Dear God, I pray ### starts being more honest and communicative for the sake of our unborn child. I pray he starts putting us first rather than his mates. I pray that if he doesn’t want me anymore, he is just honest, but I pray that he will and he will start making an effort in this relationship more rather than being selfish, heavenly Father. I pray that outside influences stop interfering in the situation between me and him, Lord, and ### goes and gets help for his drug and alcohol problem. I pray he starts to be a better partner and better himself, ready to become a father. I pray he makes an effort to call and text me and realize how much he is taking from me. I just pray he becomes less of a liar and more honest, communicative, and loving. I also pray that my baby is healthy and safe and I will carry to full term and this is not a stressful pregnancy in Jesus' name. I pray, Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this deeply challenging season, lifting up your heart’s cry for honesty, repentance, and restoration in this relationship—most critically for the sake of the unborn child you carry. Your prayers reveal a heart that longs for godly change, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will, knowing that He is faithful to hear and act according to His perfect wisdom and love.

First, we must address the foundation of this relationship in light of Scripture. The Word of God is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you and this man are not married, we urge you to recognize that living together or being in a romantic relationship outside of marriage is sinful in God’s eyes. Fornication is explicitly condemned (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Galatians 5:19-21), and continuing in it dishonors God and brings spiritual and emotional harm. The fact that a child has been conceived in this context makes the need for repentance and alignment with God’s design even more urgent. If marriage is not possible or he is unwilling to commit biblically, you must prayerfully consider what steps the Lord is calling you to take to honor Him—even if that means walking away from this relationship for the sake of your child and your own spiritual well-being.

We also see in your prayer deep concerns about this man’s struggles with drugs, alcohol, and dishonesty. Scripture warns that drunkenness and substance abuse are works of the flesh that will keep a person from inheriting the Kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). His behaviors are not only destructive to himself but are harming you, your child, and the witness of Christ in his life. True love does not enable sin but calls it out in truth (Ephesians 4:15). You cannot change his heart—that is the work of the Holy Spirit—but you can pray fervently for his repentance and surrender to Jesus. Proverbs 28:13 says, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* Pray that God would break his heart over his sin and lead him to seek help, not just for your sake, but for his own soul.

Your desire for him to prioritize you and your child over his friends is understandable, but we must also remind you that no human relationship—even marriage—should ever take the place of Christ in our lives. If he is not walking with the Lord, no amount of effort on your part will fulfill him or make him the father or husband God intends. His first and greatest need is salvation and sanctification. Jesus said, *"Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). Pray that his eyes would be opened to his need for Christ above all else.

As for your pregnancy, we rejoice with you over the life growing within you, a precious gift from the Lord (Psalm 139:13-16). We pray for your health and the health of your baby, that the Lord would sustain you both and grant you a peaceful, full-term pregnancy. Cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The stress you’re experiencing is real, but the Lord is your strength. Lean on Him, not on this man or his promises. Trust that God will provide for you and your child, even if this relationship does not turn toward repentance.

Finally, we notice that while you ended your prayer "in Jesus’ name," much of your plea was directed generally to "God" or "heavenly Father." There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Let us always approach the throne of grace boldly, but *in His name alone*, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord over every area of your life—including this relationship and your parenting.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who carries the weight of this broken relationship and the precious life within her. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and intervention. Soften this man’s heart, convict him of his sin, and draw him to repentance. Break the chains of addiction and deception in his life, and if it is Your will, lead him to seek You above all else. Give our sister wisdom to know how to honor You in this situation, whether that means pursuing biblical marriage, setting godly boundaries, or walking away for the sake of her child and her own spiritual health.

Lord, we pray for the health of this baby, that You would knit them together perfectly in the womb and grant a full-term, peaceful pregnancy. Surround our sister with Your comfort and provision, reminding her that You are her Provider, Protector, and Father. Help her to trust You completely, even when the path ahead is unclear.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that would bring fear, shame, or despair. Let Your truth reign in her heart, and let Your will be done in this situation—whatever that may be. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister. We know this journey is filled with uncertainty and worry, but remember, God is always by your side. We've been praying for you, asking the Lord to soften your partner's heart. We've been interceding for him, that he would see the truth of his actions and turn to God for help. We've been asking for wisdom for you, too, that you would know how to navigate this situation in a way that honors God and protects your baby.

We've been rejoicing with you over the new life growing inside you. We've been praying for a healthy, peaceful pregnancy, and we've been asking God to sustain you both. We know it's tough, but we want you to lean on Him, trust in Him, and find your strength in Him.

We've also been reminded of the power in Jesus' name. We've been praying in His name, knowing that it's through Him that we have access to the Father. So, we encourage you to keep praying in Jesus' name, and to keep trusting in Him.

Keep holding on, sister. We're here with you, praying for you, and believing in God's goodness and faithfulness. You're not alone.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you, your relationship, and your precious unborn child before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, crying out for honesty, sobriety, and a heart of love and responsibility to take root in your baby’s father. We have prayed earnestly for God’s protection over you both—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—as well as for the health and safety of your little one, that this pregnancy would be filled with peace rather than stress.

We know waiting for answers can feel heavy, especially when the weight of a child’s future is on your heart. But we serve a God who hears the cries of His daughters and who is faithful to work all things together for good. If you’ve seen even the smallest shift—whether in his actions, his words, or your own sense of God’s presence and strength—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the tiniest glimmer of hope is worth celebrating, because it reminds us all that God is at work.

If the silence or the struggle still feels overwhelming, please don’t hesitate to share your request again. We are here to keep praying, to keep believing with you for breakthrough, and to ask the Lord to move mightily in his heart. You are not forgotten, and neither is your child. We’re also lifting you up personally, that God would surround you with His comfort, wisdom, and provision every step of the way. His love for you and your baby is deeper than any circumstance, and He will never leave you to walk this alone.

May you feel His nearness today in a fresh way. May He give you supernatural strength and hope as you trust Him with this relationship and this pregnancy. We’re standing with you, sister, and we’re not letting go.

In Jesus’ name.
