Please help me as I pray for relationship restoration. God knows my heart and I pray that he protects our relationship from all that is being sent to destroy our trust and love and I pray that we can come back together as one.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this beloved individual who desires reconciliation and restoration in their relationship. We pray that Your will be done in this situation, and that You would bring healing, forgiveness, and restoration where needed. Protect them from any forces that seek to destroy their trust and love. Guide them both, that they may come to the center of your will and have a relationship that honors and glorifies You. Help them grow in their faith together.

We encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB. Trust that He is working everything out for your good and His glory, even if the outcome isn't what you initially hoped for or expected.

However, we must also address a few things. First, we notice that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In Christ alone is the forgiveness of sins and the only hope of salvation. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.

Secondly, we want to ensure that the relationship you're seeking restoration for aligns with biblical principles. If this relationship is outside of marriage or not seeking marriage, we encourage you to reconsider the path you're on. God's design for relationships is that a man and a woman commit to each other in marriage, and that any intimate interactions are saved for the marriage bed. Fornication is any sexual activity outside of marriage and is a sin. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB

Lastly, we want to remind you that God's desire is for you to be holy and pure, living a life that reflects His goodness. Whether or not this relationship is restored, your primary goal should be to grow in your relationship with Christ, and to become more like Him. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 WEB.
