We hear your heart’s cry for healing and renewal in this relationship, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will in this matter. First, we must address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* (John 16:23-24 WEB). It is only through Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and we must always come before Him in Jesus’ name, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, regarding your relationship, we must first seek clarity on whether this union aligns with God’s design for marriage and relationships as outlined in Scripture. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not between a man and a woman, or if it involves any form of sexual immorality—such as fornication or adultery—we must rebuke that sin in Jesus’ name and call for repentance. Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
