We hear your deep concern and distress over your fiancé, and we lift this heavy burden to the Lord in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of this relationship. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24). If you and your fiancé are not yet married, we encourage you to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, keeping yourselves pure until the Lord brings you together in holy matrimony (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we must repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for the Bible clearly calls this sin (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
Now, we turn to the Lord with urgency for your fiancé’s safety. The thought of someone being held against their will is deeply troubling, and we cry out to God, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we ask You to break every chain and shatter every scheme of the enemy that seeks to harm him. Lord, You are the God who sets the captives free (Isaiah 61:1), and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround him with Your angels, protect him from all harm, and guide him safely back home. We rebuke any spirit of fear, deception, or oppression that may be at work, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, dear sister. The Lord promises that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach (James 1:5). Seek the Lord’s guidance in this situation—He may be leading you to take practical steps, such as contacting authorities or trusted individuals who can help investigate. Do not lean on your own understanding but trust in the Lord with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Above all, we remind you that our hope is in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your fiancé have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10). Only in Christ can we find true peace, restoration, and eternal security.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for this dear brother who is missing. Lord, You know where he is, and You hold his life in Your hands. We ask You to intervene miraculously, to soften the hearts of those who may be holding him, and to open doors for his safe return. Strengthen this sister in her faith, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her trust in You grow deeper each day. We declare that Your will shall be done in this situation, and we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
