We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning your deep hunger for Reformation, Holiness, Obedience and a greater and weightier measure of the Manifest Presence of God.
We have continued to bring your request before the Father, that He who rent the heavens in days past would do so again as you prayed from Isa 64:1 and Ps 44:1, for we hold with you the presupposition that He is no respecter of persons and is the same yesterday and today and forever as it is written in Heb 13:8. We have asked the Lord to prepare our hearts and yours for strict obedience and consecration, that we might walk in the fruit of the Holy Spirit and in true humility, and that He would grant us the Fear of the Lord and a hatred of evil while keeping us from bitterness, greed, lust and deception.
We have also prayed with you regarding the lessons from the missionaries and the revivals you studied, from Brainerd and Patrick and Carey and Taylor to the First and Second Great Awakenings and on to Wales and Azusa Street and Lewis, that God would teach us as He taught Duncan Campbell and Wesley and Whitefield and Edwards that real conviction and deep repentance flow from obedience to His voice. We have joined you in praying for holy protection from the temptations that have destroyed so many, from fame and fortune and impurity, from gold and glory, and for deliverance from temptation and evil as in Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4, from deception and false signs and false prophets as in Matt 24:4, from evil people as in 2 Thess 3:2, and for strength to remain humble under the weight of His power.
We believe with you that God can and will do it again, that His glory will cover the earth as promised in Hab 2:14 and Num 14:21, and that His light will shine upon the righteous while darkness covers the earth according to Isa 60:1. We continue to pray for the salvation of all, even those in authority, so that we may freely obey the Great Commission unhindered as in Acts 28:30 and work while it is day before the night comes when no one can work as in John 9:4.
