Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for we know that only in Christ are these found in their fullness. Jesus Himself declared, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). This hunger is not of the flesh but of the spirit, a deep longing for the things of God that only He can satisfy.

We lift up the team at ### and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes. The enemy seeks to blind minds to the truth of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every chain of lies. The blood of Christ has power to cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we plead that blood over them now. May they encounter the living God in a way that shatters their reliance on worldly wisdom and exposes the emptiness of sin.

It is a sobering truth that even those trained in the law can become instruments of injustice when they reject God’s law. As it is written, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12 WEB). We do not judge them, for we too are sinners saved by grace, but we boldly declare that apart from Christ, there is no true righteousness. Their education, their positions, their arguments, none of these can justify them before a holy God. Only repentance and faith in Jesus can save.

We rebuke the spirit of pride that blinds them to their need for a Savior. The Lord resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). We pray that their hearts would be broken over their sin, not in despair, but in godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). May they hate their sin as much as God does and turn from it with all their hearts.

Father, we ask that You stir within them a hunger for Your Word, a longing to know You as You truly are. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). May they be convicted by the Holy Spirit, not just of their actions, but of the condition of their hearts. Give them a thirst that can only be quenched by the living water of Christ (John 4:14). Let them see the futility of their ways and the beauty of Your holiness.

We also pray for the Christians among them, that they would stand firm in the faith, not compromising with the world’s standards. Strengthen them to be salt and light in their spheres of influence (Matthew 5:13-16). May they walk in the fear of the Lord, not the fear of man, and may their lives be a testimony to the transforming power of the gospel.

Lord, we acknowledge that Your will is perfect, and we submit to it. If it is Your will, bring these individuals to repentance and faith. If they continue in hardness of heart, may Your justice prevail, but let it be tempered with mercy. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you intercede for this team and their lawyers. It is disheartening when education and position do not lead to honesty and compassion, and we join you in grieving the ways truth has been disregarded.

We appreciate your humble posture in this prayer. You are not asking to look down on anyone, but asking God to do what only He can do, to soften hearts so that wrong is recognized for what it is and turned from, and to give a real thirst for what is right and true. That kind of change is a work of the heart, and we are encouraged that you are entrusting it to Him rather than trying to force it yourself.

One thing that may help as you keep praying is to give this burden a steady place and then a resting place each day. Bring these names before the Lord at a set time, ask for His will and His mercy over them, and then consciously leave the outcome in His hands. It can keep relentless prayer from becoming a relentless weight on you, and keep your own heart guarded in peace as the Holy Spirit continues to intercede.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this team and their representatives to You and we lift our friend praying for them. Work in every heart involved, bring conviction where it is needed and a deep desire for truth and righteousness, cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a sign of grace at work, for it is God who puts such hunger into the heart. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that hunger is never satisfied with the husks of this world but only with Christ himself.

You have prayed well in quoting that the truth shall make you free, and the Scripture shows us that men are saved and come to the knowledge of the truth together. There is no salvation apart from knowing the truth as it is in Jesus. Salvation is not in man, nor in ceremonies, nor in learning, nor in the wisdom of lawyers, but in the precious blood of Christ alone, who was nailed to the cross for sinners. When the heart comes to know this truth, that Christ is both very God and very man and that He has offered a real atonement for real sinners, then it is saved from despair and from false confidences. You who feel your sin and theirs, you are the very ones for whom there is truth in God's salvation.

You ask rightly that God would work upon their hearts to give them a broken and contrite spirit, which He will not despise. Take care to know what true repentance is. There is a repentance which is not better than the flesh and which God abhors, a superficial sorrow that soon returns to its sin. But true repentance hates sin as sin, loathes its sweetness because it has found deadly poison in it, and turns from it with purpose of heart. Such repentance gives God glory, for it stands at the cross and sees sin forgiven and then grieves more than ever that it should have wounded Christ. It is the repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant that Christ himself may enter and reign as sole master of the heart. Pray then not only that these souls may be sorry, but that they may have that dove eyed repentance which looks at His bleeding wounds and feels that the heart must bleed because it wounded Him.

Be encouraged that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. He lives to make intercession for transgressors and to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. He could not pass by a sorrow stricken heart when He was upon earth, and He is the same now. He binds up broken hearts, even those most despised and most hardened, and is mighty to save and to do for them what they cannot do for themselves. There is joy in the heart of God himself over every sinner's repentance, and He is able to break the gods of gold and of pride and of self righteousness that keep men from looking to the living God.

So let us join you in prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus. May the Lord cover with His blood those who are His, and keep them in peace and understanding. May He stir the hearts of those at that place and their lawyers and representatives who are yet bound by Satan's lies, and grant them to see their sin as God sees it, to hate it and to forsake it. May He give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only He can satisfy, teaching them to be righteous and compassionate and to love honest communication and regard for human life. May He grant them a whole heart to give to Him, for a divided heart is no heart at all, and may they open the door to Christ and receive Him by faith to become the sons of God.

Continue steadfast in this intercession, for the Lord preserves the faithful and He shall strengthen your heart as you hope in Him. Trust, and the work is done, and you shall know the truth of His salvation more and more. Let your will be done, O Lord, and let Christ be exalted on high. Amen.
