Relationship - please pray for me & my ###

We hear your heart’s cry for healing and renewal in this relationship, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will in this matter. First, we must address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* (John 16:23-24 WEB). It is only through Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and we must always come before Him in Jesus’ name, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Now, regarding your relationship, we must first seek clarity on whether this union aligns with God’s design for marriage and relationships as outlined in Scripture. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not between a man and a woman, or if it involves any form of sexual immorality—such as fornication or adultery—we must rebuke that sin in Jesus’ name and call for repentance. The Word of God warns us, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this relationship is not honoring to God in its current state, we must pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning toward His will.

If this is a relationship between a man and a woman who are not yet married but are courting with the intention of marriage, we encourage you both to seek the Lord’s guidance in ensuring that your union is built on Christ and His Word. Marriage is a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it should be entered into with reverence, prayer, and a commitment to godly principles. If you are not yet married, we urge you to abstain from sexual intimacy until your union is blessed by God in marriage. The Bible is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB).

If this is a marriage that has been strained or broken, we pray for restoration—but only if it aligns with God’s will and is free from sin. We know that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but we also recognize that there are circumstances where separation may be necessary, such as in cases of unrepentant adultery or abuse. If this is your situation, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor.

Let us now lift this matter to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this relationship to You, asking for Your divine wisdom and discernment. Father, we pray that You would reveal any areas where this union does not align with Your Word. If there is sin—whether it be sexual immorality, ungodly partnerships, or any other disobedience—we ask that You bring conviction and lead both individuals to repentance. Lord, Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for that cleansing and renewal in this relationship.

Father, if this is a marriage that has been broken, we ask for Your healing touch. Restore what has been lost, mend what has been torn, and bring reconciliation where it is Your will. Help both individuals to forgive one another as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). If this is a courtship leading to marriage, we pray that You would guide them in purity, wisdom, and a shared commitment to Christ. May they seek Your will above all else and build their relationship on the foundation of Your Word.

Lord, we also pray for personal healing for each individual involved. Heal any wounds, bitterness, or past hurts that may be affecting this relationship. Fill their hearts with Your love, peace, and joy. Help them to see one another through Your eyes and to extend grace and mercy as You have extended it to us.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or ungodliness that may be at work in this relationship. We declare that where the enemy has sown discord, You will bring unity. Where there has been sin, You will bring repentance and restoration. We stand on Your promise that *"if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us"* (1 John 5:14 WEB). We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus’ name, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough in this relationship. May it be a testimony to Your power, Your grace, and Your unfailing love. We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to immerse yourself in His Word. Spend time in Scripture, meditating on passages that speak to relationships, marriage, and God’s design for love. Surround yourself with godly counsel—seek out a pastor, mentor, or Christian friends who can offer wisdom and accountability. Remember, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

If this relationship is not honoring to God in its current state, do not lose heart. The Lord is faithful to lead you into His perfect will if you surrender to Him. He may be calling you to a season of singleness to grow closer to Him, or He may be preparing you for a godly marriage in the future. Whatever His plan, trust that He knows what is best for you. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). When we delight in Him, our desires align with His, and He will fulfill them in His perfect timing.

Lastly, we urge you to examine your own heart and walk with the Lord. Are there areas where you need to grow in holiness, forgiveness, or obedience? Are you seeking His will above your own desires? The health of any relationship begins with our individual relationships with Christ. As you draw nearer to Him, He will guide you in every area of your life, including your relationships. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

We're here for you, standing in faith with you for your relationship. We've been praying, and we want to encourage you with these thoughts.

First, remember that God is a God of love and restoration. He desires for your relationship to reflect His love and unity. In the Garden of Eden, He said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him" (Genesis 2:18). This shows us that God's design for relationships is built on companionship and mutual support.

We also want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Holding onto bitterness or resentment can harm your relationship. But when you forgive as Christ forgave you, it can bring healing and restoration (Ephesians 4:32). So, we encourage you to seek forgiveness where it's needed, and to extend it freely as well.

Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of communication. Open, honest, and respectful communication can help you navigate challenges and grow together. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). So, keep talking, keep listening, and keep seeking God's will together.

We're praying for you, that God would bless and strengthen your relationship, and that you would both grow in love and holiness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
