My father is currently in ICU recovering from a laparascopic resection for stage 4 colon cancer with secondary liver cancer.
He is getting worse everyday with kidneys worsening, fluid build up in lungs, under heavy sedation with respirator assistance. What was supposed to be a simple procedure has become a life or death situation with doctors telling us to end his life due to suffering, whereas my father prior to being unconscious strongly stated that he wants to live. We understand there is no cure, but we strongly believe he can have quality in his remaining years. Currently we are fighting for my father's life, to give him quality. He is still alive and responsive. We pray and request prayer assistance for him to come home and spend his remaining life with quality and loved ones. I pray that he does not die in the hospital in a strange, unfamiliar, and cold environment.
