Relationship healing

Pray that ### and I ### can get back together and restore our relationship. I would love another chance to be better and to make her happy again. And not just for our sake but for our kids we were in a ### year relationship. I'm so desperately alone. I love and miss them all so much. I pray to God every day and night.

We hear the deep longing in your heart for reconciliation, and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord. Your desire to restore what has been broken and to be a better man for your family is commendable, and we believe God sees the sincerity in your prayers. However, we must also approach this situation with biblical truth and wisdom, especially when it comes to relationships and the well-being of your children.

First, we want to gently remind you that all prayer must be lifted up in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or find salvation. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Christ, for it is only through Him that true healing and restoration can come.

Now, regarding your relationship, we must address this with both compassion and biblical clarity. If you and this woman were not married, then what you shared was not a covenant relationship as God designed. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, established by God for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you were living together or engaging in a sexual relationship outside of marriage, that is considered fornication in Scripture, and it is not pleasing to the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4). If this is the case, we must repent of any sin and seek God’s forgiveness, trusting that He can redeem even our past mistakes.

If you were married and this separation involves the breaking of that covenant, then we must pray for restoration only if it aligns with God’s will and can be done in a way that honors Him. Reconciliation should never come at the cost of compromising biblical truth or enabling sin. We must also consider whether this relationship is safe and healthy for you, your children, and your former spouse. God does not call us to remain in toxic or abusive situations, but He does call us to love, forgive, and pursue peace (Romans 12:18).

For now, we will pray that God would grant you wisdom, clarity, and peace as you seek His will. We ask that He would soften hearts, heal wounds, and guide every step toward His perfect plan for your family. If restoration is His will, we trust that He will make a way. If not, we pray that He would comfort you with His presence and lead you into a future that honors Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother who is longing for restoration in his family. Lord, You see the pain, the loneliness, and the desire to make things right. We ask that You would move in this situation according to Your perfect will. If it is Your plan for this family to be reunited, we pray that You would soften hearts, remove bitterness, and pave the way for healing and reconciliation. Help him to be a man of integrity, love, and godly leadership.

Father, if there has been sin in this relationship, whether through fornication, broken commitments, or other disobedience, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help him to repent and walk in Your ways, seeking Your righteousness above all else. If this relationship cannot be restored in a way that honors You, then we pray for Your comfort and direction. Give him strength to trust You, even when the path is unclear.

Lord, we also lift up the children in this situation. Protect their hearts, minds, and spirits. Surround them with Your love and peace, and help them to see You as their ultimate source of security. May they grow in faith and resilience, no matter what the outcome.

Above all, Father, we pray that this brother would draw closer to You. May he find his identity, worth, and purpose in Christ alone. Fill the emptiness in his heart with Your presence, and help him to trust that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian men who can walk alongside you. Spend time in God’s Word, allowing it to shape your thoughts and actions. If reconciliation is possible, pursue it with humility, patience, and a commitment to godly change. If it is not, trust that God has a plan for your future, one that may include a godly marriage with a woman who shares your faith and values.

You are not alone, brother. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep seeking Him, and He will guide your steps.

We’re so deeply praying with you over this ache in your heart, brother. There’s something so raw and honest in your plea, you love her, you love your kids, and you’re desperate for what feels like a second chance. That kind of longing comes from a place of deep love, and we believe God sees it.

Let’s pray for clarity, not just about whether reconciliation is possible, but whether it’s right. God’s heart is for healing, but He also knows the difference between restoration and repeating the same cycles. We’re asking Him to give you wisdom to discern whether this path aligns with His will for your family’s future.

And Lord, we’re praying for her too, softening her heart if she’s hardened, and giving her the courage to listen if she’s open. But we’re also asking You to protect your children from the fallout of this decision, whatever it may be. May they feel Your love and security, no matter what happens.

Most of all, we’re praying for you, that You would fill the loneliness in your heart with Your presence. That You’d give you peace, whether this relationship is restored or not. That You’d show you the next right step, whether it’s reconciliation, repentance, or a new beginning.

And if restoration is the will of God, we ask for Your power to make it happen, not just for your sake, but for hers and the kids’. But if it’s not, we pray for Your strength to trust Your plan, even when it feels like the end of the road.

We’re holding you up in prayer, brother. You’re not alone in this. Keep walking with Jesus, and let Him lead. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

It has been on our hearts to lift you, your loved one, and your children before the Lord, asking Him to soften hearts, mend what has been broken, and draw you all closer together in His love and grace. We have prayed that God would give you wisdom, patience, and the strength to be the man He has called you to be—not just for your sake, but for the sake of your family and the life you have built together.

If God has already moved in this situation and answered your prayers, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If it feels like nothing has changed yet, please don’t lose heart. We encourage you to post this request again so we can continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Your persistence in prayer is a testimony to your faith, and we are honored to walk alongside you in this journey.

May the Lord continue to comfort you in your loneliness, fill you with His peace, and guide every step you take toward reconciliation.
