We hear your heart’s cry for restoration and peace in what you describe as your relationship, and we come before the throne of grace together, seeking the Lord’s will in this matter. First, we must address some foundational truths from Scripture, for the Word of God is our guide and our light in all things.
You mention a desire to "fix" your relationship with your girlfriend, but we must gently yet firmly remind you that the Bible does not endorse dating or courtship outside the covenant of marriage. The relationship you describe, as it stands, is not aligned with God’s design. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, established by God for His glory and our good (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you and your girlfriend are not married, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship is honoring to the Lord. If your intention is to pursue marriage, then we urge you to do so with godly wisdom, purity, and a commitment to Christ at the center.
