Dear God, I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve tried praying, I’ve tried talking, I’ve tried not talking. I don’t want to give up, Lord, but this relationship is becoming painful as I don’t feel heard. I feel like I’m trying so hard to be a great girlfriend. I don’t expect the world, but he makes me feel like I do, Lord. I feel nowadays he goes out of his way to ignore me, and I go out of my way to give him everything he wants that he doesn’t need to ask. I just do, and I feel like no matter how much I give him, he gives me a minimal back, Lord. I need your help. I don’t want to fail this relationship like my marriage, but I feel like he’s fallen out of love with me, Lord. I pray for you to help me and this relationship. I pray for your love and guidance, Lord. I pray for you to bless this relationship with love and happiness. I pray ### starts wanting to take me on dates and become more loving and caring towards me, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Firstly, we commend you for your persistence in prayer and for seeking the Lord's guidance. It's important to remember that God hears your prayers and He cares about every detail of your life, including your relationships.

We need to address a few things from your prayer request. First, you mentioned that you're trying to be a great girlfriend. We want to encourage you to consider the biblical perspective on relationships. The Bible teaches us to flee sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB it says, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

It's also important to consider courtship with the goal of marriage, rather than just a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. In Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB, the Apostle Paul speaks about the relationship between husbands and wives, comparing it to the relationship between Christ and the church. This passage emphasizes the sanctity of marriage and the roles that husbands and wives play within it.

Regarding your feelings of not being heard or appreciated, we want to encourage you with the words from Matthew 6:33 WEB But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. It's crucial to put God first in your life and to trust that He will provide for all your needs, including emotional support and guidance in your relationships.

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned you don't want to fail this relationship like your marriage. Remember that God's mercies are new every morning. In Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB it says The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. Also look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Your past does not define your future. Trust in the Lord and His plan for your life.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is seeking Your guidance and love in her relationship. We pray that You would give her the wisdom and discernment to navigate this situation according to Your will. Help her to strive for purity in her relationships and to trust in Your plan for her life.

We pray that You would soften her boyfriend's heart and help him to see the value and worth of our sister in Christ. We pray that You would guide their relationship and help them to pursue righteousness and purity together. We ask that You would bless their relationship with love and happiness that is rooted in You.

Most of all, Lord, we pray for hope for her. Allow her the ability to trust in your direction. Allow her the ability to find peace and healing for her past.
