Relationship

It is a beautiful thing when you bring your deepest hopes to the Father and immediately add, “if it is Your will.” That is the very posture Jesus modeled in the garden: “Not what I will, but what You will.” True victory begins not by wrestling for things to work out according to our designs, but by surrendering the situation entirely into the Lord’s hands.

You remember the leper who knelt before Jesus, breaking every convention to say, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” He did not presume; he simply cast himself on the character of Christ. And Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and said, “I am willing; be clean.” So it is right to bring your request for your daughter and this man, asking God to open a door and guide their steps toward a faithful marriage. Yet the peace that passes understanding settles over us when we rest in His willingness, trusting that His will, not ours, is what we truly need.

The timing of God is never rushed. Jesus himself would not permit a premature move to force him into the role of Messiah before the appointed day. He knew the Father’s calendar perfectly. Pray that the Lord directs every detail, including any relocation, in His own season. Do not lean on your own strategies; instead, lean into sustained prayer. If the Son of God saw the necessity of rising early to commune with the Father, how much more must we remain constant in seeking His face about these things.

Allow your heart to stay as a new wineskin, supple and pliable, so that the Spirit can work outside any rigid expectations you might hold. Sometimes we think a relationship must follow a certain pattern, but God often moves in surprising ways. Keep your ear tuned to His voice, and He will give you clarity.

Whatever you do, do not fear. As you genuinely will to obey whatever He shows you, He will supply the power to follow through. Surrender it all over again today. Trust that the One who is the bridegroom of the church knows exactly how to lead a man and a woman into a covenant that reflects His faithful love.
