Beloved of All
Lord, please open the way for ### to move here within the next couple of months. Guide our relationship toward a loving, committed marriage, if it is Your will. Surround me with people who have genuine intentions, protect my heart, and keep my circle small, peaceful, and sincere. Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing for companionship and the desire for a godly marriage, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will in this matter. First, we must address the foundation of your prayer, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His authority that we pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Now, regarding your request, we affirm your desire for a loving, committed marriage, as the Lord designed marriage to be a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). However, we must gently rebuke any assumption that the relationship you are in is already aligned with God’s will simply because you are praying about it. Courtship should always be pursued with the intention of marriage, and both individuals must be believers who share a commitment to Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is not the case, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and consider whether this relationship is truly of Him.

We also caution against placing your hope in a specific timeline or outcome, as the Lord’s ways and timing are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead, we encourage you to trust in His perfect plan, whether that includes marriage or another path He has for you. Guard your heart diligently (Proverbs 4:23), for it is the wellspring of life, and surround yourself with godly counsel (Proverbs 11:14) who will speak truth into your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your will for their life and relationships. Lord, we ask that You would open doors according to Your perfect plan, not our own desires. If it is Your will for ### to move here, we pray that You would make the way clear, removing every obstacle and aligning circumstances in Your timing. If this relationship is of You, we ask that You would strengthen it with godly love, purity, and a shared commitment to Christ. If it is not, we pray that You would close the door gently and lead this one into Your best for their life.

Father, protect their heart from deception, loneliness, or impatience. Surround them with people who will encourage them in faith, speak truth in love, and point them toward You. Keep their circle small, peaceful, and sincere, free from those who would lead them astray. Lord, we ask that You would cultivate in them a deep trust in Your timing and a willingness to surrender their desires to You. May they seek You above all else, knowing that in You, they lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or desperation that would drive them away from Your will. Instead, fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to walk in purity, honoring You with their body and their heart (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If there has been any sexual immorality in this relationship, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9), and we pray for the strength to walk in holiness moving forward.

Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Whether You lead them into marriage or another season of singleness, may they find their ultimate fulfillment in You. Teach them to delight in You, and we pray that You would give them the desires of their heart as they commit their way to You (Psalm 37:4-5).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how much you want this path to become clear, and we are glad you brought it to prayer. Wanting a loving, committed marriage is good, and asking God to guide it is right. In the next couple of months, the practical details of a move can stir up both excitement and stress. One thing that may serve you both is to have a few honest conversations now about what daily life would actually look like: work, housing, church, finances, and how you handle conflict from a distance. Watching how those conversations go over time will give you real, grounded clarity while you wait on God.

We also hear the wisdom in wanting a small, sincere circle. As you pray about that, consider identifying two or three spiritually mature people who know you well and feel safe enough to ask hard questions. Let them speak into what they observe, not just what you hope they will see. That kind of honesty protects a heart without isolating it.

Father, thank You for this person’s desire for a marriage that honors You. We ask You to order the steps around this possible move in Your timing. Give wisdom, patience, and clear eyes to see what is real. Guard this heart from confusion and from people whose intentions are not genuine. Bring mature, peaceful people around them who will love them enough to tell the truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your prayer rightly says, if it is Your will. Now prove that you mean those words. The will of God is not a hidden thing where His commands have already spoken. If the one you desire is not trusting in Jesus Christ alone, no prayer can turn that union into a godly marriage, for a believer is to marry only in the Lord. If the moving within two months means sharing a home before the marriage covenant is made, that is not the King’s Highway, and you cannot claim the protection promised to those who walk in His appointed ways.

Make sure the first marriage is settled in your own soul, that you are married to Christ, joined to the Lamb. Then you may say in truth, whatever He says unto you, do it. I would rather hear you pray, Lord, let me know the very worst of my case, than ask only for an open door and pleasant companions. A small, peaceful circle may be a mercy, but it is no substitute for a sincere heart before God. Wait on Him, lean not on your own understanding, and let the Lord either establish this affection in His own way or remove it from you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for a loving and committed marriage according to the will of God is heard, and it is good to bring this desire before Him. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, honorable and pure, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. It is not holiness itself, but it preserves holiness when it is lived in faith, in chastity and order, with each belonging only to the other.

We join you in asking the Lord to guide this relationship with wisdom and clarity. If it is His will for this person to move and for your lives to be joined, pray that He would open the way in a manner that keeps you both pure and at peace. If it is not His will, pray that He would close the door gently and protect your heart from confusion. Remember that living together and the union of bodies belongs only within marriage. Use this time of waiting not for hasty steps, but for prayer, for growth in virtue, and for seeking counsel that is grounded in godliness. As Scripture says, follow peace with all men and holiness, which means to live in a chaste and orderly way, whether unmarried in purity or married in faithfulness to one another.

You also ask for a small, peaceful and sincere circle, and this is wise. True friendship is not formed only from long acquaintance, common interest or nearness, but above all upon godliness. Ask God to surround you with people of genuine intentions, reverent men and women who will speak truth, encourage chasteness and gravity, and help you discern His will. Keep your heart guarded, and keep your fellowship shaped by those who love Christ.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation. We ask for Your will to be done in this relationship. Grant wisdom, purity and patience to both persons. If this is the marriage You have prepared, establish it on faith and love and lead it toward a lifelong covenant as You designed. If not, give peace to accept Your direction. Protect this heart from what would defile or deceive, and surround this life with faithful friends who walk in sincerity and peace. Make this time fruitful for prayer and good works, and help all decisions to honor You. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
