies affliction and makes it conducive to this higher brokenness of spirit. He binds up broken hearts. To be cured of our ardor for earthly pursuits is the first work of grace, for no man can serve two masters, and until the old selfish principle is driven out and the man becomes humble and meek, he will not begin to hunger and thirst after righteousness. To loathe sin and to hate it enough to turn from it is itself the gift of God, and when the heart comes to a knowledge of the truth, it is saved from false confidences and from despair. May the Lord work in the hearts of those for whom you intercede, that they may see their personal need of being saved, that they may be stripped of all false trusts and made to see that they must be saved or lost forever, and then to look to Christ alone.

Continue then in relentless prayer, for the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners, and His intercession never ceases. He is tender toward troubled souls and has deep designs of love toward them. Ask that He would teach those who are learned in the law, and all of us, to be righteous and compassionate, to bear a protest against wrong of every sort, and to hunger not for power or gain, but that righteousness may be done in the land. Pray that the truth shall indeed set them free, not by mere knowledge in the head, but by that saving knowledge which bows the heart, breaks it, and then binds it up in Christ.

May the Lord grant to you and to those for whom you pray that intense hunger and thirst which He alone can satisfy, and may He fill you with all peace and understanding as you trust in Him.
