Father God you are the one who saves. It is only through your power that the disease of alcoholism can truly be destroyed. I pray God for this man who is trapped in this disease. I ask you God to place the desire in his heart to get sober. Please free him from the bondage of self and open his eyes to the freedom you have to offer him. Please give him a taste of the serenity that can be found in sobriety. Give him a steadfast mind and a willingness to try a new way without alcohol.
